We stayed here for 4 nights for graduation/family activities. Although the location was good, and was attractive from the outside, we were glad we really only needed a place to sleep. The room was very small and needed updating, with very little space even to put our belongings. It may have been okay for one person, but felt very cramped with two. The air conditioner was very loud. There were no outside areas to sit and relax. A light breakfast was provided and coffee and tea were always available and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Great property because of a great staff that takes care of building and guests! Thank you!

My room had a bed, TV with many channels, working shower and air unit and for the most part pretty clean. Couldn't ask for much more for the price. My experience here was a positive one.

From check in to the room and then the check out, everything was well done.

This hotel was clean with relatively-recently renovated rooms and comfortable beds. It features (very) basic continental breakfast, and microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms - however check carefully when booking because not all rooms have these amenities. While it offers free laundry as well, another definite bonus, during my entire stay the washer was broken at this particular hotel, which was a disappointment.

We had to be in the state overnight for a wedding. The staff was very friendly and ensured that we had everything that we needed to make this short trip the best. Room was clean inside.

Was very good. Close to all and very friendly helpful staff.

I enjoyed my (shortened) stay at this hotel. The Manager (Tammy) and her staff were very helpful and friendly. They allowed me to check in early after a long road trip with no problem. The lobby and eating area was quaint and welcoming. They even have a gym, which is an added bonus because I don't think most Microtels have this! Really great deal for the money.

My wife was having surgery at Carolina Eye early morning the 3rd of April so we chose to stay the night before at the Microtel. Staff was very helpful and pleasant and location was great for restaurants/shops. Thanks.

Good average Hotel. Have stayed in nicer, but for the price acceptable.

The room was very comfortable, the people were VERY friendly and helpful!! Would definately stay here again!!

Overall the room was dingy and unwelcoming. The TV was old and placed in an awkward position in the room. We also happened to be staying there during the Kid's World Golf Championship so there were kids constantly running up and down the halls all night.

great value. The room was clean and the location great

I will never stay at this hotel again. The hotel only provides, wafer thin, nasty little soaps, no shampoo. The towels, sheets and pillowcases were dirty. There were hairs on the bedsheets and in the bathtub from a previous guest. The room was poortly cleaned with dust and insect waste present around the perimeter areas that are never cleaned. After I checked in, the staff never looked me in the eye or asked me how I was or how my stay was during my two day visit. The room itself was tiny and felt like a closet. The bathroom had two cockroaches in it. The few tidbits of food options presented for "breakfast" were prepackaged, ultra cheap nastiness. The air conditioner was noisy, and cycled on and off all night.

I had reserved this for my handicapped sister and her daughter so they could be here for my wedding and they arrived and the room was not handicap the excuse was I had went through Orbiz's. We had to purchase a potty chair for her and she could only have a sponge bath--they never came and cleaned the room on Sat. So yes it was a mistake to reserve the Microtel. It was my 2 sisters and 2 nieces

This stay was a great value for the money. Room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was more comfortable than some of the higher end hotels. So why just 3 stars? The first room I was given the lights in the bathroom did not work, not just 1 light but all of the lights, not a big deal just changed rooms. The 2nd room I was switched to at about 3AM the all in one heat pump/AC unit started making a terrible plastic rattling noise which was hard to go back to sleep from. Had I stayed there another night I would have insisted on being changed to another room. Over all I thought the value was great for the money. The so called free breakfast was pretty disappointing, good thing McDonald's was a block away.

Good location..comfortable..however, wonder why we got a handicap room...

In Southern Pines for the Miss NC High School Pageant, hotel location was convenient to venue. Loved the inside corridors.

The hotel was very clean, and staff was friendly and efficient. I missed not having a fridge in the room, but it was nice to have fresh coffee and drinks in lobby 24-7. The hotel and room was spotless. Our no smoking room was actually a no smoking room. No traces of smoke in the room, like a lot of hotels I have stayed at. Would recommend this to everyone.

They put me in a handicap room that would have been appropriately arranged if I was in a wheelchair. The shower had no "lip" around it, so flooded the floor. Neither of the two ice machines worked. The free WiFi stole service from another location. My key had to constantly be reset. I left after 1 of my 3 nights.
