I was bitten by bedbugs and the carpets were extremely dirty.

We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and we were travelling with our dog. It was perfect for our needs. We had a double queen room on the main floor with a walk out sliding door. We originally requested a king room, but we were offered the double queen as the king rooms were on the 4th or 5th floors. I was leery because of some of the negative reviews, but we found this place to clean and safe with a great price. The check-in staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again. It's a great location for access to UMass Amherst and the town of Amherst.

Older and dated hotel. looks better from the highway

Hotel was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff were friendly. Location was great, and free parking.

We were staying here when my family came to drop me off before semester. Clean and spacious room. They had all the amenities in the room. Nothing too fancy but comfortable for a few nights stay.

I stayed here to pick up my son early in the morning from college. The room was clean and comfortable but not luxurious. Breakfast was satisfactory with yogurt, toast, cereal, and coffee. It was a clean, quiet, and comfortable stay which was what I was looking for.

Our bedroom (2 queens) was large and pleasant, but the tub had been reglazed and was nonetheless peeling. The lobby was oddly located on the 2nd floor, so the first time we took the stairs down, we had great difficulty finding the lobby. Signage was non-existent, or misleading. Also, since the hotel is located on a busy, divided street, we often had to come in via the back entrance -- which had an enormous pothole stretching over both lanes. We had little interaction with the staff, but the room was clean and the linens crisp and pleasing.

It's exactly what you'd expect - kind of outdated, but comfortable and for the most part clean. The floor was a bit dingy in our bathroom but overall the beds were fine and everything else seemed clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was very average - coffee, toast, cereal, yogurt. Nothing to write home about. Best part is they accept pets.

Clean, no frills room for a homecoming visit. Perfectly adequate with convenient location close to Amherst. Only issue was spotty to non-existent wifi in my room located at the back of the hotel.

Only the lobby has been updated rooms are OLD. Having said that, it was quiet, clean and a reasonable stay. Staff were very nice.

There was a concert at UMass that weekend and the hotel was packed with young people partying. I asked to move rooms and was immediately accommodated which was very nice. The breakfast area was crammed with people (same partiers) so I didnt get to have anything there but it looked like it was an ok breakfast for the money. There's nothing remarkable about this hotel. It's pretty old too, but clean and comfortable enough for one night's stay.

I stayed here last year with my sister and mom for 3 days. The hotel was very clean, staff friendly, close proximity to mall and mega bus stop. Very bare bones hotel for a quick stay. Has free wifi which is a plus. That's where the amenities stop.

Business, centrally located to my job, king size bed was comfortable. Quiet area. Located near resteraunts

work trip with little needs needed but reliable place with good price and staff

Hotel was conivent to location of where I was working and close to dining.

The stay was OK. The lift did not work. The staff did not seem to care about the inconvenience.

Went back to Amherst for Homecoming and had a delightful stay at the Hojo. Friendly staff and great location!

We have stayed at this Hojo a number of times, mainly because of its proximity to our son's college. However, it also has a number of other factors in its favor, including free Wi-Fi, plenty of parking, reasonable pricing, 24-hour coffee and tea and very pleasant staff.

The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Everyone from desk to maid was welcoming to us. There was one day they did not straighten our room but someone had hung their do not disturb sign on our door. I guess they thought it funny. But the desk help gave us towels and everything was fine. The amenities were average. An outdoor pool that was closed. An indoor or heated pool would have been usable. I did not see any gym or exercise equipment. The room was spacious and we were surprised that we had a suite. The travel company did not tell us that. Our only complaint with the whole trip was that the hotel could have been closer to Northampton, which the travel company knew was where we were going. So we drove the rental car a bit more than we planned. Over all, it was excellent accommodations,

After a long day driving, I got to sleep in peace for one good night.
