Hotel is situated closely to a metro station for easy access to the city center. The staff is very friendly and has helped me with all kind of things including elongating my stay, finding taxi's in bad weather. It is clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view on the mountain. It is in some reviews mentioned as outdated, but the hotels I have in Brussels are similar an dmuch more expensive!
This hotel is very nice, the room i had was on the ground floor very modern and clean. On checking in was not told what floor was on just given the key 103 so thought it was on first floor, after struggling in small lift realise it was on the ground. No problem of noise. Breakfast was ok usual thing nothing special. Very close to metro station, wifi good. Yes i would stay again .
The hotel is centrally located, which is a good thing. Very close to the metro station, 2 minutes walk. Rooms are outdated but bed is comfortable. Bathroom is ok. Breakfast is average. They have also parking places (10), but this comes with 10 BGN fee per day. WiFi is free in the whole hotel. Overall, it is a good value for the money.
Upon arrival, approx 11pm, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, offering advice on the hotel, and places to visit. The room was very spacious and, although slightly dated (70s), it was clean, tidy and functional. Strangely a mini-bar was provided but not kettle or cups for tea and coffee as is usually provided, but that was no problem as it meant I ventured out locally for a coffee, and there are several decent coffee shops within 5-10 mins walk away. Location-wise hotel was perfect, 20 mins walk to the edge of town one way (40 mins to the centre) and 5 mins walk from local shops the other, including several street vendors for breakfast. Adjacent to the hotel is another hotel with a late night bar called Candy Club, which was very handy for late night drinks. So, I'd definitely stay here again for great value for money, only if I was looking for luxury might I consider staying elsewhere.
Room standard is normal, walls are a little thin, no international news channels on TV. Clean, though slightly worn. Wifi works fine. Minibar is well stocked. The hotel has a training room open from 08.00-20.00 and offers spa treatment. Breakfast is alright with all the basics.Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is 20-25 min walk from main pedestrian street downtown. Location is good in that it offers a number of bars and restaurants in the near vicinity. Prices are reasonable.
Hotel offered a kind and friendly air port pick up du to the late and delayed arrival - what was good. Check in was just a minute. Quality of the room: renewal is recommended, because of the cleanliness of the carpet, paintings at the bathroom. Thin walls, masculine activity filter thorugh late afternoon. Noisy aisle. Nice view from the 4th floor. Size of the room:spacy, comfortable. Price of the room: affordable compare to downtown prices.Breakfast: included, but very basic level, nothing changed while I was there.Wifi: fine, accessable around the area.
Truly unpleasant hotel and best avoided. Dark, dingy and without any redeeming qualities. The bed was simply the most unpleasant one I have ever slept on. So bad in fact I would have slept on the floor had that not been so filthy. The walls are paper thin so snoring, showering and your neighbours TV all add to the hostel experience. No facilities including a permanently closed evening restaurant and no bar. It's a remote seemingly impossible destination for Sofia's taxi drivers to find and you get fed up being taken to the Hilton! I would not stay here as a single woman as the only food available involves walking down an unlit footpath at the side of the hotel. There is some kind of clinic attached to this hotel which attracts a certain clientele who seem to congregate outside smoking. Taxi's take forever to come or find the place on return. The breakfast buffet is best avoided - stay and eat elsewhere.
Positive: Friendly staff mostly although check out staff seemed to wish they were elsewhere. No enquiry if my stay was satisfactory or not. She just took the money from my card. They also check the room mini bar while you wait at reception to check out even though I brought them the list of items used. The implication is that guests can't be trusted. Negatives: No proper bar or restaurant, terrible Wi-fi, air conditioning doesn't work properly. I complained twice about the room temperature and nothing was done. So most definitely overrated and overpriced compared with what you can get elsewhere locally. Would not stay there again.
Conveniently located in Sofia, with easy access to the airport via metro, the hotel offers balanced value for the money. Rooms are uite basic and their size is average. Bathroom is well equipped but nothing extraordinary. It has free WiFi for the guests. Breakfast is ok. Parking is quite limited.
The thing that stands out about this place is its staff. Friendly, keen and always smiling. Very clean and comfortable little hotel. Advertised as a four star it's a little disappointing that one can't get a hot drink or food between 7pm and 7am. The Breakfast, not included in our package, but at 8 Euro (16 Lev) seemed somewhat excessive, so we stuck to the nearby bakeries for pasteries and coffee for breakfast at 2 Euro (4 Lev). The hotel is about 15-20 minute walk from the centre of the city, and apart from the gripe above I would highly recommend this place. Really enjoyed our stay here,
