Having pre booked for a party of 5, 3weeks prior to the occasion and confirmed the booking the day before I was very disappointed to discover that they were only expecting 2 of us. As a result it was obvious that the bread for the sandwiches had been defrosted in the microwave and was hard. The cakes for the lactose free diet were disappointing, shop bought availability in most supermarkets. I was annoyed to discover that parking charges to cover the afternoon amounted to £3.40. The staff were extremely attentive, but overall a disappointing meal to celebrate a special occasion,

Really enjoyed our visit to Swansea as we used to live here 23 years ago! The Marriott is set in a very good location as it sits on the edge of the marina and the beachfront Room views vary , higher floors better view Superior rooms seem to face the marina while standard rooms have better sea views, but all depends on floor level! We opted to upgrade to a superior room as it was a bigger room with a larger bed against a standard double! The only room available was on level 1 and our marina view was obstructed by trees & lashing rain! But we spent little time in room! Great WiFi Fab breakfast everything you can possibly want Ate in restaurant one night with friends it was a great meal no complaints at all Staff very attentive and friendly especially reception Room chamber maid was very helpful and attentive and had a lovely pleasant personality! Definitely recommend

The Marriott hotel in Swansea is very convenient to walk within the town centre. It served my purpose well. I enjoyed my stay and my room. The service was good and can't really complaint about anything. The only minus was, when I entered then hotel, the first thing I got asked was if I had a car, not good afternoon. Anyway staff were professional enough. I live just outside swansea and definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights B&B 5-8 October. Was a little hesitant booking as some visitors seem to have had a mixed experience. No need to worry, Hotel is fine and the staff are outstanding. Room was clean and quiet, well appointed, usual tea and coffee but incl a Nespresso machine. TV great. Aircon a bit noisy but you can turn it off at night. Only downsides was scrappy looking old, none working, fridge (replace it or take it out) and you can't open a window. Check in was very good, extremely helpful and friendly. Indeed all the staff were great, reception, breakfast room, cook, the cleaners. Very chatty and efficient with it. Breakfast itself was also very good. Full choice of cooked with eggs done to order and good range of cold meats, cheese, fish, yoghurts, cereals etc etc. It was mad busy but all was very efficient, no rush but tables cleared and reset very quickly, Tea and Coffee produced straightaway. All excellent. Did not use the restaurant on an evening. Car park is big and location of hotel is central, easy to walk into town. Plenty of places to eat, recommend going down to Mumbles where there are loads of cafes and restaurants. A big gap was the total absence of any information about the local area. Very little in room on the hotel and not a leaflet in sight anywhere on Swansea, Gower, or Mumbles. Nothing, big fail for visitors. Overall this is a good hotel with fantastic staff across the board.

Although having business meetings in Newport it was well worth the extra miles to stay in a very good hotel with excellent accommodation. Check-in was simple yet professional with ample parking right outside the main entrance to the hotel. Great experience in the bar chilling after a long day and the dinner experience for myself and a colleague was very pleasant with excellent service and food. With a great night's sleep listening to the waves in the harbour and a good breakfast experience i would not hesitate to recommend.

A great location and place from which to explore Swansea and South Wales. Good service and excellent friendly staff. The bar and food were also very good. Perfect location between the beach, the marina and the town.

Service and comfort in this modern hotel! From Sam in reception to room service from Nigel, the staff performed admirably. We were upgraded to a corner room which was spacious and light. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. What more could you ask for?

The hotel is well situated on the coast next to the marina. Check in was efficient but the rooms are a little tired and a little small I feel but the location is fantastic ans vwry close to the sea and the town centre. The bar is nice if a little pricey. Breakfast was very good

Great hotel, really nice team members and good restaurant for breakfast. Tower next door has a nice cocktail bar with a brilliant view. Highly recommend. Nice harbour area with plenty of bars. Easy to get to.

Stayed here on Friday and Saturday nights with my family. The hotel is in a great location, right next to the marina and beach (our room had views of both) as well as close to Swansea town, Mumbles and other amenities. The best thing about our stay was definitely the staff and the service they provided. Check-in was very welcoming and a nice touch was vouchers for our two children to have fresh cookies and milk in the evening from room service, which they loved! The bar staff were very friendly and when my wife discovered what looked like a bug in her wine they replaced it with a fresh glass without hesitation, When we returned to our room mid afternoon on Saturday we discovered that the two rooms next to ours were occupied by a hen party - not ideal for a peaceful family get away! After an hour or so of relentless noise I had to complain. Gemma at reception was amazing. She was very apologetic and genuinely concerned. Without hesitation she arranged for us to move room to another floor and then came up with a colleague to check we were alright and offered to help us move. Thanks for making our stay Gemma!
