We had to make a trip to South Bend for my mother’s funeral. We have stayed at Varsity Club before and enjoyed our stay, so they were at the top of our list. We did not expect to spend much time there, so we just needed a room. I was quite pleased to get one for $70 per night, especially with a Notre Dame game approaching. Not knowing if we could make the check in window, I called to let them know we might arrive late, explaining the death in the family. She assured me our room would be held and was very kind, offering her sincere condolences. When we opened the door to our room, we were surprised to find we had been upgraded to a spacious suite, complete with a very kind note and a flowering plant for our loss. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Varsity Club has gone from a nice place to stay to a welcoming home away from home.

The hotel is awesome! It has everything and the staff is great but, the beds were awful. We did not have a good nights sleep.

Great hotel but some slight misses on a few things that were minor but if you get the prices they get then they need to sharpen up. In example the following. 1. Pool area locked at 10 in the morning and no towels at the pool. Shouldn't the resort fee allow for towels there? 2. Bar closed on Parents drop off weekend? I am not sure how many booked rooms needed for bar to be open but to me if your a resort it should be open normal hours. 3. Who is in charge? I asked about key not working on side entrance and opposed to them offering a new key they just said yeah that door does that so wiggle it around. No luck I said and they were just like oh well. After I persisted they sort of deferred to each other and finally one said we will let maintenance know but obviously it has been an ongoing problem. 4. Elevators are way to slow for only 3 floors and not many people there. It's probably literally 5 minutes faster to take steps with luggage. 5. They upgraded me to a beautiful room I frankly did not deserve but I think hotel was so sparse it did not matter much. 6. Hotel is exceptional for ND fans with awesome memorabilia and paintings everywhere. 7. Breakfast buffet seemed to lack attention and was really not any better than Baymont inn which I had stayed at night before. 8. This is actually a great hotel with a beautiful pool, outside yard, lounge area, Billiards room, fitness facility and jacuzzi but they just need to sharpen up in some things.

They have the warmest accommodating staff, love their front desk service. They really go out and beyond to satisfy you!

My grandchildren had final exams to study for and One of them usually gives up her room for me to use. I refused to upset the family routine.

Warm courteous friendly staff! Tammy was excellent at the front desk !

This was the first time I have stayed here, and I highly recommend it. They are remodeling all the rooms and while I didn't have one of the remodeled ones, it was very nice. The only problem was with the tvs. They worked until the evening before I left.

The bed was a little uncomfortable but the room was excellent. The only issue I had with the breakfast is that there wasn't a pitcher of water the 2nd day I was there. When I asked about it, one of the staff members directed me to the drinking fountain next to the bathrooms. Not necessarily something I envisioned as a good dining experience. But other than that a great stay! Thank you!

Generally a pleasant stay at this hotel. Had an issue with the shower and overall condition of the room on our last visit.

We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. Love that the whole family feels like they have room to spread out in the 2 bedroom room. We'll be back.

everything is good, except that breakfast never ready at 6:30 and pillows are tohabig and hard for me, but somebody maybe like it more than me. Will come back again and again

May well be the best motel experience that I can remember. Everything went so very well. The staff was impeccable. This type of care and service does not happen by accident, It has to be a 24/7 emphasis of hospitality. During our week long stay there was not one encounter with the staff when my presence was not acknowledged. We were in Mishawaka for my mother-in-law's funeral. The staff and management even arranged for sympathy card and plant to be delivered to our room. Maybe this kind of treatment occurs at other Hospitality chains, I don't know; but I haven't experienced it. It's just reaffirming and reassuring to know that this continues to exist. A big THANK YOU to The Varsity Club of America in Mishawaka, IN.

Friendly staff, excellent workout facility. Recommend to anyone staying in Mishawaka area.

Large room, good amenities, very clean and comfortable, really good free breakfast.

great as all ways has been staying thier appox 2 days a month its the staff from maint to gm rooms are all ways clean and confortable

Our family of 5 stays in a 1 bedroom king suite whenever we stay, and we absolutely love it. The blu-ray player in the sitting area is a huge plus when traveling with small children, and the pool area and outdoor putting green are a big hit with our boys.

We stayed here for the second time in the last year. Last time we chose the place because it was right around the corner from Edison Lakes where my husband was working for the day. This time we returned because of our positive experience the last time. We enjoy the size of the room, comfortable bed, cleaniliness of the facilities, free wifi and parking. Our surprise this time was the charge for breakfast. We don't recall needing to pay for breakfast the last time. It suited our needs and was available when we wanted to eat, but next time I would probably go elsewhere to eat since there is now a charge.

You get a suite, a whole apartment, for about the same price as a regular one room motel room. Very nice.

comfortable clean why not king size bed and not queen

Ad to stay in South bend for the night. They had a great discount rate that night. Enjoyed my stay.
