Had a 5 night stay with two rooms, one accessible. Staying in Sheffield as our grandson was competing at the Special Olympics Nation Games. On arrival good parking especially for disabled badge. Welcomed by James who was very helpful and even took us to our accessible room and showed us the emergency cords. Staff very cheerful and helpful and everywhere spotless. Position of hotel good for city centre although excellent taxi service. Very quiet area so had a good sleep. If in the area would return again.
Stayed here one night watching our son compete in the Special Olympics. Car parking on site at £5 a night very handy. Staff very cheerful and helpful giving tips on where to eat and drink. Town centre easy 10-15 minutes stroll. Rooms very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Ate out but coming back some of the food didn't look very appetising. Breakfast pretty good with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Booked a room with double bed through Hotels.Com. On arrival, staff were pleasant and efficient however we're going to charge us more than what we had booked through hotels.com (£40 more). When shown the booking on the app did amend the price without much hassle. When we went up to our room we were confronted with two (small) single beds. Called down to reception and we're told that the hotel was fully booked and that wee would have to "take it up with hotels.com". No amendment or solution was forthcoming. The hotel was pleasant, and fine for a few nights stay. The lobby is small but clean and welcoming. The parking is a bit haphazard and costs £5 per night but is on street. There is a small car park. It usually full. The restaurant food was very good and very reasonably priced and the person dealing with us (James) was excellent and friendly. The breakfast was also good however we watched people just walk in and help themselves to the buffet breakfast. Some loss control missing there I would say. Generally a nice hotel but disappointing that the errors happened and that we ended up with two rather small (but very comfy) beds as opposed to the double bed paid for.
Double room clean and quiet. Bed very comfortable and I liked having a choice of pillows. Very good bathroom, chic and spotless with very good shower. Towels excellent. Free parking for hotel guests, Included cooked breakfast with modest selection added to the very good value of this city centre hotel. Recommended.
We chose to stay at this hotel due to normal staying at the Holiday inn over the road. A great welcome from the staff and they were all lovely. We stayed in a double room and family room and all that stayed said how lovely the rooms were. Great experience and will definitely be staying again and choosing this one over the Holiday inn again. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in an express chain. Great variety and produce was good. I do feel that even the express chains should offer water for IHG members. Would be a great touch. Lovely staff and feel to the hotel. 👍
Stay here on a regular basis when I visit sheffield. It is a nice hotel but the breakfast although they have upgraded a little and added bacon on the menu I just couldn't eat it it tasted off so I'm not sure what bacon it is or how they cook it but it's just not to my taste I'm afraid. Apart from that it is a nice hotel in a convenient location so I would stay here again
2 weeks stay for swimming at Ponds Forge. Hotel is in a brilliant location. Staff are friendly, especially Sophie, Beth, Chris & James. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was spot on and the new evening menu is great (tried virtually everything!). Rooms are spacious and clean. Looking forward to staying again soon.
Only stayed 1 night to attend a wedding but room was lovely and clean, staff extremely helpful have stayed numerous times at various Holiday Inn Express and this was the first time my husband has been offered both gluten free cereal and bread at breakfast, much appreciated
Stayed here last weekend in July, despite being very busy the room was quiet and the breakfast good. Staff friendly and room very well maintained. The free WiFi could do with a boost and the car park fee hefty on top of the room and breakfast
Late booked room. Arrived to friendly staff and helpful. Bar is perfect for a couple of drinks. Rooms are nice. Simple and functional. It's as good as the bigger brother up the road bit better value for money. See you in October
