They need to fix their gate so you do not have to make a two mile drive from the office to your room,

I was there during hurricane Irma and was very comfortable considering the conditions. Had minimal water damage because they were prepared and set up barricades which gave me peace of mind. We also had water and light for a little while during each day.We were also updated on what was going on daily and notified when evacution was available. I would go back, just not during hurricane season.

The staff was the best. Driving there was crazy but was fun, the people and activies was amazing. Visted the natural pool, the beaches was beautiful.

Beautiful accommodations and wonderful staff. We were checked in and escorted to our room! The location is perfect if you want to be away from the crowds. Dawn beach is perfect for snorkeling. There isn't a restaurant on site but Big Fish is just a one minute down the hil. There is also a small grocery store with reasonable prices.

Warm and welcoming front desk staff and superb accommodations offering space, views, and great amenities.

Just returned from St Martin and this was one of the best vacations ever. As a frequent traveller of the Caribbean for business and pleasure, this hotel was one of the best. Views are amazing. Staff go out of their way to make your stay incredible. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Even when I was looking to get my hair into Dutch braids, the front desk actually offered and did it for me! They also helped us book a trip with Captain Alan which I highly recommend. Rooms are best I've ever been in and rival top chains anywhere. Restaurants can be found just a short drive away. Mr. Busby's food was amazing and Big Fish was an incredible restaurant. There is a small convenience store across from Mr Busby's, where we were pleasantly surprised to find our favourite organic wine! I would not hesitate to return in a heartbeat. Thanks Princess Heights for making my stay an incredible one.

Overall, we had a great time staying at Princess Heights. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, staff were very friendly, the location is idyllic (if you're looking for secluded, scenic) and safe. We would recommend this to most travellers. If you intend on seeing the island independently, you'll need a rental car. If you want to just relax, you can get by with local area offerings and lie low here. I don't believe it is a 4* hotel (by North American standards), more like 3.5*. If you would like more attentive service, I would say stick to the few 5* hotels on the island. The place seems to be run by young interns who don't yet have the experience of veteran hotel employees/managers. Just one example was asking for two more pillows (am pregnant, want to ease back pain) and being told, "I don't know if we have any more. I will have to check with Housekeeping. Let me get back to you." We never heard back, so we asked a lady in Housekeeping Dept.; never received them and ultimately gave up. When we stayed at another hotel (5*) on island (previous stay), we asked for more pillows and the first thing they said was, "No problem. Would you like them more firm, or more soft? We will bring them to your room before 4pm". All in all, it was a great place to hang our hats during some of our vacation; friendly staff, very clean rooms, picturesque location. Just feel it is misleading to call Princess Heights a 4* hotel.

A little off the beaten path. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area and the best beaches. We had stayed on the island before and choose princess heights for the proximity to the French side because of the beaches. Every room had a view of the ocean.

I have spent 2 vacations here love st martin love princess heights. Great location you must rent a car and see entire island. Staff was great and everything accommodation we needed they made it happen. I will be back again...

I think I would have liked this place just fine except no screens on patio door so we could not enjoy the ocean sound or breeze. Defeated the whole purpose of staying there Plus no patio furniture except a small plastic table and chairs. Really took away from the luxury concept

This hotel was great and the view from my room was awesome! Will stay again.

I was so happy at princess heights first of all the hotel is better than the pictures which usually never happens. We arrived and check in was so efficient they even escort you to your condo which is a little drive up the mountain they tell you about different sightseeing excursions you can do. They gave us map to grocery store and helped us promptly with any requests we had. I will be back and I will recommend to anyone going there. I was a bit skeptical on renting a car but it was the best thing I did we were able to see so much more and the driving you will get use to after 1st day. Easy to get around and you can enjoy both french and Dutch sides. Bring cash for gas because all gas stations do not except credit.

my husband and I had an awesome time everything was wonderful and I cant wait too get back down there I hope someday I will retire there it's just awesome

Wonderful hotel, fantastic room, requires a drive to reach the beach

Boutique hotel , condo style suites , very spacious with full kitchen and large balcony , if you are staying here you do need a car , not to many things around , Dawn beach , which is the closest beach is basicaly exclusively for "Westin" guests , about 30ft of sand on both ends is public , can not use beach chairs . Hotel staff was very friendly , nice pool , very quiet hillside filled with private villas , all the rooms in both buildings have an ocean wiev..

Great condo with breathtaking views of Oyster Pond and St. Barths. Our room had a kitchenette; free wifi; free parking. A car is highly recommended.

My wife and I had an incredible experience at Princess Heights in St. Maarten. About a thirty minute drive from St. Juliana Airport (SXM), the hotel is nestled in the hills overlooking Dawn Beach on the east side of the island. The studio suite we stayed in was immaculate, comfortable, and had a spectacular view of the beach, with St. Barts off in the distance. We stayed in the second building on the 6th floor, so we had the highest balcony view Princess Heights had to offer. Dawn Beach was one of my favorite beaches on the entire island, so it was nice that it was only a ten minute walk down the hill from the hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions to all the major cities and ports, as well as advice on various activities and restaurants that previous visitors recommended. They were quick to solve any problems that arose (and those were minimal), and always provided polite, gracious service. The restaurants around the area were quite good; we enjoyed lunch at Mr. Busby's, and dinner at Mama's Pizza and Captain Oliver's. Other noteworthy places were Pineapple Pete's in Simpson Bay, the Tree Lounge at Loterie Farm, and the beach tents at Mullet Bay. We didn't have a single bad meal the entire week, and used the studio's kitchen to prepare breakfast every day. Our favorite activity was the Lambada day trip to Prickly Pear and Anguilla. The tour allows you to snorkel, swim, and cruise around some of the area's finest beaches. The crew was very entertaining, the bar was open the entire day (try the rum punch), and the lunch on Prickly Pear was just as good as any restaurant on St. Maarten. All in all, it was the highlight of our trip, and it was originally recommended to us by one of Princess Heights' staff. Our honeymoon could not have been better, and we owe the vast majority of our amazing vacation to Princess Heights. We can't wait to return!

Our room was very clean and spacious. It had a large bathroom, kitchenette, etc. We had a balcony that overlooked Dawn Beach. If you want to go to this beach, it's a short walk down the hill, but if you have a rental car, there are better ones (Mullet Bay, Orient, etc.). Some good restaurants and a market nearby as well. Staff were attentive to our needs. Pool is nice and is open 24 hours. You can also walk to the Westin and go to the casino, restaurants, etc. that are there. Only negative I can think of is that this area is a little out of the way of the touristy stuff, but if you have a rental car, it's not a big deal at all. Great stay and value overall.

Princess Heights is a high end three star resort, pefect for a romnantic getaway or a family holiday. The one bedroom suite was a perfect size with a great ocean view balcony looking out on Dawn beach and the island of St Barts. Enjoyed Daniel by the Sea restaurant situated directly on Dawn beach amazing food, great pizza, and an excellent happy hour. The hotel pool is a great way to end the day after being at the beach or exploring the island. Orient Beach is only 12 minutes away, Pinel island is about 25 and Grand Case about 30 minutes. Definetly recommend getting a rent a car, watch the planes come in at maho beach at he sunset bar, make sure to get the Klm flight schedule the 747 landing and take off are amazing. Spend a day at simpson bay at Karacters a perfect location and great food. Mullet bay is not to be missed probably the best kept secret on the island, if you like ribs chicken and seafood for a low price, go to the skys the limit in grand case, it does look like much but the food is local, the taste is great and the prices are the cheapest on the island.

It has great amanities including a microwave, hairdryer, wine glasses, utensil, detergent, etc, thus, I was able to relax at a clean and comfortable room without going out every meal. Also, staffs' hospitality was great. How they worked and treated us was not business oriented. I think the reason why they can provide such nice facilities and staffs are because they minimize the unnecessary #too much# luxury #like splendid, but untasty and often costly restaurants within the hotel facility# and focus on what customers really appreciate while staying there. I felt hotel owner and managers are doign great job as a hotel business. Since it is far away from both airports and downtowns #Philisburge, Margot, Maho beach, etc#, it might be too silent and boring for people who are looking for night fun. But overall this Island itself is not party place, thus if you are looking for party and night life, you may want to change your destination. Anyway, as stayed at Princess Heights, I definitely recommend all of my friends to stay there!
