Definitely paying for location, everything is walking distance. I was very disappointed having to pay a per day parking fee considering I'm staying at the hotel and over paying for the room. Bed was comfortable.

Very nice location to historic area of St Augustine. We walked everywhere. Will stay here again.

Room had a strong mildew odor. It was tolerable after we opened the door and ran the a/c for awhile. You are basically paying for a good location.

The accomodations were adequate for what we needed. Thank you.

The reason we chose this hotel was because we have been here before and we liked it, good price, great location.

Everything we needed to get information on was right nest door to us at the visitors information center. Being on a walker worked out very well.

We booked fairly last minute for the Thanksgiving weekend so there was not much availability. We were warmly greeted by Sheri at the front desk and off to our room very quickly. The room was simple but sufficed for our needs. The staff was very nice and accommodating. If you are looking for a simple, clean place to rest your head this is a good choice. The breakfast was basic but everything was nicely laid out. Good coffee, breads, eggs, cereals, and oatmeal. I really liked that they had coffee and ice water available all day long. At high end hotels you wind paying a premium for a quick cup of coffee.

However, the toliet did not flush well and the shower curtain rod was falling off the wall and had to take our breakfast back to the room as there wasn't enough room in the dining area. On the bright side , we had arrived early, checked in (room was not ready, but that was okay), and recieced the parking pass. As this was about 3 hours before checkin, we were able to leave the car and about the town.

When I checked out as I was not given any paperwork, I went to the front desk and was advised that there was a $5.00 charge for the one parking place. I was questioned that charge and was told by the assistant manager that I signed that I understood this requirement. But shame on me for not actually reading the disclaimer. The check in attendant verbally told me I would be responsible if I should smoke in the room and if I would try to bring in a pet. Other than that it was a good stay and the free breakfast was great. I have stayed at hotels that they might have a processed Danish, cereal banana etc. which was what I suggested. Good for Great Western. PS - The hotel indicated I would receive a receipt from you and I did not see. Can you re-send for my records. Thank you!

This was a nice hotel in a Great!!! location. We were within walking distance of most attractions and dining in downtown St. Augustine. I would definately stay here again!

This hotel is below what I would expect for a 3 star hotel and certainly not worth $170 a night. The included breakfast was pitiful and standing room only due to a very limited dining room space with only 4 tables. Additionally, I was charged for parking when that was not mentioned anywhere at the time of the reservation.

7 girls go on yearly trips so we are use to seeing all types of hotels. Staff was wonderful and went out of their way to help and suggest restaurants and sights to see. Trolley was across the street. Close to walk everywhere. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable ( high), large refrig and microwave in rooms. Good breakfast. Sat around pool in evening to relax. Will definitely stay again.Even printed our plane tickets for us.

First time in st augustine...good location for the money! Had a problem with the AC and had to move rooms...inconvenienced but the staff was very friendly and helpful so can't complain. Rooms are updated but the bathroom could use some work and very tiny! Weekend breakfast should be extended till 11am. Overall good stay!

Parking was very tight $5.00 fee for parking. Room was comfortable bathroom very small particularly tub & toilet very cramped. curtains had paint drips all over them quite outdated.Staff was very helpful in securing event promotions.very close to historic distric a plus

I have had a previous bad experience at this hotel but decided to give it another try. New furniture in the rooms (much needed) room were much cleaner than last time. A New weekend hot breakfast was added, which was tasty and very appreciated. I would recommend this to friends and stay here again.

Excellent location, close to everything. Older building. Tight parking. Rooms are small and need some TLC, paint and updating. Breakfast room is much too small. Staff is helpful. The listing shows free parking but at checkout they wanted to charge $5.00/night until I showed them the listing.

it's all about the location, and we experienced it here, the 3 day trolley pkg. was superb!! we parked the car at the hotel and never had to get back in it, until we headed for home!! walking, shopping, the tours and museums are a must see and do!! we plan on coming back, hopefully, in Jan. or Feb. of 2014!! tks to all the staff at Best Western Spanish Quarters!!

My room had a musty smell. The fridge was not working. We realized that it was not plugged in, so we had to move it to an outlet. The shower gave nice hot water for 3 minutes, then it turned cold. The breakfast area had space for 10 people, so we only had breakfast there once. Parking fee was waived when I complained: parking was supposed to be free. The second room smelled better, but had a shower without pressure. It was a disappointing experience. The best thing was the location: everything was in walking distance!

staff friendly and helpful - especially the blond woman that checked us in. Gave us good tips on activities and restaurants. Location was great - within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see. Room clean and quiet, air conditioner worked great - which was good since we were there in august and it was hot outside! Nice tv, worked well. Bathroom was very small but clean and adequate. Didn't use the pool or hot tub but they were both well-maintained. Continental breakfast pretty standard but area it was set up in pretty small. I would recommend to a friend

We had an awful experience at this hotel! One of our rooms was supposed to be non-smoking, and it reeked of smoke. They moved us to another room that was without a shower curtain (they brought us a wet one, ick). Our second room had a dirty toilet, some socks on the floor, and a broken phone. Also, the AC didn't work. When I told the guy at the front desk, he said he would call his manager about a discount or help me find another hotel. While checking out, a woman who was supposedly the assistant manager, was rude and refused to help us with any type of discount. The location was great, but it would have been worth it to choose a hotel somewhere else and drive downtown.

Mi, We appreciate you choosing to stay with us while visiting our lovely city. It looks as though you enjoyed your visit and the many aspects of our hotel. I am sorry to read you did not appreciate the 5 dollar parking fee we charge our guests. Unfortunately this is a standard aspect of hotels this close to downtown. On a positive note, we are the lowest priced parking fee in the downtown area. Thank you for your review and hope you will return to our lovely city soon!
