Nice, clean and excellent service from the staff! Located in the heart of Trondheim and surrounded by different restaurants, coffee houses and shops. Try "Superhero" burger restaurant! Best burger you've ever had I'll dear guess.
For business I visited Trondheim, the hotel has a large lobby, luminuous. The room were clean, spacious with thick curtains (really necessary in summer). The breakfast was really nice with fresh veggies, fruits, ham, cheese and marinated fish. Various fresh bread was available. A little food stand was available almost all night at the reception desk which was nice for late arrivals. Ironing is possible in the corridor (board and iron available). It is really useful for having a nice shirt for meeting.
Originally I come from Trondheim, so I know Trondheim is a nice town, but I have never stayed at this hotel after I moved 30 years ago. The concert hall is across the street northbound, a cinema across the street west of the hotel, and the shopping can start outside the door. The rooms are heading to the streets or inside area. Ask for the one you like. For the breakfast you can get a small but tasty choice of typical Norwegian morning food, but also some international food, besides some fruit. Some places of the eating area has got a little bit disturbing music, so I think the middle part is the best. I could not find the stairs, but they are somewhere there. Take a look around if you prefare the stairs. In general the hotel is clean, and the rooms are nice with a big TV and a lot of different connections for PC and other medias. Enjoy! :-)
Room was not as displayed in pictures when i booked. No information in the room regarding the hotel, wifi, phone etc. No tourist info for Trondheim No waterglass in bathroom When taking a shower there would be water all over the bathroom floor. Very annoying. breakfast was ok
I have stayed at hotels on 3 continents and have never written a single complaint until I experienced two nights at this hotel. The Nordic Choice chain owning this misnamed Comfort Hotel tries so hard to be so very trendy, but fails so miserably. In late February, I reserved a room for a weekend in May. But rather than an early bird bonus, I was awarded a room just above street level on the busiest street in this city – no sleep first night when the bars closed down and the drunks began to roam and on second night, a Caribbean band added to the drunken chorus by beginning to play outside my window at 3 AM. Later I learned that a relative who had booked a room at the hotel less than one week earlier had been assigned a room far from the street in a very quiet part of the hotel. I am not a light sleeper but two sleepless nights were only a part of my Comfort hotel experience. My room was so minimalist that my first few hours there were spent trying to discover how to find the server for the hotel´s poor WIFI, how to find the password, how to discover if I could borrow an iron, if there was a gym and other standard hotel services available. But with no phone and no information brochures in keeping with the room´s minimalist decor, this meant constant trekking between the room and the front desk to find out the answers. The room even lacked a Do Not Disturb sign for the door. Breakfast was impossible owing to all too few tables and an army of guests so I ended up eating perched atop a trendy but uncomfortable stool next to the lobby PC. To top things off, I had a long fruitless telephone conversation with a Nordic Choice customer relations person who rather than listen to what I had to say about my problems with the room was most intent on informing me that Nordic Choice was not liable for any refunds even though I repeatedly made clear that I was not after any refunds but a solution to the room problem. Like another Nordic Choice hotel employee replying to the post-stay evaluation form I later filled out, she avoided dealing with the issues I raised by sticking to the standard Nordic Choice ”how to deal with customer complaints” script she clearly had learned by heart.
The location in Trondheim is pretty good, and there is a parking garage not too far away. It's a bit pricey, but... it's Norway. The main hall is really nice and huge. Good rooms, decent service. Liked it!
Just a day at Trondheim, but the hotel is perfect base for exploring the city. Relaxed atmosphere, very good conditions for late check out on weekends, friendly staff, very good breakfast. Just perfect.
First of all tea and coffee available in the lobby free of charge. Rooms maybe bit small but comfortable enough. Very central, just few minutes away from anything worth seeing. Friendly staff. There is also a 24h gym, ironing board on all floors, long breakfast and best of all: if you're leaving on Sunday, checkout is 18:00!!!!!! So no rush.
Very centrally located hotel that is clean and nice, though a bit austere and simple. The breakfast buffet is good but the environment is really boring. The hotel has no parking. A good budget choice and I will happily return.
The hotel is located so perfectly! Short walk to the bakklandet, short walk to the solsiden, short walk to everything. Breakfast buffet more than golden and so delicious! The staff has been super helpful and kind. I TOTALLY recommend this Hotel.
