Hotel on the road. Restaurant across the street. Rooms were quite newly renovated and I liked the solution for the bathroom. Breakfast was ok, we have got lot worse ones. Everything was ok for this price! As I was on motorbiking vacation, it was good stop for us. Parking was private and the location was ok for us.
This hotel is part of a service area next to a garage with a restaurant, accessible by a subway under the road, opposite and is reminiscent of the Travel Lodge chain in the UK. It is basically a no frills hotel, but it is unusual in that more effort seems to have gone into the public spaces than the actual rooms which are merely functional. The bathroom didn't have a hairdryer, the bidet was cold water only and the wash basin was very shallow and slow to drain, strangely it didn't have an overflow. Also the basin was on a stand that jutted out making it difficult for this short-sighted person to get close enough to apply make up. The room was very plain, but the beds were comfortable enough, the wall-mounted telly had no foreign language stations - Spanish only. Very friendly, cheerful staff who sell coffee and drinks in the reception area. We tried the restaurant, also called Cadosa, across the road and it is reasonable with a counter service and an a la carte section through the glass doors on the right. Travelling as part of a largish coach group, this was an excellent location with plenty of room for the coach to park. Very average for a budget type establishment and handy for travellers but some way out of Soria itself.
We were impressed by this hotel in Spain. It was quite modernized. The bathroom and shower were the latest technology and our room had a wardrobe behind a movable wall. The beds were also quite comfortable. THE WIFI worked well. There is a lot of parking place and the clerk at the lobby is eager to give us directions. Breakfast was delicious. There were cold and warm options. In fact, there were many choices. All of them being quite delicious! I was impressed!
stayed here 3 times before always had a very good room. bit disappointed this time, aircon hardly working, when led on bed noticed large patch of ceiling about to fall due to water leak above right above desk where my laptop and clothes sat. moved every thing a bit quick.2 large holes poked in plaster so staff must have known about problem.when mentioned to reception she lapsed back into Spanish only although we had a conversation earlier. visited bar across road excellent value for money, heard people complaining about aircon .for €69.00 could have stayed in town centre in a better room.but as always free garage for motorcycle a bonus.as I said, a bit disappointed this time.note /. I could smell tobacco smoke in room and had to go on a fly killing spree before bed
Really nice room on 1st floor, aircon already turned on for me, cheap restaurant opposite hotel, free garage for motorcycle, welcoming staff, easy to find, right on side of n122/a15. 10 minutes from soria centre .stayed before and will stay again. really handy not having to unpack bike due to free lockable garage.good breakfast if you like continental.
The reception at this hotel was pleasant and efficient. Our large air conditioned bedroom had a flat screen TV ( no English programmes ), free WiFi, heating & a clever sliding door which closed off the bathroom, with its good shower ,washbasin, toilet & bidet. There is free parking and dogs are accepted at a charge of 10 euros . That's the good part. Unfortunately the restaurant and cafeteria are reached by a scruffy tunnel under the busy Carretera Zaragoza. We preferred to take our chances crossing this road. However the restaurant does not open until 9pm, too late for us after a long journey from the Costa Blanca & another to Bilbao the next day. Even more unfortunately the adjacent cafeteria could only offer rather tired looking food which looked as though it had been there all day. There is nowhere else to eat & Soria is not close. A pity as the hotel is fine but I don't think we will use it again. The usual bog standard Continental breakfast is available next morning at 6 euros.
stopped here[15. 09. 2013]on a return trip from portugal very easy to find, clear soria, head for pamplona 50 metres on left off the N122 very clean smart hotel. restaurant across main road via underpass, serving good value food. must be good value as coaches use this restaurant as a lunch/dinner stop. very pleased to be offered a garage to park motorcycle at no extra charge. had a large on suite double room with air con and tv at 39.00 euros excellent value, will stay again and recomend to others.
We selected this hotel because it allowed pets. We were travelling with our small jack russell terrier. We found it difficult to find the hotel as it is quite a way out of town. The exterior of the hotel is not very attractive, however, it is quite modern inside. The room was adequate if a little small. The swimming pool is located in the car park and was full of leaves. We were only staying for one night en route to our apartment on the Costa Del Sol. We had planned to eat in the hotel restaurant and have an early night to enable us to get off early the next day. However, the hotel restaurant is on the other side of the road, accessible via an underground subway, but they do not accept dogs?? What's the point in that? So we had to go into town. With hindsight - this was a good thing because Soria was lovely - we walked through the park and managed to find a nice restaurant that allowed us to sit outside with the dog. Breakfast the next day was adequate - but overall definitely not a 3 star hotel.
We chose this hotel purely because it was dog friendly, and were a little alarmed by its appearance when we arrived there, 70's utilitarian architecture. However, once inside, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was just fine, newly refurbished, spacious and pleasant. The free wi-fi was a bonus as was the very enjoyable breakfast. Only a short drive from the beautiful town of Soria. Would highly recommend, for pleasant budget accommodation.
positive: - nice staff - very good cost/performance ratio - free parking - renovated rooms - located close to Soria - some nice flowers here and there, even though the prices are very cheap they decorate nicely - self-made tortilla for breakfast - free WIFI (but slow) Negative: - booked through hotel.com and arrived (as announced) at 2 AM in the morning. Nightshift did not find my reservation and hotel was fully booked. After one hour at the reception desk the really patient and nice receptionist found the mistake in the system and I got finally a room at 3am. - breakfast is cheap but the overall selection and coffee machine does not really satisfy - bed (mattress) was very good, I slept well but bedframe was squeaky - overall cleanliness is good but one morning I saw how the staff prepared the cooked ham for the breakfast and I found it a bit disgusting that the ham was placed for rolling and folding not on a kitchen plate but directly on the surface of a cupboard. - Internet connection too slow for voice over IP Average rated because of ham and check-in issue otherwiese I would have rated excellent. As the cost/performance ratio is in fact excelent and I slept very well I would come back.
