Beautiful view of the rainforest. A haven for hiking and close to Diamond Botanical Garden and the Petit Pitons the reasons I choose this place. Also close to Soufriere town.

    Paradise

It was amazing. It was our first time visiting the Caribbean. We fell in love with island and its beautiful people. The cook, drivers and guides for Calabash Mountain Villa made our stay very special.

A comfortable way to see the real St Lucia

Calabash Mountain Villa was our first port of call when we arrived travelling in hire car from vieux fort .we arrived before dark ! A must when you don't know the roads .directions clear. The journey an adventure in itself Julian sandra and Darren are very welcoming. The villa is in a fantastic position. at 6 when dusk fell the forest can alive and was a cacophony of sound for a good hour. Amazing. We drove to soufrierre the next day for onward provision which was another adventure on the mountain roads. Everyone helpful .the botanical garden fabulous .we bought fresh fish and took back to cook with helpful supervision from julian.fantastic kitchen.well stocked . had great conversation with Julian and sandra. stayed 2 nights if we had stayed a third then the hike to top of mountain opposite would have been on the agenda. The next day we travelled to gros islet which is loud and touristic. But my heart is with the simpler life of calabash Mountain Villa .for lovers of nature and a slower pace this is a palace in the forest with a very comfortable bed

    Delightful location.

We spent a couple of days here and had mixed weather, but that could not detract from the pleasure of looking at the views from our balcony. The setting is stunning and one of the best we have experienced. The villa is set on the slopes of a valley and has a great design with all rooms having an uninterrupted view of the countryside. You really need a car for your stay here, otherwise you will waste a lot of time using public transport. The villa has a very pleasant rustic feel with a large central lounge and open kitchen area - you can use this as long as you pay 15USD per day, if I remember correctly. Our room was very large and had a balcony with a fridge on it. Some aspects are in need of attention, such as the wooden flooring in our room. Also, the swimming pool was out of commission. The owners, Julian and Sandra, are delightful people and looked after us very well. Darren cooked our food and helped us plan our daily itinerary. We had a good meal there in the evening - didn't fancy negotiating the poor mountain roads at night. Evening meals are 30USD per person, beers 4USD. 15% is added to your final bill for service. Overall, expensive, but you are paying for the location.
