Villa Rustica is a delightful place with excellent service. The women who keep this place so clean, cook a great breakfast and make you feel so welcome are a great team. They cooked us a lovely meal on the last night and we have already booked to go back! The reviews which are top marks are fully deserved while the very few reviews which are 3 stars remind me of Basil Fawlty asking what view madam expected? Herds of wilderbeast sweeping across..... It is close to the harbour and all the restaurants we tried where good with v reasonable prices. The Mediterranea Hotel had excellent service although the food was a bit plain. The Resturant we found to be the best was the second one (can't remember the name lol) as you walked around the harbour just past the one that served pizzas. Lovely food and v good local wine. The views across to the islands and the mountains were spectacular and we loved the beach bar watching the sun go down. Trogir is a lovely town just a few minutes by car, which we had hired for £105 for two weeks, excellent value and handy as we liked to travel around a bit. The village is perfect for couples but if you have kids don't expect Butlins, as some of the reviews seemed to want entertainment for their kids. But the water is shallow and lovely so great for paddling and swimming. The towns have a lot of roman influences as this was the last area controlled by the romans and they built a lot of palaces so great for sightseeing.

My husband and I have just returned from 10 nights stay at the delightful Villa Rustica Dalmatia in Croatia. We were looked after so well by Zdravka and Seka, they could not do enough for you. The breakfast was outstanding with lots to choose from (fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal, meats & cheeses, pancakes, bread, jams, various hot drinks and juices and a choice of eggs cooked exactly at you wanted them. Everyday we were given various food to take away with us which was a lovely touch. We were also cooked a dinner towards the end of our holiday which was very nice. The villa we stayed in was lovely & fairly spacious for a studio. It was kept very clean with a very comfy double bed, great shower cubicle and kitchenette area. The air conditioning was also included which was greatly needed. We had a nice size patio area with table & chairs The pool was a fair size but rather chilly! You are only 70m from the main beach area (which is gravely, beach shoes would help) there are a couple of beach bars and a few restaurants (a couple more restaurants would have be good) but you can always get the boat taxi from the marina into Trogir on an hourly basis (approx £3 per person each way) where there were plenty of restaurants to choose from which we did on a few occasions. Our overall stay at Villa Rustica was a delightful experience and we will definitely return in the future. Thanks again to everyone at Villa Rustica. Bev & Mike

We have just returned from the Rustica and found the level of service and friendliness of the team world class. Our host baked cakes for us almost daily and was lawsy bringing snacks, drinks and fresh fruit to our room.On our last night she cooked us the best meal we had in Croatia-complimentary! She also arranged tours and taxi trips. The actual accommodation was lovely too. Highly recommended!

Everything that Gardeningwoman and Barcelona21 say is right. the staff are helpful, conscientious, hard-working, especially Zdravka. The place is spotless. We also got a spacious apartment , though only booking a double room (with EasyJet hols). It had a hob with 2 rings , a fridge. The second pool is very handy, but the (pebble) beach is only 5 mins walk. It is very quiet, though the traffic down to the harbour can be busy. The 4 restaurants are all good especially the fish, but not the salads. Wish we had taken the boat to Trogir instead of bus. We got bus to Split where Diocletian's palace took most of our day. I last visited Split 51 years ago when all the coast and Sarajevo and Belgrade were all Yugoslavia. I was please to still be able to walk the Roman streets, though there are more tourists and stalls. One other niggle which the hotel can do nothing about, the smoking on the beach, fag-ends in places, but you can walk along to quiteter spots, especially towards the campsite. This was middle of June, might get busier later. I liked the variety of visitors, quite a lot of Germans, some Austrians, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenes and quite a few Croatians apart from locals.

Loved this place, all the reviews you read are 100% true, the staff are second to none and work as a great team, our apartment was spotless, loved how the cleaners was so discreet, pool was kept very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, lovely pastries/pancakes every day, and you were given a plateful of food for lunch. The beach is small pebbles and no sand so you will need good footwear, water is very clear and great to swim in, I loved sitting at the bar and watching the 🌅 sunset going down in the evening. There is one thing which is out of everyone's control, and that is the Mosquitos, make sure you take some good spray and try not to leave your apartment door open for too long, because I'll tell you, they will hunt you out, I don't usually get bitten, but they didn't seem to mind who they went for. I loved the little friendly town, you have lots of trips on offer. There is also a small boat that goes to Trigor every day, loved this place, great little market over the bridge. On our last day, we were treated to a meal which was really nice, the staff made you feel really special, nothing was too much trouble for them, there was one day when we wanted to go into split, we were offered a lift into Trigor bus station were we hopped on a 🚌 bus, you can also get a boat from Trigor into split. This place is a must visit, I don't usually go back to a place twice, but I would definitely go back here, hope this review helps.

Wonderful place to stay,We had an early flight from the UK and were greeted by Zdravka with a snack on arrival. Very hospitable. Our appartment consisted of 1 double bedroom with a small kitchen area, sitting room and bathroom. We also had a small balcony where we could sit and enjoy a glass of local wine. The cleanliness was amazing throughout the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the staff all extremely pleasant and so helpful. Zdravka is helpful, amusing and can answer any question you may have. A great asset to the hotel.I left my mobile in the room and she organised for it to be brought to the UK by another guest! The location is very quiet and restful so if you want loud music and noisy bars then this is not for you!!! But you will be missing out! Thank you Zdravka and all the staff for a wonderful week.

If you like your hotels clean then this is the place to go! We expected a hotel room but got an apartment with a double bed, small kitchen with a fridge, shower room and a sitting room. Rustica has 2 pools, and area for eating breakfast outside in summer and also indoor eating in cooler weather. Staff do everything to help and clearly want you to enjoy your holiday and it is done with sincerity. On some days during our breakfast we were given cakes and quiche for lunch which was a wonderful surprise because it is only a B&B ! On our last evening we were given a delicious complimentary evening meal complete with a jug of wine. This place is a 3 star but gives you kindness worthy of a 5 star luxury hotel. Seget Vranjica itself is a small fishing village with 4 restaurants, a lovely safe gravel beach lined with little trees to give some shade. The sea is crystal clear but don't forget your water shoes, it is a bit sore on bare feet. We walked to the local Unesco heritage town of Trogir. This is an easy walk along the beach path which took us 2 hours including a 30 minute stop at a hotel for refreshments. Trogir is really worth a visit, I won't tell you all about it, just go and be surprised! We were at Villa Rustica for 4 nights and recommend considering hiring a car if you are here for more than this. The airport is 15 minutes away. This place is perfect and we are unable to fault it, so much so, that I have joined Tripadvisor just to give our thoughts. I recommend this place for couples or families with young children but not for people with difficulty walking very far. If you are looking for loud music, boozy bars, clubs and nightlife this place is not for you. We came in June 2017 and the weather was hot but not unbearable and the village was quiet. Everything about this place is quite simply faultless.

Whe stayed at the apartment for 10 days. The day whe arrived whe got a great welcome. The information about the area was very helpfull. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, fried eggs and lovely coffee. Whe enjoyed the pool daily. And made trips from here to Trogir, Split, Sibenic and Hvar. There are nice restaurants close by in Vranjica but also in Trogir. Whe had a wonderfull time. The service was excellent.

Myself and my Husband recently stayed in Villa Rustica for a week 10th June this year we had a Brilliant stay and the staff were also Brilliant,The breakfast again yes Brilliant I would recommend this hotel without having to think about it. We stayed in room five beside the pool our room was spotless TV WiFi air conditioning The hotel is ten minutes from Split airport transfer can be organised by the hotel or by grabbing a taxis outside no shortest of them. The fare from the airport terminal is around 25 euros to Villa Rustica . The manager is called Zdravka she is fantastic nothing is of any bother to her she is well organised and will sort out any problem or query she is also a very witty person and always meets you with a big smile a lovely person as are all the staff. The location is perfect to travel around from if you have transport we hired a car from Nova car hire for three days again the hotel helped with the hiring of the car which we dropped off at the airport when departing for home. Trogir is well worth a visit and can be reached by the cheap public transport the downside the buses are hit and miss. Go visit and stay at Villa Rustica you will not be disappointed I promise you.

Our stay here was first class. Our room was small but very clean on ground floor at our request. It had an ensuite and air conditioning. We had a room at the back with a little terrace which was shaded and suited us perfectly. The manager was extremely helpful. She cooked for us on the last night and we had gorgeous fish and all the trimmings. Any minor issue was dealt with in record time. The breakfasts would please Homer Simpson! You just couldn't eat any more. The breakfast area was lovely and relaxed with a pool at the side. There are four restaurants in the area but I'm afraid we found one the first night and kept going back there. You can walk to Trogir. Takes under 2 hours and is beautiful. The scenery all around is amazing. There's a boat to Trogir in high season. Trogir is worth a visit or three. Buses are infrequent but the manager can sort out taxis which are more expensive but beats waiting on a busy road for a bus. Saved us booking car hire. Split is by boat or bus from Trogir and an amazing city. We went there three times. An amazing chilled holiday in May. Would definitely go back. Lots of fresh seafood and local produce. We came back feeling rested and healthy.
