Travelodge Healdsburg - Sonoma Wine Country

2.0 out of 5.0

Nothing fancy but clean and convenient. Walking distance to downtown food and wine tastings. Spa was welcomed after a full day. Bed was comfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to sleep. And lets face it - who comes to Sonoma to sit in a hotel room.

Horrible internet connection. Breakfast was nothing but carbs in a tiny room that only 3 people could fit into.

What an awesome place to stay after a day of travel and visiting the local wineries! Loved the hot tub and complimentary breakfast. The waffles were a hot, yummy treat . . . plus there were healthy options to choice from too. Thanks for your hospitality:)

Basic accommodation a short drive from town center and access to great restaurants and a plethora of tasting rooms. Recommend Hawley, Williamson, Portalupi. Seghesio winery is within walking distance and well worth a visit. If room had a comfortable chair for reading/watching TV, overall rating would probably be a 3.

I chose this hotel based on price. The location was very good. The room was fairly spacious and clean, with a frig and microwave and a good air conditioning system. There was not much selection for the continental breakfast. I will probably not go there again.

Great location just off of the main road in Healdsburg. Booked last minute so we were just happy to find a hotel with availability. Decent pick if you have lots of day and night plans and just need a place to stay the night.

The room did not disappoint; Clean with all fixtures working well. It was quiet throughout the night with comfortable temp control. It was all that I expected, however the price seemed a bit inflated for the time of year. Also, the area is a bit isolated. It's great for the quiet, but you will need to drive everywhere for decent food and some entertainment.

No elevator...hard to walk up 3 flights with luggage. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were hard hunks of foam. Too much furniture in room....could barely turn around. Ugly air conditioner on wall...loud and noisy. Very old and dated looking, and smelled of curry in the hallways.

when i booked the room they showed me a room that was suppose to be mine. It was misrepresentation. The room was smaller and did not have a divided wall and sofa that sold me on the room. The manager was not very nice when I told him there was a hole in the bath tub he put silver tape over it and I stepped on a nail and asked him to hammer the tack strip down in the carpet he told me that he had never had this kink of problems with anyone else. He was rude and not very nice about fixing any problems.

An excellent, comfortable bargain. Close (< one mile) to restaurant "Cyrus" a Michelin two star.

We visit Healsdburg almost monthly to visit family, see the sites and enjoy world class dining and we have stayed at many local hotels, this one is our favorite. It is squeaky clean, rooms are compact, rooms are quiet, good jogging or cycling right outside the door and the price is right. Not a fancy Healdsburg hotel experience but the best deal for a basecamp for a wine country excursion.

Motel is adequate, clean. Needs an elevator. Breakfast is very overstated (not as good as the best western next door. We attend the Sonoma wine and food affair every year (11/6&7)and will stay elsewhere next time.

The room was very clean and staff friendly. Outside well maintained. Nice shower with amenities. Comfortable mattress, good refridgerator and TV. On some days a strong aroma of cooking (curry) in the hallway. Free parking and great location. No Bugs! We'll return.

We stayed here for a night while exploring wine country. It was expensive for a Travelodge, probably because we went during the summer, but it was easy to find (right of the freeway) and was close to downtown Healdsburg. The room was clean, but the tub looked a little dirty. We wore flip flops in the shower.

Hotel was close to town. Rooms were clean and had everything as advertised. Grocery across street. No elevator.

The hotel was located fairly far from the center of town - required driving or a cab. The outside leaves a lot to be desired, the rooms are fine. The rooms are definitely overpriced, but all the hotels in teh area are expensive.

The hotel bills itself as idyllic and newly renovated. I think they need a new thesaurus to describe this joint. The walls were very thin. I heard the next room's TV all night long (it didn't seem like they were blasting it) and then the next morning, I woke up to the sound of their hair dryer, which sounded like it was coming from my room. That does not equal idyllic. No elevator meant lugging my bags and all the wine I purchased in this area up and down the stairs. That does not equal newly renovated. The room was so tiny, I thought I was back in Europe.

Although not a huge problem for us, the hotel had no elevator!! Just thought that was weird and kind of a pain when lugging suitcases.

the travel lodge was somewhat a disappointment when we arrived in the afternoon outside temp was 104 degres and no pool. the room was rather small and on the third floor with no elevator. the breakfast was in a small room off of the spa room with a strong smell of pool chemicals.

I would avoid this hotel at all costs. The rooms are small and out of date. The hotel is small, and has few, if any ameneties. The hotel staff was unfriendly and unaccomdating.
