Wet BLOOD stains that they obviously noticed because attempted poorly to clean up on carpet... Blood on pillow case and all down bathroom door. Garbage under bed. Bobby pin laying on bed when I entered room. Disgusting property!

Great staff! This is an older property now being renovated. But, the staff is pleasant and helpful. It's a great location to be in downtown Sioux City.

Friendly , clean , comfortable !!! Great value ! Great breakfast !

Front Desk People at this location were great during my stay; I booked three King rooms & requested that all three rooms be on the same floor; luckily & thankfully they upgraded one room to ensure my request was met, and at no additional fee. I also requested late-check out for all three rooms; the hotel staff was great at fulfilling our needs. For this particular stay, my friends & I were satisfied; usually, we would want to stay at a hotel with a working pool, but at least I was made well aware when booking, simply because I read about the hotel's remodeling which was on Orbitz. Overall, it was a great price for a nice, clean place to stay.

The price and the value fior a beautiful place to stay

Was told at check in that our room was dirty but got checked jnto anyways. Was told to come back down if we needed sheets. When returnjng for sheets he gave me 1 sheet and said they domt have any pillows or anymore sheets or blankets. Terrible stay. Was also promised late checkout onlly to still be bugged by housekeeper 4 times starting at 9am. Very disappointing

Hotel was horrible rooms were not clean and bedsheets had spots on them

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when they were actually at the front desk although the post was often vacant. Rooms and hall carpets were never vacuumed. Limited choices for breakfast. The eggs looked very scary. Rugs scrunched up in front of front door caused safety hazard. Keys didn’t work. Room was not freshened one day.

When we checked in they gave us a room that wasn't cleaned, Then the next room may of been cleaned but it was gross and dirty also. That night at 4:00 a.m. someone opened our door and tried to come in. Only one of our cards would open the door, so I had the other one fixed. It worked but now the first one would not work. Bad bad dirty room would not stay there again.

There was hair in the bathtub, we had to take the back of the toilet off just to get the eater to stop running when flushed, the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. The only reason we stayed there was because we needed to be close to the hard Rock snd surrounding areas.

Horrible Customer service... was charged $20 extra to check in an hour early. They authorized my card for $85 MORE for 'incidentals' The front desk 'lady'( i use that term loosely) said its up to their discretion whether they authorize anywere from 40-150. Finally checked in and the water was running YELLOW out of the tub and sink. Their updated rooms are a joke. Bed uncomfortable room halfa**ed cleaned. I looked at my online account n they authorized more than they said they would.. so i called the front desk no apology NOTHING. Woke up in the am and the water wasnt even working. Couldnt take a shower before leaving. I went to checkout and make sure they released the authorization. First spoke with a nice old lady.. she had no idea why the 'lady' checked me in authorized as much as she did. That same chick just happened to walk out when she was trying to figure it out. She immediately copped an attitude saying ' i explained this too when u called last night' i informed her ive been staying at this hotel for 6 years and NEVER had anything like that . Maybe an extra 20$ for incidentals but not 100$ . She basically called me a liar and said i was wrong. I told her how much i thought of her customer service skills or lack thereof and how the hotel is a dump and there are other places to stay that maybe an extra 3o and wont charge extra fees. NEVER GOT AN APOLOGY FOR THE WATER NOT WORKING. HoRRIBLE HORRIBLE. never again

The bed was hard could feel the springs. Knowing there remodeling.

There was a reason the room was half the price of other hotels in the area. Non working TV, Non working internet, Non working employees at the front desk. This place in in complete disarray and non of the hotel staff seem to care in the least.

Whole floor stunk. They blamed the smell on renovations I don't think so !! Stains on carpet , peeling paint , black mild around tub. We were on fourth floor you could hear people fightibgv, screaming on street below where there's a patio. Cops were there too. Shower head was so low . Went to restaurant chairs were filthy, the nice thing they took so long we decided to just take food to our room , they im gave it to us complimentary!

I needed a place to stay in Sioux City -----other hotels in the area were non-smoking. This hotel allows smoking in designated rooms and I'm glad they do! My room was comfortable, quiet, and for the most part---clean! This hotel made parking very easy as it has a parking ramp connected to it, and is connected to a skywalk system. We came to Sioux City for a concert and could walk to the event. Lot's of little shops in are in the area and I wish that more time was available to check them out. This hotel is in an area of Sioux City that seems to be coming back to life, and appeared to be going on all around the area! Nice to see! We stopped in the hotel lounge for beverages before the show, the drink prices were reasonable! This is an older hotel and it had many floors that offered great views of the area! I liked the big lobby with tall ceilings and the details of the building in the lobby! This hotel is under renovation, but no problems were created by that!!! The pool was closed, but had no time to swim anyway! I will stay again if in area and hope the remodel breathes new life into this hotel---

The main reasons for choosing this hotel were the location and the price. While it did meet those needs, I would rather pay more or stay a little further from my destination for a better quality hotel overall. While I was aware of the current renovation construction at the hotel, that is not an excuse for the deficiencies in housekeeping, customer service and maintenance. Upon arrival, the bed looked to have been made by a child, and it actually got worse each day. The bed skirt was crooked and halfway on the floor, the sheets were barely tucked in, the comforter was twisted or crooked and the pillows appeared to have just been tossed near the head board. In retrospect, I should have taken photos of the bed for the comedic value. For 2 adults, having 2 small bath towels is not sufficient. We requested additional towels the 1st night & while we did have to wait for the one working staff member to retrieve them, we did still receive them as requested. For the 2nd night, we had spoken with housekeeping staff during the day & they actually left the additional towels as we asked. Then for the 3rd night, we left a note asking for more and it appeared the towels had been left, but then after showering, we discovered that we were left with 4 bath mats instead of the towels as requested. When I went to the desk to request more, they gave me 2 & indicated that I would have to wait for more from the dryer (at approx 11:30pm). Needless to say, I wasn't going to wait at that point & we just adjusted to using the 2 small towels. There were always about 5-6 towels in the pool area and then in the fitness room, there were none. This leads me to wonder if they have a limited supply of towels and that amount is not sufficient for the capacity of the hotel. The fitness room was also horribly maintained. There was an empty water cooler with dirty dishes stacked on it and although I asked repeatedly to have it filled, that never happened. The equipment was not in good working condition, the floor mats were ripped and falling apart and I would guess that the room overall had not been cleaned in at least a month. There was some evidence of construction debris (sawdust, paint chips, etc) but there was no work currently being done in the area. The icing on the whole experience was the fire alarm going off on the last night at about midnight, when we had a very early morning departure. My guess is that the alarm had probably been pulled by one of the guests at a party on the lower levels. The fire trucks came and finally shut the alarm off (after about 20-30 mins) and it doesn't seem that there was ever a true emergency or fire.

This place has not been maintained and is seedy. There was one one washcloth and one face towel in the room, the phone and coffeemaker were disconnected and a drawer was full of ketchup packages. The front desk was okay, but we were not given adequate information as to how to go from the parking garage to the hotel and to our room.

I always enjoy my stay at this hotel. It's convenient clean and comfortable
