We stayed here in December and it was a cold evening when we arrived. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop. We were greeted warmly and welcomed to the hotel. The location is the absolute best. You are next to the river with gorgeous views. We woke up to a beautiful view of the river and town. The main square is 2 minutes away and the castle is about 5 minutes away. Breakfast was really delicious. I wish we didn't have to leave so early on the second morning so we could enjoy more of it. I will definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Cesky Krumlov. The room had everything we needed and service throughout our stay was lovely.
A wonderful stay in this very special UNESCO village. Cesky-Krumlov was our last destination during a month-long drive through six European countries. My wife and I did considerable online research for accommodations and were totally pleased with our experience at Hotel Dvorak. Our relatively spacious 2nd-floor room overlooked the river and offered a beautiful postcard view from our window. The facilities are quaint with a welcoming B&B feel. Bathrooms are large and modern. Bedding was comfortable and the period furnishings add a nice feel. In-room WiFi worked flawlessly. Offsite parking is a bit odd, but necessary to preserve the town's pedestrian ambiance. Taxi service to & from parking was provided by the hotel -- since our car remained parked at the nearby Eggenberg Brewery (since 1560) parking lot (modest daily fee). Pretty much everything worth seeing in town is within a reasonable walk from the hotel. We rarely dine at hotels, but in this case we ate one lunch, and three dinners at this excellent hotel restaurant. Absolutely marvelous traditional food (try the pork knuckle... enough for two). There is some inside seating, but mostly covered patio dining -- just lovely when the weather is nice. The hotel staff are warm and friendly and the tableside service is wonderful. Many thanks to Mirka at the front desk -- she was most helpful on several occasions. Hotel Dvorak is THE place to stay in this remarkable and picturesque small town. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.
We didn't stay here, but called in for a drink in their bar/ restaurant for a drink one rainy evening. The wait staff seemed tired, jaded and totally over tourists and gave the impression we were inconveniencing them. Despite this we sat outside in the misty gloaming and took in the awesome view of the river, the castle and thought that it would be a great place to stay location wise.
The hotel is on a perfect spot on the river/Bridge. Welcoming helpful staff. We arrived by bus from Prague and pulled our luggage to the hotel - not a problem to get a cab. Rooms clean and have everything you need. I am not sure about the noise in the summer as Cesky would be packed with tourists. An easy walk up to the castle. We went back to Prague by private transfer with CK Shuttle.
Best location in Cesky Krumlov, incredible breakfast with fresh fruits, good quality restaurants. A bit old facilities, but has its own antique vibe. Highly recommend to visit! Front manager Ms.Vlasta Kutlakova, she is so nice and speaks English fluently. Thanks for the stay!
I stayed at this hotel at the recommendation of a Czech friend. It was in such a perfect location and we had an incredible view over to the castle from our room. There were three adults and it was all very comfortable and clean. The only thing was the room got very warm in the middle of the night. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Overall a wonderful stay thank you Hotel Dvorak.
We arrived at the hotel and was attended by a hostile receptionist, she wore no smile on her face. The next morning when we enquired about the breakfast place she half yelled at us saying “I told you it is downstairs yesterday”. She has no courtesy to assist us at all. When we requested for room service she explained that the room service finishes at 2pm which was fine but she said it in such an aggressive attitude by pointing her finger at us and said “it is your problem not my problem” repeatedly - we were surprised how bad the service was . I’ve never had such experience in my life and would never come back . The hotel room itself was very small, not much noise isolation and the curtains are very sheer, kind of creepy at night with the red lights. They had two single beds pushed into one to make it queen. But the breakfast was great and the lady at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. The receptionist should fix her attitude, we have been nice to her all along.
By Czech standards, or anywhere we enjoyed great service from the staff (the barman could perhaps get over himself), but the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a room upgrade and the view was simply stunning. A comfortable room, spacious, and a nice big bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel cellar area was fine. Plenty of options. Would stay again if ever in Cesky.
Stayed in room 201 for 3 nights Very large and roomy with a view to the castle Breakfast was fresh and included everything one could want Perfect location, right on the river and 1 minute walk to all the attractions
We had an upgraded room which was on the first floor and was quite large. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. You can't beat the location...in the shadow of the castle and at the start of old town. Because this is a pedestrian only zone, the receptionist ordered a taxi to move our suitcases from the parking lot to the hotel at the hotel's expense, a nice touch. We ate traditional Czech food at their more than capable restaurant for both nights of our visit. Since my wife and I have a Slavic background, we know good local good and this was it. Waiter became our friend. Great service.
