The location was ideal to explore Dambulla,Sigiraya,Polunnorrowa. The room was very comfortable. The food was excellent with lots of choices and friendly service.very natural surroundings with monkeys frolicking and lots of birds chirping.

Stayed 2 nights on our private Sri Lanka tour. Check in was nice and quick and we were shown to our room. The room we had was the lower of a block of 2. The room had TV, kettle, mini bar, a sitting area in side and also a sitting area outside. Bathroom with shower and bath tub. Our meal plan was half board, both buffet style. Lots of choice for both meals, nice candlelight atmosphere in the restaurant overlooking the pool area. We stayed at 2 cinnamon hotels during our trip and the buffet selection was better here. We always found a nice meal from the buffet or 1 of the live cooking stations which had pasta or noodles in the evening. There is a bar area to enjoy pre or post dinner drinks. A 625 ml bottle of local lager was around 650 rupees. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. We would have happily stayed an extra night to just relax in the hotel grounds.

We stayed here for three nights in the deluxe room. Very spacious with a large shower and a bath. Very quiet with only the monkeys waking us on occasion! The staff were attentive, one waiter in particular Asaanka was very pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable of the area and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were happy. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The buffet style food was of a high standard and had food types that I am sure would suit everyone.

It's a nice hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room. Rooms are a little old but nothing to complain. It was good like all other cinnamon hotels. The food was excellent. It was like a mini street food festival. My husband liked it a lot.The staff was very friendly and the service here is good. We will definitely want to go back. A big thank you to Miss.Amalki at the call center for her usual good service and the entire cinnamon lodge team for the superb service. Wathsala & Shehan.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. Great hospitality and nothing was too much. Food was excellent. Really relaxing stay. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet atmosphere with lots of sounds of nature outside. Lots of trips available to explore the area.

This is an eco-friendly hotel located close to the town of Habarana in a forested area on the edge of a large lake. The accommodation is scattered around the grounds, mostly in stylish looking two storey 'cottages', one room on top, the other on the ground floor. This was my first stay in a Sri Lankan hotel inland from the west coast resorts and I wondered if the Cinnamon Lodge would struggle to meet the same standards. I needn't have worried. The rooms were excellent – spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped with the type of facilities you would expect; air conditioning, wi-fi, mini-bar, safe, satellite TV. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower cubicle. All rooms have either a large balcony or verandah. A good sized swimming pool is located directly outside the restaurant. The food, served buffet style, was excellent, both in variety and quality. The extensive grounds were a delight, with a jogging trail, footpaths and ponds. The site abounds with wildlife – birds, butterflies, and most obviously monkeys. The location is convenient for excursions to Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa, Dambulla and even Anuradhapura.

Wonderful hotel with excellent service. They arranged various tours and transportation for us with ease. Disappointed with some of the buffet food for a five star hotel. On first evening my partner and selected several meat curries that were either lacking in meat or meat was very tough. Other downside when it rained paths were flooded, had to wade ankle deep through rain water to reach restaurant area

Outstanding staff in every respect. Spent 3 days here and it makes an excellent base to tour the regions antiquities. Very well kept grounds, great facilities and excellent food. Ate twice in the restaurant and had brilliant meals, buffet also very good. We weren’t sure of some of the dishes so one of the Sous Chefs spent time with us explaining and tasting with us all around the variously cuisines; the kind of genuine care and concern you just don’t get in other parts of the world. We had the whole of the first floor of one of the bungalows which whilst showing its deliberate colonial style and age, was nonetheless delightful. A session in the spa one afternoon after Sigera was perfect.

Loved the Cinnamon Lodge! Stayed 3 nights. Fabulous swimming pool next to the main restaurant. The food was very good with a wide choice. Staff were all lovely and helpful. The hotel grounds are very lush green, with a lovely nature trail and herb, flower gardens. The monkeys which are all around are very cute and extremely entertaining! The rooms are mainly in individual two-storey buildings which are nicely decorated and fitted with good quality furnishings. Slept so well! A great base for elephant safari (saw two very large herds), and Sigiriya Rock which are both a must to visit! Would definitely go back there. Spent half of each day swimming and relaxing by the pool and the other half out sight-seeing. Perfect!

Went on a trip to Sri Lanka in September with a group of friends. Stayed here for 2 nights in an independent cottage. Rooms are fine, some are independent cottages & some have 2 floors. it is like staying in a forest resort where nature is given importance. The food was surprisingly good with lots of both veg & non-veg options. At the bar they have a live band every evening.
