The staff was excellent and took extra steps to be helpful. The hotel was perfectly situated within the old town. The facilities were very charming. There was no parking available next to the hotel. Closest parking was located approximately a quarter of a mile from the hotel at €19 per 24 hours. However, I’ve found this is common whenever I stay within European old town areas.
We spent two nights at the Allegro hotel. Great location at the base of the castle hill in the old town. Lots of restaurants nearby and close to all of the main sights in Ljubjlana. Large and very comfortable room that was tastefully decorated in a older style. Bathroom was good size and very functional. Only downside, which is common for hotels in the old town, is that it is in a pedestrian zone so you or a taxi cannot drive directly to the hotel. However, we would certainly stay there again.
Great staff all fluent in English. The walking path is within yards of the hotel, as are a number of good restaurants. Highly recommended.
