This Grand Hotel has been standing here since 1533! Its HUGE! The only downside is the paid parking...however parking on the square is cheaper...and youre on the main square directly! Lovely clean and large rooms! Wonderful breakfast as well and the price was excellent! By far not the most expensive in the region and by far way above many others! Thoughtful bottle of water on the room for free. Very well equipped rooms as well. Very nice!

When we travel my benchmark of a clean hotel is the bathroom. The daily housekeeping at this grand Hotel is spectacular. The view from our window is of the plaza with fountain and it could not be anymore enjoyable!

Stayed here for 1 night recently. Check in was easy, we were a few hours early, but they were more than happy to keep our luggage for us until 2pm. Set on the town square, it is easy to get around. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spotless. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would stay again for sure.

I have stayed in this hotel previously on more than one occasion, and have always been very pleased with the quality of the room and the service. In addition, there are two very nice restaurants on the premises. Breakfast is included, and consists of a variety of hot and cold items, breads, fresh fruit and vegetables. I always stay in the design suites. The rooms are very comfortable and have a spectacular view of the square. The service is excellent. Everyone on staff who I encountered were very prompt and polite. I really enjoy staying in this hotel, and would highly recommend it.

When we checked into room, it reeked of bleach. In the middle of the night, upon returning to bed after using the bathroom, I spotted a brown speck on the bedsheet. When we turned over the bedlinen, we spotted and killed about 20 bed bugs. I thought I was not bitten but after returning to my home country a few days later, I found rashes on the back of my neck, arms, legs and thighs. I needed an injection, oral medicine, cream and may need a blood test. I did not ask for a change of rooms as it was 1 am but we packed our bags and put them as far away from the bed as possible. The Management said they would investigate but nothing more was heard from them

We were surprised at how old this hotel and the town square were. We had a large room overlooking the square. There was small living area besides the bed. The bathroom was large. Breakfast was limited and not as nice as other hotels we've stayed. There was a family with a number of children who seemed to be everywhere we were. The children ran wild at breakfast and at dinner in the restaurant. The family did not control them and neither did staff. Very glad to get away from them. The staff was nice and we did enjoy our stay overall. Had some great food and beer!

I have booked my room two weeks in advance. I have arrived to the hotel, and the lady at the reception told me, that the manager of the hotel decided to give my room to somebody else. And they don't have any other free room, despite of my booking confirmation. I had to go to another Hotel. So try to avoid this Hotel, if you don't want to have such a surprise.

Serves traditional Czech food, Pilsner Urquel beer (tap), great location (lovely main square of city - old square with impressive architectural quality). The meat was delicious. Good service. Very good value for money (family meal).

This hotel was booked for us through a travel group. Based on the pictures on the hotel website I was expecting something better than what we got. The hotel is located in the main square. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good. The staff is friendly and the lobby is as I would have expected. Once we got to our room, nothing was what we expected. There were two skylights above the beds which made it impossible to sleep after sunrise. There was three items in the mini bar. I guess I should be happy there was anything. The portable air conditioner unit barely reached an outlet to plug it in. There was a stain on the carpet and the room décor looked old and tired. The bathroom was big but the hairdryer was so old, my hair would have dried faster if I had run up and down the hallways. The breakfast offered was very minimal. I was told the hotel recently bought the two buildings next to it. This hotel is possibly in a transition mode. We seemed to be in rooms that were apart of one of the other buildings. Other travelers in our group that were in the main building had better rooms but still not as advertised on their website. This hotel has potential but right now it needs improvements.

This is the center of town and a very pretty square. If you are visiting here this is where you want to be. The buildings have been beautified making this square one of the nicer ones in Bohemia. The hotel is excellent. The bathrooms are good sized and the rooms are decent sized as well. Not all rooms will have good views so if that is important to you be sure to request that. Our room had no view but it was very quiet.
