My husband and I had a week here. The staff at reception and at the pool bar were very nice and helpful and super friendly. Guesseppe, Amerinio and sadly I forgot the other waiters name but great service guys. The restaurant was superb. We had been the year before and cant fault this beautiful stylish hotel.Reasonable bar prices and food excellent.

We stayed with Hotel Mediterraneo for 5 nights and it was absolutely hands down the best experience we have had. The ambiance and service were beyond our expectation from the restaurant staff to the front desk but Americo really made our stay special. He gave our stay the personal touch by his professional yet warm manner. He couldn’t do enough for us day after day around the pool and greeted us warmly each time he saw us. He really went above and beyond by ensuring the we were taken care of and checking back with us regularly. You have a great asset to your hotel with Americo as part of your team! Thank you again for a most memorable experience. We will be back!

Our friends were getting married on 10th May and we stayed for 5 nights. - such a nice hotel with breathtaking views (especially from the skybar!) - staff are excellent and speak great English which helps - shuttle bus to sorrento centre/bag is a great help with children (you can walk to the centre in circa 30mins) - pool is very clean (although was cool when we went and weather was overcast which didn't help) - jacuzzi is warm and lovely! - pool bar is great and food is great! - breakfast is sublime (even prosecco available as a drink if you fancy kick starting early!) We got the coach outside the airport one way for to the hotel for 35 euros all in (coach was 10 Euros each and our 2 year old was free - just make sure you ask though on the bus!) takes approx 1-1.5hrs where we then stopped at the 2nd from last bus stop called San Agnello and grabbed a taxi for 15 Euros to the hotel (however I believe it's about the same price when stopping at the train station) 10mins later we were at the hotel (much cheaper than a taxi at circa 100 euros! Beach is simple yet nice (however we had bad weather so didn't go for a dip!) All in all delighted with our stay at this hotel!

Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento was our home away from home for a good friend's wedding. This is a wonderful central location to enjoy the neighboring areas of Pompeii, Capri and Positano(Amalfi Coast). The hotel is beautiful/sleek/modern and the staff was extremely accommodating and so hard working not only with the regular vacationers but for our friend's wedding there. The complimentary breakfast buffet on the rooftop restaurant is what I miss the most. The views here cannot be beat so make sure you get there early in the morning to get a table on the patio. The pool sits amongst a well maintained garden area and was a nice way to unwind as well. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary shuttle but the hotel arranged private drivers for us (by request) on two occasions. One of the drivers gave us a nice narrated drive along the Amalfi Coast and even stopped at certain points so that we could take photos! Our room was on the first floor and our patio faced the main road. If you're sensitive to a little bit of noise and traffic, I would maybe request a room on a higher floor facing a different side of the hotel. We didn't have any major issues with noise. The room accommodated 4 women. While we could've use an extra bathroom, we made things work. Housekeeping came every day to replenish towels and toiletries and even mop! I think any place can be beautiful but the staff here truly made our experience the best. They treated us wonderfully and I'm still thinking about our wonderful stay there and the warm Italian hospitality received. I highly recommend this hotel for your Italian getaway.

Late leaving this review, kept meaning to, stayed in september for our silver anniversary and loved everything about this hotel including staff, food, location and facilities. So much so that we have re-booked for next may! Cant wait to return. Would highly recommend if you dont want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Sorrento yet close enough for a 30 minute stroll into town.

We were a party of 5 lovely ladies who booked a twin room and a triple with pool view and balcony. On arrival we were upgraded from the triple to a family room which was fantastic because of the space which made it more of an apartment with a patio plus sun lounger and table and chairs. The twin room was upgraded to the triple but as they weren't using the 3rd bed it wasn't an advantage. We felt that had there been a third person in this room as originally booked it would have been a bit tight. The hotel staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Reception, porter, shuttle bus driver and breakfast staff were so friendly that we felt at home straight away. Having breakfast in the Vesuvio restaurant with the panoramic sea views was fantastic and the wonderful selection of buffet breakfast kept us going all day. The hotel swimming pool was lovely with towels supplied and we had to sample the small beach and decking by the rocks with a step ladder into the sea accessed via a tunnel from the hotel. I wish we could have stayed a few more days just to use all the facilities at the hotel. We chose this hotel through a package with Tui and it was definitely good value. I would certainly return to the hotel because of its location, facilities and staff..

My husband, another couple and I stayed here for 6 days and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was so welcoming and the location couldn’t have been better. Our room was facing the sea, couldn’t have asked for a better view. If we ever make it back to Sorrento some day we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for ten nights and just got back home. The minute that we walked into the hotel we felt relaxed and that is as a result of a great deal of work behind the scenes and with excellent customer service. The hotel staff are extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. We didn’t like the room we were initially allocated as though there was nothing wrong with the room itself, it was low floor and I’d requested a higher floor, I explained this to reception staff and we were moved the morning after. This was done without any fuss at all and the staff were happy to help. We were told to check with reception in the morning and found that the porter Franco had already moved all of our bags to the new room when we went to check after being by the pool.... that’s just excellent service and one of the many things that makes the hotel special. The decor of the hotel is classic, crisp, white, lots of period features and the history in the building was tangible. The design features are understated and classically elegant.. staying there is a real treat and the attention to detail was fantastic. All public and private areas were immaculately clean and the cleaner who looked after our room 215 was brilliant! We ate at the restaurant on the fifth floor which also serves the breakfast and we also are at the pool bar. Both of these dining options cook excellent food and we would highly recommend. The hotel beach is free with a voucher and towels being given from reception and although the pool area is difficult to drag yourself away from, it’s worth making the effort to spend some time at the beach as it’s extremely beautiful with access to spotlessly clean sun bed areas and easy access to swim in the sea. There is a direct lift from the hotel down to the beach. If we could give 6 stars to this hotel we would do as it was faultless. We shall miss the amazing breakfast there which provided fresh, quality food with delicious crisp pastries, amazing cheeses and cold cuts, yummy cakes, a pancake machine and a wide range of breakfast delights such as homemade strawberry jam. As well as very good coffee the waiters would offer and make fresh espresso or cappuccino etc at no extra cost.... the shuttle bus was ideal to get in and out of Sorrento and the location of the hotel is a few minutes drive into Sorrento but the peace and quiet at Mediterraneo is a bonus as we wouldn’t like to stay in the centre of the town where it’s too noisy. Americo, our lovely cleaner, the dining staff and bar staff were all fanstaic and every member of staff is a credit to the hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels with work and I believe that other hoteliers would gain a lot from making a visit here to learn how to get things exactly right. We have stayed some hotels that look amazing superficially but then on staying there a day or two the flaws become apparent.... this just wasn’t the case with this hotel as it is truly amazing. Many thanks to the team at Mediterraneo, our holiday was made very relaxing because of the effort and quality offered by the establishment.

Just returned from a wonderful week in Sorrento to celebrate a milestone birthday and a not do big one for my fella!! Hotel staff, especially Americo (big shout out😉) were extremely friendly and helpful. Room had a small balcony with a lovely view of the sea and Mount Vesuvio, the room was compact but had everything you needed and the shower always had hot water 😊 Definitely a boutique feel to the hotel...charming, stylish and Mediterranean lifestyle vibe. The breakfast was spectacular on the 5th floor restaurant with fabulous views and the sight of the cruisers dropping their passengers into the Marina. The pool was lovely, although a little chilly when first getting in, but always good after the heat of the sun. Americo & Antonio always made sure that we were looked after and shaded us as and when required along with keeping us hydrated with beer 🍻 and bubbles 🥂 Would recommend the hotel - good people, great location and fabulous service!! 👌🏼

This was our first trip to Italy. It was our anniversary/honeymoon. Sorrento was magical. Food was amazing. City was beautiful. I think what made our trip most memorable was this hotel. Perfect location....close to everything yet far enough away where it was nice and quiet. The grounds and pool were immaculate. My wife and I always seem to find that special someone that either helped us out or have great advice or was just all around a great person. We found that at this hotel. His name was Americo. He was in charge of the pool and guests at the pool. We rented their private boat for a day to Capri. We were going to take a taxi, but Americo brought us to the marina and picked us up. Not because he had to, but because he wanted to. He took care of us at the pool. He was always making sure that the guests were having a good time, had everything they needed and that the pool area was clean and gorgeous. He definitely made an impression on us and others at the pool. Sorrento speaks for itself, but we will be back to this hotel because of Americo! Thank you Americo and thank you to Hotel Mediterraneo for making our anniversary/honeymoon special and most memorable. We will be back....
