Book this room because of the value. Had 3 nights free because I used my points. Left before my third night stay, thankful i was able to get out, but lost my points. First room given to me smelled, some type of bugs crawling near my phone and refrigerator was not working at all. Second room wasn't much better. Smelled of bleach, hole in bathroom wall patched with stucco, stain on bed sheet. Sleep atop of my bed till I could get maid in to change sheets.
Stayed here during the fires. No rooms anywhere else in town. Phone didn't work, alarm clock was broken. Ok room for the price if you don't have standards. The front desk people are very nice and the rooms are clean, but very dated.
First night stop. Older place. Seemed well kept. Check in was good. Room was clean and simple. Drive up to the door and park right out side. Breakfast was at 7:00 am and we were gone before that. But $177.00 for one night was way too much but we needed a place to crash.
This has got to be one of the worst properties on the list. This place is really old and needs an update bad. The rooms look they are from the 70's and they smelled like it too! The air conditioner was very musty and stunk like it hadn't been run in years, and it was so loud you could hardly talk over it. The pool was dirty and had algae growing on the bottom & sides. Evidently it hadn't been used in quite some time. The only thing this place had going for it was the manager and staff. The check in/out process was quick and they were very nice. They genuinely tried to make you feel welcome.
Very low quality hotel at a very high price. No one who stays here would ever return a second time. Looks much better in the photo which is deceptive. Moldy, toilet loose at floor, doors open to outside directly. Low security. Unacceptable, would expect a hotel of this quality to be $25 a night not $175.
I will not return, too expensive for the quality!!! Air conditioner was loud, adequate décor! Very disappointed in overall quality. Coffee in office was not available till 7:30am.... late for me!!!
I rented room 126 at the Travelodge Santa Rosa Wine Country on 8/9/17 using Wyndham points. I asked for a ADA disabled room (I walk with a cane and had a handicapped placard on my vehicle) and was told that since I was getting a "free" room I would get what I would get. I explained that I had EARNED those Wyndham points (much like earning money to pay for a room), and therefore it wasn't "free". Although there were two handicapped parking spaces directly in front of room 126, it was definitely not a handicapped room. The filthy bathroom was so small that one could barely turn around in it (I have stayed on many cruise ships with larger bathrooms). The first thing I immediately noticed was that room 126 (and about a dozen other unoccupied rooms nearby) had their doors wide open (VERY unsafe, as all rooms were at street level), As the temperature was at the time 94 degrees the room was VERY hot and stuffy. I turned on the window air conditioner and went into the bathroom. In an attempt to air out that room I slid open the bathroom window only to find no screen on the window and several large spider webs full of inhabitants attempting entry into the bathroom. There were security bars on the outside of the window, but no screen. There was black mold on the walls of the shower (which looked as if it had not been cleaned in weeks). Although this was a NON SMOKING room, there was an ashtray on the dresser as well as numerous cigarette-burn marks on the top of the dresser and on the bedcover (which also had a large hole burnt through it). When I took my shoes off the soles of my white socks quickly became filthy from walking on the carpet (which looked cleaner than it was). Although advertised as having "free internet", the wifi was inop that evening. When leaving the next morning I could not help but notice (through the wide-open doors that had been that was all night long) the unoccupied room next to us (125?) had a much larger sized bathroom suitable for a handicapped person. I stay in 40-60 hotels per year (many under the Wyndham brand) and have NEVER stayed in such an unacceptable hovel in the past three decades. I will never stay on this property again, would not recommend it to anyone, and feel like I completely wasted the 15,000 points I redeemed to stay here. I urge Wyndham to inspect this property (without advance notice) and justifiably cancel their affiliation with them.
The first room I was in had some kind of bugs, the manager said that all the mattresses have bed bug covers so I dont know what it was, but I had bites all over. The manager was nice enough to move me into a different room. The hotel is very old, the furniture is dated, the bathrooms were really old. The grout in the shower was dirty and the wall above the shower had mold, the toilet paper holder was broken. I didnt have the "free" breakfast because I saw it was plastic wrapped danish and cereal. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators so I went to Trader Joes and got my own groceries. Nothing great about this place except for the very nice managers.
Kudos to the gentleman "personing" the front desk as we checked in, and checked out the following morning! He presented as being efficient, knowledgeable and kind. We had an extra need in our room, and he responded promptly. The room was very satisfactory.
This place has a lot of bad reviews, but the price was right. We were surprised when we got there to find they had cleaned up the rooms! or at least the one we stayed in (127). Nice TV, fridge, and microwave. Most of my family stayed at the Hilton and they had a smaller TV, no fridge,, and no microwave. The bathroom is small but functional. Bed was comfortable, and towels were clean. Front desk even held on to and presented me with the arrival gift my family had left. Right across a BUSY street to tons of stores (fast food, starbucks, target, costco, etc.)
