Happily stay again whether business or pleasure. Prime location and although hotel Under major rennovation there was very little disturbance to the quality of my stay of 3 weeks. Concierge and managers were very helpful.
I recently had 1 night stay, business trip. It was not my first time in the hotel, only short stays. The hotel is under renovation, no issue with that. I received a newly renovated room but with significant problems in the heating and the ventilation system. The most dissapointing part was the hotel staff knew about these issues and still provided me the room, I expect they do the same with other guests. Heating - the thermostat was not working, no matter the setting the room temperature would go to very hot (27C) Ventilation - terrible constant noise in the ventilation system, no matter if the heating was on or off Bathroom - missing important elements (hairdryer, toilet brush), the new setup is very poorly designed - it is impossible not to turn it into a swimming pool when you take a shower Cleaning - some trash remains in the wardrobe from the previous guest I called the reception at 1:00 AM to check the heating / ventilation. The guy came prepared with ear plugs for me to fix the noise problem and suggested to open the window (0C outside) to solve the heating. It was obvious they knew the issues they have with this room. He also offered to change the room but it was 1:00 AM... The next day, at check-out, the receptionist avoided on purpose any question about the quality of my stay. I told her, she immediately confirmed the poor experience I had. Out of the blue she offered me a taxi voucher, I refused, she still gave it to the taxi driver. I tried to reject it during the taxi trip but couldn't get along too well in English with the driver. Very disapointing approach, really unprofessional. Dear Radisson Blu Sofia, You should not provide a rooom having such problems! A taxi voucher does not solve anything! Best regards
This Hotel is reasonable, however there are currently extensive refurbishments on going at the moment which had a huge impact on our stay. The top 3 floors of the 6 floor hotel are undergoing refurbishment works which meant loud banging and drilling beginning in the early hours of the morning, and from the lobby there is only 1 lift in use which is pretty ridiculous. This may have been necessary work but It'd very cheeky to not advertise this when booking, had I have know about this we would not have booked this hotel, so it was very disappointing. The rooms are pretty nice, spacious and clean. Breakfast selection was rather small and of poor quality. The hotel also offers and airport shuttle at a reason able price which we did use. There is a good restaurant called SASA next door with a huge menu which is definitely worth a visit. Travelled with 4 friends for a weekend.
Significant renovation works on progress. During the day very noisy and common area minimized. Business Center didn’t work but staff at reception helped at their best. Staff very gentle and professional.
This lovely hotel is right in the middle of things in Sofia, just a few steps from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Rooms are very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful. One can walk to museums, shopping and cultural sites. Multiple restaurants also are within walking distance. We would happily stay here again.
very central location. Hotel is under renovation but I got an excellent refreshed room very nicely decorated. Ok breakfast Easy to walk everywhere from here downtown. Indeed I recommend these premises!
DownTown hotel with very nice view to the Tsar Osvoboditel statue. Only 5 minutes walk from the main Cathedral Alexander Nevski The rooms are clean and in general the facilities are good. The bar is cozy and the staff is polite and friendly.
All in all this was a good place to stay. Transportation from here is easy. The lobby is being reconstructed so it is messy. The construction starts around 8am so if you want to sleep in forget about it. The shower was amazing. It was spacious the temperature was consistent even with a 40 min shower, and the quality and water pressure was amazing. I'd get a room here just for the shower. The best one I have had in all of Europe. The beds were comfortable, but standard.
I can only say that I will definitely recommend this hotel because everything was perfect...very clean, the view was unbelievable , the shower perfect and the best like masterpiece. For sure I will come back.
The location is great – not too far from the airport and facing the square and church. There are many good restaurants nearby. The entrance area was busy and quite packed with people – I guess this was because of the weekend and a casino next door. We walked around before and after dinner and always felt safe. Service during breakfast and dinner was great. Particularly Felipe was very attentive and willing to go beyond for better services us when we had the group dinner. Food for group dinner was very good especially the Tomato Soup and the filet mignon. Wifi connection was easy and stable. Our room and hotel public area were clean. They were going through renovation on some floors but we didn’t hear any noises. May be we were out most of the time during the day.
