It was ok. Nothing special but room was nice and smelled nice. Bathroom looked ok but needs serious updating. Light came in above door in big glass area. Didn't like that

Booked this hotel because it was one of the cheaper ones closest to Gingerman Raceway. I booked a non-smoking room, and the room smelled like it was full of people smoking cigarettes. The towels were dirty and the sink in the bathroom didn't drain properly so you had to wait like ten minutes for the water to go down. The staff consisting of a couple (husband and wife) was ok, but the main office was closed in the early morning while I was trying to check out. I had to leave without checking out because the office was not staffed and the door was locked.

If WiFi is important to you, don't stay here.We notified the front desk the hour we checked in that it was not working, were told that he would see what he could do about it, but it never worked the whole weekend. I booked two rooms two m months in advance and when our second party arrived their were told they werevery lucky that there had been a cancellation because the manager had overbooked and had planned to put us all in one room if no one cancelled. However, having booked ordinary rooms, we were pleasantly surprised to have adjoining Jacuzzi suites. The decor is outdated and there are holes in the walls everywhere that need repair, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. TV stations are limited, some had very poor reception.

outdated with need for a paint job and bathroom remodel - location is good - bedspread had burn holes - seems like several people live here

Spent several days here, and the recent renovations have made the place quite comfortable.

Cheapest place in South Haven. On a shopping trip so we didn't spend too much time in the room, but everything was satisfactory. Next time we'll try out the pool. Clean room and comfortable beds. Minor blemishes on walls.

This is an older hotel. Our room looks like it had been painted and maybe had newer carpet. The floors sound like they had a crawl space under them. I think they may have been some type of modular units. King bed was hard, not much padding on the mattress. If you are just looking for someplace to sleep, go for it. Otherwise you can find something nicer.

The place has seen better days but it's a good deal for thr price. It could use some fixing up.

It was the right price on a holiday weekend and close to town. The staff wasn't super friendly.

The hotel is an old hotel but has tried to upgrade the rooms the best they can. You are not going to get anything fancy here. If you are not looking for fancy but just a place to sleep this is the location. The prices are great and the location is close enough at the end of the day. Everything is a drive away...nothing is walking distance.

For a cheap hotel this was really good. I will go going back again later this year, too. I see reviews here and other site that don't accurately reflect recent upgrades. My room had new carpet, fresh paint, new remote controlled A/C. You don't even see A/C with a remote in high end hotels. Microwave and fridge were clean. Bed was good and I got a really good night's sleep. For under $70 a night, this is one of the better rooms I've seen. No bugs dead or alive. Across the parking, I could see renovation in other rooms, including new windows recently installed Vending machine area was getting new flooring. I go to Gingerman racetrack and will be staying here again.

Room itself was clean, but you need to overlook the cosmetic repairs that are sorely needed. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room except to sleep, so it worked out fine for us.

The staff was nice. The hotel is just old & not very clean.

Room was dirty. Dead cricketts laying on the floor just inside the room door for 3 days, cobwebs with dead bugs in corners of main room and bathroom. The carpet and tile floors were very dirty and sticky, we wore our shoes any time we had to walk around. I wore plastic beach shoes in the shower. Filthy window, sill coated with cobwebs and dead bugs. Sticky night stands, desk and TV cabinet. Main room had so little lighting was unable to read. Floor and bottom of toilet had old urine from previous guests that was never cleaned up. It wasn't stains it was actual urine. The tub/shower walls had previous guests hair stuck to them and the shower curtain was black with mildew and scum. The shower faucet was only half there making it really hard to turn on and off. Old tooth paste was on the front of the sink cabinet. The Staff used air freshner to try to cover up the mildew smell. It was real strong. Not sure which was worse the strong smell of orange freshner or the mildew. All in all if we would have seen the room prior to payment we never would have stayed there. We use Orbitz a lot when we travel but they really missed the mark with this motel.

This room was clean and fine to stay in. Furniture and decor are kind of old, but comfortable and did the trick. I would stay here again.

Needed a place to spend the night on the way home from vacation. This place was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. It is not a fancy place, but plenty good enough. I'd stay here again.

We only stayed the night. The room was clean although the motel was an older style.

very comfortable, just there for the wedding,

We wanted a place that would allow 1 night stays on a weekend - all the others have 2 night minimum - we needed a mini/affordable get-away and wanted to be in S Haven/Saugatuck area. This place was clean, but older motel. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Nice pool, 5 -10 min. from the beach and downtown S Haven, 20 min from Sautaguck, and less than $100 - it was perfect for us.

After reading the other review I had prepared myself for a run down motel. Which it was. The price was certainly right and if you don't care about it being run down and not spending a lot of time in your room then that's okay. The sheets were clean and the towels were very white and soft. We didn't get to visit the pool because of the rain. I could list things wrong with this place a mile long honestly. But, the people were very friendly and accomodating. Just remember you get what you pay for. There are a few other chain hotels close by if you choose not to take the risk.
