Well situated, pleasant, good service, superb breakfast, free coffee and tea all the time, free bikes to hire. Moderate rooms, sometimes too tiny, less comfortable chairs, but clean and with environment protection ideas.
We spent four nights in Trondheim, and the Comfort Hotel Park was perfect for most of what we needed. While the room, access, and so on were fine, we have mobility issues so the lack of a restaurant on site was a disappointment--but there is a great 'cafe' across the street. No Hop On Hop Off in town, so we were dependent on taxis, and those had to be called. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, room was bigger and nicer than expected.
Well located on the main drag but north of the main shopping area & close to the cathedral etc. Spacious comfortable rooms, fast wifi and excellent breakfast. Free tea and coffee all day. Great value and highly recommended
There were no mirrors except a small one in the hallway and one in the bathroom. There were no outlet in the bathroom! The walls and curtains were dirty with spots. And they didn't even give us new coffee cups to use the machine the next day. Only good thing about this suit was that it was spacious. It also smelled a little like sewer and it was nosy as hell due to the traffic right besides it.
This was an amazing place to stay. The staff were friendly, breakfast was amazing, and the location is unbeatable. There is free evening parking on the street next to the hotel, and a parking garage 300 yards away. Excellent choice if you want to be in the heart of the city.
Friendly staff! Good location. Very comfortable and clean beds. Only wish there was parking close, we just made sure to feed the meter if we had to park during the day since our coming/going times did not work with the hours of the closest parking garage. (No meter charge overnight, just during the day,) Love the candles in the lobby! I would stay here again.
This is a very good hotel and good value. Its staff is truly polite and helpful, rooms and services are fantastic, the hotel is no super fancy but everything works really fine! Surely the place I will stay the next time I visti Trondheim
The hotel is located centrally with easy access to most sights. The main street facing rooms are a bit noisy. The room was quite small but otherwise ok. The beds were too soft for us. Breakfast was badic, no oatmeal.
I enjoyed my stay in the hotel for 5 days. They have nice rooms, a good breakfast, friendly personel and I enjoyed the sauna. The laying of the hotel is good; nearby the city centre, a busstop and restaurants.
Comfort Hotel Park lies just across the road from the famed Nidaros cathedral in downtown Trondheim. A perfect location if you are on foot and want to explore all the historic sites, like the Old Town, Museums, adn even a beautiful Ringve botanic garden located a couple km's away. The hotel itself is a rather eclectic affair with parts of it occupying the neighboring building and the hotel bar sitting on the other side of the Front desk. Customer service is superb, although Front desk clerk being responcible for everything alone during the night shift leaves the customer waiting sometimes. For instance when I arrived later in the evening, I had to wait for about 10 minutes before the clerk showed up - but the warm welcome and the service cleared that first disappointment right up :) Breakfast is nothing to be screaming about though. I stayed for 3 nights, and breakfast was always the same - in terms of quality of the food - bits of bacon, burned to almost charcoal lying in grease and scrambled eggs, cooked to hell. No lactose-free options that I found, and the lone packet of gluten-free crackers I found the first morning, were gone the next and never made an appearance again. In other words, I was stuck eating scrambled eggs and charred bacon with fruit for 3 mornings in the row - not very diverse. I should mention that they have coffee machine in the lobby with free access - that is if you drink coffee :) There was no kettle in the room, but you can get one at the Front desk if you ask for it. The minibar fridge was emty, meaning no hassle at Check-out. My room was facing the Prinsens gate, and was noisy - the traffic made it feel like I was sleeping out on the street almost. Doors do not provide any soundproofing either - you hear everything and everyone going/coming and doors closing. Overall, if you sleep like a tank no matter what and don't have any food allergies this is a cute little reasonably priced hotel right at the heart of Trondheim.
