ok for a short stay great location, close to the town centre and all major routes friendly staff fantastic view from the room, shame the balcony cant be used though food was very yummy just a shame it was soo busy
The restaurant was of a high quality. Service was very good and food really lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is in easy reach of the racecourse The bedroom could be updated to improve comfort
Stayed on 2 night break in executive room. The room was excellent. Very close to Doncaster Racecourse , which was main purpose of the visit. Food in restaurant was good but in the evening both nights spoilt by the noise form the function room above.
Lovely place to stay. Lovely art deco infact it looks like American horror show. The bar maid is amazing lovely and jolly. Her name was Shannon. She was amazing met every need. The rooms are spacious and lovely decoration.
I had no problems with anything and staff were very helpful and informative with anything that was needed. Would recommend to anyone who needed to stay in Doncaster as it is close to the town and anything else you need.
I stayed for one night as I was working in the area. The reception and receptionist were very welcoming. All the staff were helpful and smiling. The food that I ordered was of the highest standard. I will stop there again if working in the area but would definitely consider the Earl of Doncaster if in Doncaster with the family.
An individual hotel, with great staff that are welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. You couldn't lay your head in a better place ! Located close to town centre that has lots of bars and restaurants. Local to Doncaster race course if you fancy a flutter.
Very good hotel and value for money - Only note is that with most hotels I think the food could be of a higher standard The rooms are very nice and clean and the staff are very welcoming attentive and friendly
I'd never been up to Doncaster before, I was up for a training weekend for a volunteer program. When I arrived at the Hotel the receptionist Diane, she was lovely and friendly, very well presented and very kind, she upgraded me to an executive room! I had reached the hotel by a station taxi, be warned do not give out your phone number, the hotel can book you taxis! I got a disturbing call from mine but the hotel responded really well to this incident! The night team were very calm and helped me to the best of their ability with this situation and I'm very grateful. The breakfast in the morning was awesome I wasn't hungry enough after the bowl of cereal and pastries to have a full English so I opted for mackerel and poached egg, came in good time and was delicious. I loved that on the tea tray they have in the room they have hot chocolate, for a person who doesn't drink tea or coffee this was an added treat I don't normally expect. The toiletries were The White Company which is the same brand we use at the hotel I work reception at in Newbury. Love the product so was very happy to see this. All in all this hotel even with a shocking experience at the start (no fault at all of the hotel) was a brilliant place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for having me Earl of Doncaster. It set me up for my weekend perfectly!
An excellent stay at the Earl which was made by the outstanding attitude of the staff. I have stayed in a lot of hotels that would consider themselves up market from this hotel but all of them could learn something from the people working here. From the lady on reception who was first class, to the lady at breakfast for whom nothing was too much trouble, despite us being late on the Sunday morning, through to Sarah (with an H) who was personal and funny and made our evening with her incredible G&Ts, everyone was consistently excellent and are the reason why we will definitely return. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.
