Stayed in room 201 for 3 nights Very large and roomy with a view to the castle Breakfast was fresh and included everything one could want Perfect location, right on the river and 1 minute walk to all the attractions

We had an upgraded room which was on the first floor and was quite large. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. You can't beat the the shadow of the castle and at the start of old town. Because this is a pedestrian only zone, the receptionist ordered a taxi to move our suitcases from the parking lot to the hotel at the hotel's expense, a nice touch. We ate traditional Czech food at their more than capable restaurant for both nights of our visit. Since my wife and I have a Slavic background, we know good local good and this was it. Waiter became our friend. Great service.

Very Nice Stay..!! Choosing a Hotel, for me was all about Location / View. I reserved 6 months in advance, direct w/ hotel, requesting castle / river view, and got it. And.. Staying more than 1-2 nights most likely helped secure an A-1 view room. Room 201, at river-front, full castle view, corner room, was great. Very Large, Spacious Room, with small sofa, 2 arm chairs, table, and 2 view windows. Entry room with good sized closet, short wood storage bench, and padded bench, for sitting in front of small makeup table... As well as another view window. Very large Bathroom, with corner tub, with shower... No curtain, but we tried to be careful, not to get the floor too wet. Double sink, and private toilet area. Breakfast was very good, offering eggs, 1-2 types, changing daily, along with heated sliced local bacon, and 1-2 types of sausages. 2 different coffee makers, offering selected coffees, including cappuccino. Good selection of breads, rolls, fresh fruit, little cakes or cookie-like local sweets. And More... Over 4 mornings, the 2 lead women working the breakfast were welcoming, and kept all very stocked up till 10 am. Decor in hotel is pleasantly dated, but all was very clean, and comfortable. Lighting was good to adequate. Arriving about 8 on a Saturday night, we soon headed to the downstairs Restaurant. We were promptly hustled out, as I believe we'd entered a private party. Menu Food is served in bar area, but seating was not available. We went elsewhere, so can't speak for dining there. Overall, at least in October, hotel was quiet at night, too chilly for people dining or drinking at the large groupings of riverside tables.. However, the wood bridge just outside the hotel's entry, rumbles like Thunder, when a car crosses.. However, car / vehicle traffic is ''very'' limited.. It took me a couple days to Not Think it was Thunder. Slept really well. Daytime, there is often a musician of some type, singing or playing at the bridge, which was delightful, and often changing. Checking out, we left luggage near front desk, which was a bit too exposed for comfort. But with nice lady at front desk assuring us it was safe, and it was... Thought is, over a 5 hour span, she'd have to leave the desk at least a couple times. This is a very nice hotel, and we'd definitely use it again. HINT... TRANSPORTATION TO FROM CESKY KRUMLOV, FROM PRAGUE / VIENNA, HALLSTAT, AND MORE... CHECK OUT '''CK SHUTTLES''' FOR DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE. We heard horror stories about car rentals, and navigating, plus parking is quite far, and somewhat limited. iashutterbug

We stayed at the Hotel Dvorak for two nights on a vacation tour of the Czech Republic. Although the hotel is very hard to get to by car because it is located in the old city center, it is worth it! The location is at the heart of the old city center and everything is in walking distance. We loved having the river outside our window and the views of the castle were spectacular. The rooms were large and comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh fruit that was left for us. There is no air conditioning but we left the window open which cooled the room off at night, and we enjoyed hearing the sound of the river. The bridge over the river is right outside the hotel and vehicle traffic made noise going over the bridge but it didn't bother us much or ruin our stay. We wished the kitchen stayed open a little later--we missed dinner at the hotel. The parking lot for the hotel is an 8-10 minute walk from the hotel. We had to navigate through the pedestrian traffic, check in and drop off luggage, go park the car, then walk back to the hotel. Certainly not convenient, but the location of the hotel and views were worth the inconvenience!

Wonderful hotel in great location. We stayed on the top floor and had an outside patio that provided an amazing view of the castle, river and town. Helpful staff and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast as well.

Our room was very nice and very spacious. The bathroom was amazing. It was clean with wonderful view of the river. The location is the best in the city. We stayed two nights. The restaurant downstairs and on the other side of the river were very good. The lady at the desk spoke perfect English. We just walked and enjoyed everything.

Stayed in a very large room, nicely decorated and very clean. Good breakfast (8 of 10 points max scale). Hotel location is great directly on the Vltava, enjoying beautiful panoramic views. it is a pity that on more than one event we were served by some(not all)rude waiters during dinner. They hold a computer by their front desk for their guests benefit. How ever, on my first day there mouse did not respond. When I asked front desk for help ,they agreed that the computer is useless and claimed that they cannot help because they do not understand in computers. I suggested that if there is a computer there it should work, but until my checking out they did not bother to call a professional to fix it. In order to reach the hotel they had provided me with a confusing instructions. They tell you to put on the gps the address Latran , than crossing the bridge directly to the hotel. Unfortunately as Latran 1 is within the pedestrian area the Germain GPS of our rented car went almost crazy. Sorry but the people there show a sloppy attitude. If they would have just checked if their instructions work, that easily, thet would have changed the instructions to be for example Latran 81 which is out and just before entering the pedestrian zone. Their misleading instructions caused us in a lot of waste of time-should not happen

Perfect central location for visiting this medieval town. The rooms are ample but not fancy, but each room has a view. Make sure you ask to overlook the river from your room. No air conditioning in the room but they will provide a fan. Breakfasts are very satisfying and plentiful. Really helpful staff. Very much enhanced our stay, this lovely hotel!!!

Good hotel in a great location on the river and next to the popular bridge between the town square and castle. Easy walking to all the attractions and restaurants. Our room was on the first floor at the back of the hotel with very good views of the castle, bridge and upstream river from windows on two walls. The accommodation was very spacious with a large bathroom, dressing room and large bedroom with couch and sitting chairs. Although the hotel is showing some age the accommodation is comfortable and clean. The breakfast has a good selection of quality food. Friendly staff make for an enjoyable stay.

While in Cesky Krumlov we had a very pleasant and relaxing late lunch on the terrace at Hotel Dvorak. The food was tasty (potato pancakes and salad - just what we felt like eating) - but what made it special for us was our pleasant and courteous waiter, Peter. He spoke very good English, was polite and helpful and as it was a quieter time of day, he was able to answer some questions we had about Cesky Krumlov and the hotel. Our experience actually made us want to stay at Hotel Dvorak if we return another time. Had we not been leaving for Australia the following day we would have returned to Hotel Dvorak for another meal. We shall certainly tell our friends about the hotel and restaurant. Thank you Peter!
