This place is golden. Im staying here from now on if i have to be in trondheim. Staff helpfull and sincerly well behaved and nice to you. Breakfast was one of the better ive had world wide. Rooms decent. Only disadvantages is a real crappy showerhead in an otherwise nice bathroom and hallways elevators etc is showing severe wear and tear. Rooms however did not to the same degree. Theres no inroom fridge unfortunatelly, this is sad and a huge drawback, but it seems this is a chain/brand policy and a really bad one at that. This particular hotel is probably not to blame though. All in all this place was a win.
My wife and I stayed for two nights in connection with a visit to our daughter and to a conference. Perfect location quite close to Nidarosdomen and Studentersamfundet, and just a few minutes' walk to the city center. Not much extra for a junior suite, which was worth it (not least since we had some family member over in the afternoon). Ask for a room facing the back side (not the street), because those are more quiet. They offered free late check-out until 6 pm on Sunday, which was great. Nice people all around, fine service, good breakfast, convenient. Some wear and tear, but nothing beyond the usual. Good atmosphere!
Had one night stay here with my husband. Good size room, nice bathroom. Not sure what kind of room we had since it was a present, but the room had a separate bedroom. Nice and comfortable sofa and even a small cookingstation.
We visited with 2 small children. Having read the reviews I booked a family room and in the comments section requested a room out to the park in back - and called a week later to inquire about the room location. The front side of the hotel is a heavily trafficked thoroughfare, with buses rumbling through. On the backside all we could hear was the church bells from the nearby Nidarosdomen national cathedral of Norway - we visited during a church festival. The room was modern and nice and OK sized. We had to fold out the couch to beds when putting the kids to sleep. One flat screen TV in the common room where the kids slept and one flat screen TV in "adult" bedroom. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of breads and some cereals as well as fruits and stuff to put on like cheese and jams and so on. The bacon, as some reviewers noticed, did have quite a lot of bacon fat in the bottom of the tin (and I suspect the main complainers are late risers ;-), but the beacon was good and so were the scrambled eggs. Wife and kids were happy with the selection too. The breakfast area was nice and comfortable. The hotel is located right next to Nidarosdomen as I noted earlier. Trondheim Torg with the Olav the Holy statue on a column was a short walk away. The main amount of the old wooden house quarter/pedestrian shopping area is a bit further away, and a bit more challenging to walk to with small kids.
Stayed here 2 nights. Average location and the rooms and landings could do with decoration. Great staff who were always very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but the bacon was extremely greasy.
Well situated, pleasant, good service, superb breakfast, free coffee and tea all the time, free bikes to hire. Moderate rooms, sometimes too tiny, less comfortable chairs, but clean and with environment protection ideas.
We spent four nights in Trondheim, and the Comfort Hotel Park was perfect for most of what we needed. While the room, access, and so on were fine, we have mobility issues so the lack of a restaurant on site was a disappointment--but there is a great 'cafe' across the street. No Hop On Hop Off in town, so we were dependent on taxis, and those had to be called. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was bigger and nicer than expected.
Well located on the main drag but north of the main shopping area & close to the cathedral etc. Spacious comfortable rooms, fast wifi and excellent breakfast. Free tea and coffee all day. Great value and highly recommended
There were no mirrors except a small one in the hallway and one in the bathroom. There were no outlet in the bathroom! The walls and curtains were dirty with spots. And they didn't even give us new coffee cups to use the machine the next day. Only good thing about this suit was that it was spacious. It also smelled a little like sewer and it was nosy as hell due to the traffic right besides it.
This was an amazing place to stay. The staff were friendly, breakfast was amazing, and the location is unbeatable. There is free evening parking on the street next to the hotel, and a parking garage 300 yards away. Excellent choice if you want to be in the heart of the city.
