There is still a flair of the good old days in this hotel. Arrived by bus and just needed to cross the road. Very warm welcome from the receptionist. Room very huge and with a bathtub - fantastic! Breakfast was served in a very stylish room. Just few metres to the city centre. Very reasonable price per night.

If you are looking to explore Brno's city center this is an excellent place to stay. Hotel is not the most modern but I enjoyed my stay. I stayed at one of the executive rooms which are huge. Free and fast internet was provided. Breakfast was good too. All and all a good stay especially taking into consideration the price. I'd stay here again.

Opposite the main train station and Flix bus stop, if travelling from Prague it’s really convenient. The hotels breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in Europe for a reasonable price and that’s for Australian’s (quite a lot of hotels do more European style breakfasts, this buffet had something for everyone!). The rooms were older styled but very comfortable. We slept with the windows open to let in a cool breeze at night and found some of locals are party animals, and noisy in the early hours of morning but we did stay Thursday through to Sunday. Would definitely recommend this hotel and loved its walking distance to most things.

We stayed for 2 nights in mid May. The hotel is in an excellent location opposite the Railway and Bus stations (we were travelling by train). There are shops, bars and restaurants very close by and the old town is about a ten minute stroll away. Our room was a decent size with plenty of storage space, comfortable bed and nice bathroom (had a bath with a shower fitting over). It was tastefully furnished. The only real drawback for us was the fact that the curtains were not lined and the room was pretty much in daylight at 5.30am. We were on the second floor at the front of the hotel and my wife could hear some tram noise, it didn't affect me (one of the few benefits of going deaf). The buffet breakfast was very good offering a mixture of hot and cold fodder. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. We actually ate in the hotel bar on the first night (not the restaurant) and enjoyed the meal. The cost was comparable with other bars/cafes nearby including the drinks. The old town together with most of the attractions was within easy walking distance. The tourist information office is just off of the Vegetable Market Square (10 minutes from the hotel) and a cafe on the corner of that square has an excellent range of reasonably priced cakes.

Long distance bus stop is right across the road. Friendly staff, big room, comfy bed. Very short walk to Old Town square, shops, restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if i ever came back to Brno.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visting Brno.Staff were very friendly,in particular Vera. The room was old fashioned but very nice and clean.Breakfast was good...served buffet style. The location was also excellent. The only draw back was our room was overlooking the back and the bin collection was between 4 and 5am and we were also near the delivery area and the cargo lift so we didnt get much sleep.Having said that we did enjoy our time here and even used the little gym.

I stayed in Grand Hotel Brno ,last April for 6 nights . The location is excellent . In the city centre ,few meters from Main Railway Station and across the rood to the international Bus Station . The room and the bathroom were very spacious . Though it is an old hotel but it is maintained and very clean , The staff are helpful and friendly and speek English . The breakfast was great ,with many different choices . and the team seving there are very kind . I was very satisfied during my stay , the service was excellent with a big smile . I would like to convey a special thanks to Mrs. Vera at the reception desk for her great welcoming and help in everything we asked . I do recommend this Hotel for any visitor to Brno . I

This very much former ‘Grand’ Hotel is sadly lacking in many areas. Beds , old and uncomfortable. Bathrooms are so small a phone box is larger. Breakfast ~ well this is very poor indeed in its offering. A total revamp is well overdue. Its location opposite the Train station is most handy. The front office staff are great.

Very 1970s and not in a good way. Could use an update. Beds uncomfortable. Noisy from street, esp with windows open cause no air conditioning. Shower head broken, spewing water all over bathroom. Toilet doesn’t flush. Front desk staff not so friendly. No coffee maker. Does have a room safe and fridge, although some of my companions said theirs weren’t working properly. Place is in disrepair.

Very good location, the rooms are big enough and tidy. The staff is alright. Breakfast is ok. (Here’s some space to improve.) As a summary i would recommend it to anyone who’s visiting Brno. In addition parking is easy and close. (But a bit expensive.)
