Staying here for 4 nights right now . If your budget stretches take a room close to the spa , floor 5 . Huge rooms and windows bathrooms with fantastic views and close to the reception infinity pool ,one of three . Other rooms appear to be of poorer quality and location as the hotel stretches over many hundreds of meters. Pool areas are small but deserted during the day . Buffet restaurant serves plentiful food to cater for any taste . Good quality and plenty for those not eating meat or shellfish . At night ask for an outside table which for some strange reason are not popular . There are huge anti insect lanterns lit and we have had no problem with insect bites . All in all a great location to explore the cultural triangle with the best views you are ever likely to encounter. But do be beware of the type of room you book and it’s location.

This is the perfect hotel for your honeymoon. The hotel is located in a beautiful location with two wings which has a sigiriya view and dambulla view. It faces kandalama lake and is covered with wines and is completely green. You would have your own privacy cz of the vastness of the hotel but could also occupy yourself in different activities. Food is delicious and has so many varieties to try out that you wouldn't be able to have 3 meals per day. Some parts of the hotel seemed to be not maintained but i guess it is hard to maintain such a big hotel. Would definitely go again this year.

After a careful research of all hotels in this area, I opted for this one because of its unique architecture with greenery and stunning views from some rooms displayed in the hotel website and last but not the least all the rave reviews on tripadvisor. The company owns quite a few other properties, which are highly rated and regarded across Sri Lanka. However, my experience of two nights stay did not live up to my expectations. First, my room no.344 was below ground level without any views. What a disappointment! Next, the distance between my room and the main dining hall on the sixth floor, was quite a long walk. In between there would be two slow moving elevator rides. The room was fairly tired and not maintained properly. The telephone instrument was stinking and electric kettle filled with thick dregs. Dinner buffet was part of the package and it was fairly widespread. I loved the section where they lined up local Sri Lankan dishes. Service standards lacked consistency. I am going with four out of five mainly because of its unique location.

Clean modern hotel, if a little tired in its decorations. Good size bedroom and bathroom. No bath though, and the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. We reported this on the first day but nothing was done about it in the four days were there. The staff were very friendly and polite especially the room service (Damish and Chadhura were five star). The food was good for a four star hotel with plenty of choice, both Sri Lankan and European. Entertainment in the evenings provided a nice local musical background. The hotel is almost a kilometre from end to end so be prepared for some walking. The outlook from our balcony was stunning as you look out over the jungle to the lake.

If you visit Dambulla, you will want to choose this hotel. This hotel seamlessly melds with nature and provides the perfect accommodation. If I had to describe the hotel, words such as tasteful, architecturally significant, unobtrusive, and relaxing would come to mind. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were professional, friendly, and engaging, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this property. We toured Sri Lanka with a wonderful and perfect private guide, Ashoka Dissanayaka. If you are looking for an incredible private guide, I would highly recommend Ashoka.

My family, friends have stayed here may a time, and an outstanding Business Training program organised by me have been held here. I it absolutely world class. I have no doubt once one goes through their website any superlatives will be as they say, I quote "carrying coal to New Castle" Hence I stop! period

One of the best hotel ever seen...🍝 excelente service .. Food was delicious and creativity arrenge.🍖🍝☕️ Staff service very good.. Over roll great experience and view of the hotel is green we love the look..

We have been regular visitors to this hotel over the years and were recently in the Dambulla Sigiriya area so returned for food and drink which is excellent. The hotel itself has a slightly dated air about it but what we really love is the architecture and location. It has been constructed so it lies beautifully set into the rocks of the landscape and blends so beautifully with nature. It is a large building but is unobtrusive and overlooks a huge lake or tank as it is locally known. The hotel prides itself on being an eco-friendly hotel and has done a lot to support the development of the village within which it is situated. Many birds can be seen as well as other wildlife and you will find many monkeys around the place. It is not cheap by any means, but if you are looking for a very interesting hotel that blends with nature then this is a good place to be.

Located in the heart of the cultural triangle with relatively easy access to Sigiriya and the Dambulla cave temples this is a very popular short term stay for tourists of all nationalities. Interesting design on the top of a granite outcrop with minimal intrusion to the neighbouring eco system the hotel is unusual and not without charm. However some of the facilities are looking a little tired and the whole enterprise seems vaguely amateurish and quaint. Rooms are just about okay for a hotel of this supposed quality but the waterfall shower is powerful and invigorating. The buffet in the restaurant is great value for money though, to my mind, trying to cater to all tastes without ever pleasing anyone. It’s sister hotel in Negombo is a great example of how it should be done. Wi-fi is free but very slow and although the staff are uniformly lovely the service is pretty haphazard. Notwithstanding this I would still recommend the hotel for a short stay.

This hotel was amazing. The view is amazing and it has a gorgeous pool looking out into the forest and lake. The hotel incorporates nature very nicely into the hotel setting. The check in process was a little slow and unclear but other than that every employee is very professional and friendly. I want to mention Vishan Wijewickramar from housekeeping. Especial thanks to Vishan, he's a great employee and extremely sweet. He checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed. He folded an adorable towel elephant during turndown. He even spent time teaching us all the animals he knew how to fold. When we checked out, even though he didn't have to, he brought all of our luggages to the front desk. He gave us a very nice amenity during check out too. It was a really nice gesture.
