Dirty Not maintained Rooms with cigarette smell Toilette broke No cleaning service One elevator in service only

Absolutely terrible. The front end representatives made comments as if this was a motel for hookers and pimps. Within 2 minutes of getting into our room, my boyfriend was styck in the bathroom. We tried for 30 minutes to get him out I think called the front desk and no one came. I waited about 15-20 minutes and called back. Go ally someone came empty handed and kicked the door down. The phone did not have buttons, the room was gross.

My friend was in town for a concert and my air conditioner broke so I rented a hotel room for us to sleep. Staff was nice. Place could use some updating esp with the elevators. Otherwise just fine for what we needed.

It's was gross, there and blood dropped all over the dark musty stairs that you have to use because the elevators in this hotel refuse to work. House keeping is non existent. I stayed 3 days and not one single day did they clean. Even after asking several times to have the room cleaned. There was mold on the ceilings, and rust in the bathrooms. A tv that had 30 channels but only 6 actually viewable. Outlets were gross and wouldn't hold anything. Towels in the bathroom were too small for me 5'10 190lbs. The sheets were still stained from the guests before, and the view is either great (sports complex) or it's garbage, dirty parking lot that makes you walk 1/2 a mile to the actual hotel

The Penrose Hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My floor and room stunk like cigarettes. The room lights did not work. The TV had no remote. The bed had no blanket. The walls are paper thin. The bathroom had no shampoo. Never again!!

We thought this would be a good place to stay because it looked nice in the pictures; however, we were place in a room with cigarette smell. Our room was changed. The room was dusty, bed wasn't conformable, there was a single slow elavator running, and the breakfast offered was cold, there was cream cheese so old that it was rotten. We didn't have a good experience there.

The pictures do not match what you actually get. You have to pay to park on the premises and the lot is sketchy. The desk staff was rude. The elevators were barely in service and felt like a safety risk. Some of the floors are completely torn up. The pool looks like a scene out of a scary movie. The sheets were dirty. All around a crappy hotel.

no hospitality management skills, A PLACE to only sleep

I picked this hotel because it was very close to the Philadelphia airport. That was about the only thing this hotel had in its favor. The hotel in general was in poor condition, only one functional elevator for 15 floors, the overall condition was just poor, no refrigerator or even microwave in the room. For 15 floors there were only two ice machines in the hotel. In my room, the floor felt sticky, there was water damage on the ceiling, and exposed screws here and there just made it feel like it was run down and poorly maintained. In addition, they charge $10/day to park a car. I felt this place was wildly overpriced for the condition. I would have much preferred a Motel 6 to this. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Nice room but elevator was broken when I initially tried to check in and so I left my luggage near the front desk in a somewhat secure room. Came back a few hours later and was located 2 or 3 floors above the front desk so first had to go up a staircase and then up two floors via stairs to get to my room. No refrigerator so I had to throw away some leftovers from Tony Luke's sandwich restaurant. Also had to turn on air conditioning to get rid of a strong smell, perhaps mildew. Hotel was close to the Spectrum where I was going to see a concert and at no time did I feel unsafe.

Elevator is every old and slow and it is not save to use. We stayed for two nights and the room had not been cleaned, no fresh tower replacement. All they can say is , we are sorry.

While the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel itself needs some help. Besides being outdated and run down, the room itself was filthy. Bathroom was moldy, the entire room reeked intensely of bleach, and where the carpet meets the wall were filled with visible dirt. We couldn't sleep there.

We got there and the elevators were broke. They had put us on the 10th floor. Just to find the staircase was hard nothing was labeled. The room is due for a major upgrade, patched holes in bathroom, the plugs almost falling out of the wall, and had a odd smell. The staff kept playing around with each other not really paying attention to the guest and on their phones.

This hotel tried to put my out a day early and refused to give me my service the rest of my stay. Plus we found some bed bugs during out stay and the room had a bad smell.

Friendly workers and very helpful !!!! The area was great for my needs and not far from the local sports evens as well as downtown attractions!!!

Needed a update very bad. Walls thin not a great part of town

When you get the hotel you cables running down the side of the hotel. The pool looks like it will never open. There is a pile rusted chairs and other metal objects in a corner of the pool area. When you walk into the hotel you see carpet torn up and it looks like there is water damage everywhere. Some of the hotel staff is less then friendly. I was told by one check-in person that the other lady will help me. When I went over to her she told me to wait my turn & she will help me in a few minutes. A guest walked in from outside and asked for a parking form, and she proceeded to help him. I step back to the counter and said I was here 1st. She replied with I can see you and you need to wait. Later on during my check-in 2 guests wanted to switch rooms. 1 guest wanted a King bed and the other guest had 2 twin beds. The guests said they were happy with the switch. She said no and the manager wouldn't allow it. When I went up to the room, the bathroom door would not shut. The tub was rusted & calk around the rusted parts of the drain and handle. When you went to wash your hands the faucet base would move and you felt like it would fall off and water would be spraying all over the place. The hotel wifi would not allow you to join whenever you tried to connect. it just kept saying not able to connect. It would never display a landing page. The hotels web site said there is free parking. However they charge $10 a day. Lights were out on the stairwell

The hotel was dingy, outdated and the room was equally terrible. We stayed out of sheer exhaustion. The bathroom shower was moldy, and badly in need of renovation. My husband woke up in the middle of the night covered in bites, so we think there were bedbugs. (We stayed on the 14th floor.) We left immediately. This entire hotel is in need of a demo & full remodel. The staff was slow, tired and unkempt. We'll never go back to this hotel.

They charged $10 for parking and held $100 for deposit... They should tell customers this things in fine print.....

When I arrived in the evening, after driving 10 hours from Ohio, the room was not ready. no towels , air condition was off. The room was hot. took 2 hours on high to cool the room. After the second night NO room service. No new towels. Was glad to leave after three nights. Breakfast in the morning 7 - 10 , started at 8 or later.
