This hotel is average on the whole. The room was a good size, clean, comfortable and attractive. The problem was that it is over half a block long, two stories high, and people park their cars right by their rooms. This may seem convenient, but it makes for very noisy traffic at all hours. The second night, a group of 20+ -yr-olds moved in across the hall from us at about midnight. They were loud, shouting, arguing, laughing, swearing in the hall, going in and out of the room, slamming doors, etc. We called reception and they had security come and tell them to quiet down. They did not. After half hour, we had to call again. Security came again and warned them to be quiet. They did not. After an hour and a half of this, my husband called and said he would call the police or we would have to leave at 1 am if they didn't do something about the racket. They finally came and kicked the noisy people out. But it was too late for us. It took an hour and a half of intense noise for them to remedy the situation. We did not sleep, and my husband, who has a chronic illness and has to schedule his sleeping time on meds, had to miss his next day in Spokane in order to sleep during the day. I think it took them too long to get the rude people out, considering it was after midnight and they were going back and forth to their cars, probably drinking, and carousing. What are paying customers supposed to do? The hotel said they were sorry, but offered no compensation. Loud people in parking lot

Basic accommodations, nothing fancy. Clean with comfortable beds. Central location. Helpful staff. Good price. Would stay again.

Pet friendly, clean, great view of the river from the dining patio. Very nice hotel for the price.

It's right on the river, walk out the door and you can walk riverside for miles.

check in was uneventful room was tidy, however it was quite a hike from the lobby restaurant was decent

Staff very helpful. Had dinner there not the best food and over priced

We've stayed at the Red Lion River Inn twice now, and have loved it both times. Two pools, easy walking distance to plenty of shopping and dinner options, and a running path along the river make this a popular choice for our family. I'm sure we'll be back.

The Red Lion on the River only have the name of Red Lion but nothing luxurious about it. The inside of the hotel is dark and had a smell of a cigarette. It has 10 exits to the outside but no accessible elevator. Only two floors and no hot tub or pool inside. The water in the outside pool is around 60 degrees but the staff claims its kept at 80 degrees. The breakfast is horrible and cheap. Run down coffees and unfriendly staff. Never staying there again.

It was my first time to stay in this hotel. It was a really nice experience and Absolutely I will come back. I asked to change my room to have a better view, they willingly accepted my request and gave me a beautiful view by the river.

We arrived around 11:30 p.m. The free airport shuttle was right there waiting (for airline staff) and we got right on and drove off. Bed and pillow were very comfortable. Free airport shuttle back that afternoon. EASY. Staff was VERY nice.

Over night stay while visiting Gonzaga. Everything was fine.

They've improved a lot since I had stayed there a few years back. Very pleased and very clean. Food was fantastic as well as the staff.

Front desk and check-in, great. Staff around hotel, nice. Location, convenient. Rooms, DIRTY! I could tell the room was not clean the moment we walked in from the looks of the bathroom floor and the ring in the toilet. Our kids' feet turned black from walking around the room, and there were crusty marks on parts of table tops throughout the room. Coming back to the room the next day, the beds were fixed all nice, but all the things on the bathroom floor were still there, so I could tell they still didn't at least sweep.

It's nice has access to outdoor if on the bottom floor

good and was clean close to the Jensen show was within walking distance

This was a nice hotel for a night on a long road trip. It would be a great option for longer stays because of all the amenities in the room. I'm happy it was pet friendly and we had a patio type door that opened out to a little outdoor area. Great for taking dogs out to pee. The girls at reception were really lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay again. Just keep in mind it's a college town and nearby areas get packed.

It was a great rest area after bringing our daughter up for her Senior year at Gonzaga

Good location and a nice hotel for the price paid. Right by the park and waterfalls.

Nice hotel, close to everything. Easy to get on continental trail

I was here at this hotel for the second time on business. I love the location, the riverfront walkway is fantastic and easy to get downtown. The outdoor happy hour is wonderful and love the additional touch of plants, herbs and veggies outside. Great touch. Front desk staff was wonderful and many thanks to them.
