Holiday Inn Brno4.5 out of 5.0

Restaurants closed. Only dining option "The Congress Hall" next door. It is what it sounds like. Have these guys really joined the West? I'm informed that the food is very poor. 'School dinners' layout for breakfast. Long tables with rows of cutlery. Very limited drinks in the 'bar' which is the only place to eat in the evening. Going out on my own for dinner isn't much fun. Not looking forward to breakfast. Rooms ok. Staff pleasant but defensive as well they should be. It may be a temporary situation but WHY DON'T HOTELS TELL YOU WHEN BOOKING THAT FACILITIES ARE LIMITED? Take my advice and check (Czech?) before you book.
I stayed there for an offsite with over 150 of my corporate colleagues. The rooms were as spacious as they could be and with all amenities. They had a Queen size bed and a sofa-cum-bed, a huge LED TV, a large writing table, and even an elaborate mini bar. The bathroom too was decent size and had a bath tub. So, basically this was the most luxurious of all the Holiday Inn hotels I have ever stayed in so far. The lobby was warm and welcoming and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast spread was decent and had quite a variety. We did enjoy some evening snacks but I being a vegetarian had close to zero options but I guess that had more to do with the menu selected by the offsite organizers rather than the staff and the hotel service. It was a very comfortable stay.
Nice hotel, to Holiday Inn standards. Very pleasant reception staff, and upper-floor room was clean and spacious. Breakfast more than adequate, as was the restaurant. Probably a little expensive for Brno but we enjoyed our stay.
The HI Brno is located about 15 minutes by tram and bus from the centre of town. Take tram 1 then bus 84. Our room was large and well equipped and had the facilities you would expect of four-star hotel. We were staying on IHG points, so our rate didn't include breakfast. There is nothing near the hotel except a service station, but you can get drinks and snacks there.
This hotel is beautiful, from the front lobby, all the amenities and, of course, our room! With a free shuttle to the city center you can't beat this place! This is definitely the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at!
Really great hotel, located around 20 mins walk from the centre, nice rooms, very clean, great service at the front desk. There are restaurants within 10 mins walk and public transport is available nearby. An Uber into the centre is around £2 so we used it all the time. Really nice place.
Stayed in an executive room at the hotel for 3 weeks during a work assignment and room was spotless and the hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel food via Room service or bar area was good and the bespoke restaurant is very good and definitely worth a visit. Plenty of options for Breakfast in the mornings to suit everybody. The hotel is slightly away from the centre of Brno but it is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. As a Holiday Inn you know the standard to expect and this hotel meets and exceeds that standard. When in the area again I will return.
Back after 2 years, place remain very well maintained and service offered of a high good level. Rooms big well furnished and clean. Breakfast offers a huge variety of all you can get interest on your morning meal. Food at bar is fast and good; very affordable prices .. Recommend..
The hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere. It is only close to the expo halls. Rooms are decent, nothing special but do not give an old look. WiFi is very good (much better than it used to be). Breakfast is simple, not a lot of choice.
The first time I stayed in this hotel was in 2000. That time it used to be the first address in Brno. After many years I came back in 2017 and it seems to me that nothing changed. Even the breakfast buffet looks the same. Now it's not the best hotel, locally anymore. But, it's still good and the price is reasonable. Nothing to claim.
