We got married here on 25th May 2017 and had the most amazing day, and stay at Hotel Meditteraneo. We visited in March of 2016 to look for wedding venues and Hotel Mediterraneo was the first hotel we looked at, after our visit we cancelled our other bookings as we knew this hotel was perfect. The hotel arranged everything for us, we went for the package that included the wedding planning and I would highly recommend this, you cant control everything from home and Francessco & Alessia could not do enough to help us. They arranged our flowers, our transport, our wedding cake and much more. We stayed for 6 days and honestly this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. All the staff are lovely and you get to know them quickly, especially the amount we were drinking round the pool. Breakfast is lovely, a huge selection from cooked breakfast, pancakes, meats and cheese, yogurts and fruit, and most importantly Prosecco!! We had 43 guests so got to see all the rooms, we had the terrace room which was amazing, a huge balcony with sea views plus a smaller balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. The superior rooms are gorgeous, sea views and balcony, and the garden view rooms were just as lovely. Normally when you book a garden view room in a hotel its normally not as nice as a sea view, but these look out over the pool and beautifully maintained gardens so in my opinion just as nice, some come with balconies some don't. We will definitely be returning to Hotel Mediterraneo for anniversary's and holidays. Its perfect!!!!!
We spent 6 nights combining personal days with a business conference nearby. With many hotels in the area to choose among, I would select this one again. The location is unique, which makes the views from the sea side absolutely unbeatable. We had a room with a balcony seaside (more expensive but worth the extra), which provided spectacular views from Mt. Vesuvius to Capri. Sunsets with a glass of wine on the balcony are a must before going to dinner. Rooms are reasonable size (for Europe) with decent size bathroom and jetted tub/shower & bidet. Wifi was good (included in room). Passes to the beach are also included with the room rate (just ask for a pass at the front desk), and get a towel by the pool, then enjoy the adventure through the cave to get to the beach! The pool is gorgeous, with lots of lounges, a great bar, hot tub, and ambiance. The breakfast is outstanding, with lots of selection and many tables for two lining the balcony on the seaside. The staff at the hotel, from the desk to the bell help, to the pool and bar, to the breakfast staff are top notch.
My husband and I have just returned from Hotel Mediterraneo what can we say Fantastico From the moment we arrived and greeted with such warmth and hospitality until the time we departed with a thank you and a gift of lemonchello miniatures All the staff without exception were wonderful Polite and courteous The room all though not the biggest we have stayed in was spotless We had reserved a room with sea view and balcony and that is what we got And what a view The breakfast was wonderful Plenty of choice and our meal in Vesuvius restaurant was superb The pool area and bar was cleaned at least twice a day and the pool it self was beautiful The icing on the cake is the Sky Bar Which we visited twice during our stay The sunset was magnificent Thank you thank you thank you for making our holiday so memorable We will be back
I've had the chance to travel within Europe many times, this has been my BEST hotel stay ever. The staff is marvelous and hardworking and they will go out of their way every time to accommodate my needs. This is one of the best examples of providing the best customer experience. The infrastructure is impecable, the food is marvelous, the rooms are great ... but the staff is OUTSTANDING. I will make it a point of returning to Sorrento to this Hotel every time have the chance. The location of the hotel is ideal, it is away from the crowds but close enough to the action. The pool ambience is perfect to spend the day here. CONGRATULATIONS !!!
First off, I would like to say that if I could give this property and all the people working there 100 stars, I would!!! My husband and I are from the U.S. and chose to stay and have our Italian wedding reception at Hotel Mediterraneo. We both had never been to Italy and spent endless amount of time researching locations all over the coast of Italy for the perfect wedding location. With the help of our planner and doing some research, we came across Hotel Mediterraneo and made our decision. We arrived in Sorrento with our wedding guests (a bus full of 23 people). The hotel location was INCREDIBLE! Everyone was in awe as we pulled up to the front. The minute we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and hellos. The ladies were so incredibly kind and knew right off the bat that we were the wedding party! With the chaos of all our guests in the lobby, they got everyone's room keys and information so quick and efficiently, I couldn't believe it!!! All of our guests loved their rooms. Once we were settled into our room, which was a sea view on the third floor (SO WORTH IT), we met with the hotel event manager Francesco. He gave us a tour of all the event spaces and I started to cry because photos do not do this property justice. It is so incredibly beautiful and I could not believe that we were going to be celebrating in such a special place. As for Francesco, I can't even begin to say how incredible he is. He genuinely cared so much about making our wedding the most perfect day. We are so grateful for his genuine hospitality and for making all of our requests happen. I feel like we asked for so much, and without hesitation, he and his staff just made it happen. From getting my dress and my husbands suit pressed, to booking cars for trips and making changes to our wedding day timeline, he was AMAZING!!!! Our wedding day was absolute perfection. From the food, to the staff, to the location. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect day!!!! The hotel staff truly felt like family the minute we walked through those doors and they all took such good care of not only us, but our families and friends. We not only fell in love with the property, we fell in love with the staff. We had the complimentary breakfast in the beautiful dining room and we all loved it. It was super convenient to have the shuttle bus that takes you into the city center of Sorrento. They do provide you with times, so you can follow the pick up/drop off schedule. My husband and I are forever grateful for the genuine hospitality, the assistance and guidance that they not only gave to us but our guests. We already miss Francesco, Pina, Alessia, Domineco and Antonino! =) We love you guys and cannot wait to come back to Hotel Mediterraneo! It was the best days of our lives! Grazie Mille x 100!
Visited the sky bar for a drink one evening ( this is opened to non residents two evenings a week ) the views are spectacular. The drinks are more expensive than other bars (€22 for a glass of wine and a beer) but it also included a tray of small finger foods that were lovely. The staff were so friendly and it was a fabulous experience especially at sunset
We stayed here for three nights to end our two trip to Italy. Be sure to book a sea view balcony room. Every sunset from our room was spectacular as well as every sunrise over the calm water . The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The pool area was beautiful and the food from the outdoor grill was delicious! They provide free beach passes to the beach across the street and provide you with towels too! The breakfast buffet was spectacular as was sitting on the balcony in the morning enjoying the calmness. The walk to town is a brisk twenty minutes. We were only able to catch the free shuttle twice.... it was either too early or whatever the reason never showed up according to the schedule. Will definitely stay here again!!
We visited Hotel Mediterraneaneo for my sisters wedding on June 1st. We stayed for five days and from the time we arrived, to the time we left everything was perfect. Food was amazing, room was lovely and clean and the grounds and pool were spotless. My husband and I were travelling with our two year old, and I would say that although the staff were very accommodating the hotel isn't very child friendly. No kids menus as such, and the pool is definitely too deep for a small child (bigger children would obviously be fine although no inflatables or splashing in the pool aloud) It definitely had a more adult only feel in my opinion. The hotel has a small beach which is free to use if you get a pass from reception. It's volcanic black sand and has a large decking area with comfortable beds. There is also a nice restaurant down there too. One thing to note is that this hotel uses three pin plugs and we only bought two pin. The two pin will still fit and work in them so no worries there. The sky bar although expensive (€10 for a coke!) was stunning, and the band up there had us all dancing! Visit the town of Positano if you have time- the views are some of the prettiest I've ever seen and some gorgeous shops and restaurants. We had a great time here and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Shout out to Americo who was the best at the pool area. Hard worker who always had a smile! Another shout out to Aniello at the front desk! Every restaurant or activity he suggested was amazing. Always helpful and pleasant. We hope to return one day.
