Amazing hotel! Everything and everyone exceeded expectations. From early check in to late check out. Housekeeping staff (Asanka, Nifras and Indika) were amazing. Always checking to make sure we had enough water and that everything was tended to. Highly recommended!
We arrived after 11pm from the airport, and had a quick checkin. We were handed a letter saying the electricity would be off for 9-5 the next day! Not a pleasant surprise. The two bedroom apartment was nice, but showing it’s age. Large paint flakes were on the floor of the bedroom. Wooden doors and their frames were very damaged, and just whitewashed to try and look in good shape. It has a balcony, but it’s locked, so no good to us. A decent kitchen and living room setup. Breakfast at Flow was great! Head chef Rohan was very helpful, and cooked up some special orders. Great fruit, interesting sushi combinations (mango!), pizza and so many different items made it a fun first stop every morning. The hot water heater in the laundry room was leaking. We notified them right away, and they fixed it. Of course by fix it, they made it so there was NO hot water in the apartment. It took more than a day, and 3 attempts before we finally had hot water. A serious failing here. We had a friend take us to dinner at Flow one evening. It started out fine. The first food items came fairly quick. Mains took awhile, but were tasty. It was getting very hot in our section. It appears the AC was off or not working. It was never fixed that night. There were only two servers for the entire restaurant. After getting our mains, it was almost impossible to have him return to the table. We ordered an ice cream dessert. 10, 15, 20 minutes go by, and it doesn’t arrive. We then notice a melting dish of ice cream at the crepe station, which turns out to have been sitting there for 20+ minutes. Getting the bill took even longer. The final problem was on our last day, when once again, electricity was going to be turned off for an extended time during the day. No wifi in the room, and no AC gets uncomfortable very fast.
We spent 6 days at this hotel and had a three bedroom apartment. Very comfortable. Master bedroom had a ensuite and the other two beedrooms shared a very well equipt bathroom. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The hotel is well situated and central to all Colombo sites. The check in was quick and the the staff were very friendly. Breakfast is catered for all tastes and plentyful. The chefs, the wait staff and restaurant managers very fantastic and every request was prompt. We were well and truly spoilt. A great big thank you to the Managers, waitstaff, chefs, room service, check in and the doormen you helped make this a good holiday.
We were invited to the Jaic Hilton for a birthday party. They had individual rooms that is given out for such events. They had even made the birthday girls cake too. Was was buffet which was consumed from the common coffee shop. Their seafood menu was good. Great mix of asian and international food. Ask the chef to personally make your soup and they bring it to your table. Excellent
Comfortable hotel with pleasant staff offering a good base for central area of the city. Great breakfast and lunchtime bar. Excellent swimming pool with an okay gym. Good Wi-fi. Good conference facilities. Well appointed apartment with kitchen and utility room.
The customer service here is second to none. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious and well appointed - unless you want to do proper cooking. But why would you? The restaurant has a good selection and is excellent, as is the poolside. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this.
The hotel is centrally located within the Colombo CBD and is only a few minutes away from most things via a taxi or tuk tuk. All staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional, but a big thanks to Angelo (restaurant)He did an exceptional job.He was always very polite, professional and ever ready to help.
The apartment was a great size and service was good. Sadly there is a large construction project going on all through the night outside on one side of the building and the noise is annoying. Nothing much the hotel can do about it. It is s shame construction even carries on into the night on a saturday
This is my second visit to this property within the recent 6 months and totaled 5 visits within 3 years. I was pleasantly surprised when most members from Flow recognized me when I was back this time. Without fail, the warm greetings I received every morning made my day in Colombo. Keep it up! During check in, I was disappointed that not given a member floor when I present my member number. The staff quoted the booking was under another name. Given the unit comes with 2 bedroom, I don't think that should be the reason we are not given a better room. Other than the check in incident, I would have given this property 5 stars.
A huge thank you to all the staff at the Hilton Residences. We’ve just returned from a 13 night stay with our family of 5 and it’s been an absolute pleasure to stay with you again (our fifth visit). Our apartment (1602) was extremely spacious. The bathrooms were modern with awesome rainfall showers. The kitchen was practical with a large fridge/freezer that kept the kids drinks ice cold and their ice-cream.......well, frozen. Great views of the new Lotus tower from the lounge and bedrooms too. The whole apartment was immaculately clean and the air conditioning worked a treat (which was really handy as we turned the dining table into a table-tennis table!) The 24-hour gym was excellent and again the kids loved it. Most nights we’d head down after Midnight and work out to the beat of our own music (it was very private indeed!) The jacuzzi, the steam room, the sauna.... everything was perfect. Also a huge thank you to Jason and his colleagues at the poolside for looking after us so well. We were disappointed the table-tennis table had gone but as mentioned before we improvised! The swimming pool is a decent size, the sun beds are plentiful and there is even a play area if you’ve got small children (or big!) Overall, another fantastic stay. We look forward to seeing you all next year :-) Warmest of wishes, The Bailey’s
