Our room was very small and the pool area didn't have enough seating. I had to stand the whole time, every time we went to the pool. We also didn't have anywhere to put our things! My siblings were sad because they are 14 and you have to be 16 to go into hot tub. One big disappointment was the fact that the waterfire tavern is a bar and closes at 10. The pool closes at 10 so after the pool we all got dressed and relatives came to visit and the plan was to get drinks and apps at the tavern, we went down to the tavern and it was closed. The family was very disappointed as we had a short visit with our relatives.

Walking distance to everything! Good food at restaurant. Pool is nice. Kids loved it.

The hotel was very nicely located within walking distance of Plymouth Harbor and many nice shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and had a lovely indoor pool for the children. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was in a great location, could walk to many restaurants and activities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice and quite cute. Location was good. There were a lot of children with parents. It may have been a result of families celebrating Christmas season. There is a large pool for enjoyment and restaurant attached to the hotel.

This is our fourth time at the John Carver Inn and every time it is a great time. The staff is so nice and the Hearth and Kettle restaurant is just the best right in the hotel. It is also only a block away from the main downtown shopping and sights.

Nice place to have a little getaway, lots of cool amenities but overall needs updating and expensive!

Just stayed one night but had lunch and dinner there. Nice pool and hot tub. Walk to most major sights except Plymouth Plantation. Walk to many restaurants. Recommend Shanty Rose for lobster. Not pretty but great food.

Nice location close to shopping and good food, nice hotel and very friendly staff. Nice pool for children and adults

Very well placed hotel for Plymouth area. Excellent facilities Room was clean and spacious. Absolutely no complaints.

Made me feel welcome and at home. Great staff, location and accomodations.

For the price I would expect much more. It seems a bit rundown. The bar theme seemed out of place with the quaint town. The bed was very comfortable. I found it offensive to have an envelope left looking for a tip in the room. The hotel material left in the room looked like they've been left there for years. I found no info on the local area which I always like to see when I visit an area. The good thing was that it was convenient to the town center and within walking distance to other attractions.

The John Carver Inn is located in downtown Plymouth. It's architecture fits right in with historicalness of Plymouth. The Hearth and Kettle restaurant, which is located in the hotel, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and their food is very good. They also have a good choice of items on the menu. They have a nice swimming pool, but often there are a number of youngsters swimming so it's not that relaxing. I would recommend the John Carver Inn to anyone who is traveling to Plymouth for business or pleasure.

Craving fresh air and sunshine, this hotel was within walking distance of historical sites and other amenities. Our stay was fine, beds clean & comfy, room spotless. Nothing more stressful than channel guide on the TV wasn't listing anything.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The provided wonderful advise, and helped when I locked myself out of the room. The hotel was great for walking about Plymouth and viewing the historic sites, and it was only a short walk to the pier to catching the Ferry to P.Town. I would highly recommend staying there.

I rented a hotel room at the John Carver Inn for New Years Eve & had a wonderful time. I loved the large pool with its hot tub & water slide. Though I'm not sure why there is a camera in the pool room showing footage of swimmers at the check in desk? I loved the hotel room and really enjoyed the fuel cell fireplace. It was quick and easy. The location was perfect & we were able to walk anywhere within 10 minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Plymouth area.

I usually stay someplace else in town but JCI had the only vacancy on this trip. The staff was warm, courteous and helpful....everyone I encountered from any department. What a delight. The room (a deluxe) was spacious with the comfiest beds ever! Add ameninties including hairdryer, iron & board, toiletries and free HBO and you know JCI is out to please. And they do! Their hospitality is the finest I've encountered in Plymouth, and I visit 3-5 times a year. The low rates were another pleasant surprise. The location is ideal-on the edge of downtown and in walking distance of most attractions. Another plus is the on-site restaurant with a wide variety of delicious dining choices and the nicest staff I have ever met. John Carver Inn boasts a very cool pirate themed pool, a spa, a gift shop and seasonal entertainment. What more could a person ask for? I most certainly recommend this hotel. And plan to make it my new home away from home in Plymouth!

We arrived at noon and were allowed to check in early which was a wonderful surprise ! Historic sites are easily accessible. We booked our first parent/child (daughter age 10) back, shoulders, neck massage for 30 minutes. It was perfect.

The room was nice and clean with new carpet, however it was also somewhat musty and damp. The internet signal was adequate, but not particularly strong. The location was handy to most of the area's sites.

We (me, hubby and children 4 and 6yrs olds)stayed 4 nights. The hotel is nice and in a great location but it is showing some wear. The room was a little small but it worked. I wish the room had a refrigerator, that would have been convenient with the kids. There wasn't a "kiddie pool" for my 4 yr old but my 6 yr old LOVED the ship and slide at the pool. The hotel restaurant was convenient and served pretty good food. The staff was always pleasant and helpful.
