Village Hotel Changi

Nice location in Changi Village, you can walk to the ferry and the hawker center within a couple blocks. There is a great little micro brewery next to the ferry terminal. The hotel has the feeling of a fine hotel but it looks a little old and worn. Overall not bad but I would t wa t to spend an entire vacation there.

Picked this hotel for an overnight stay between flights to Bali. Thought it was closer airport than it actually is. Took about 25 minutes with taxi for about 25SGD. Hotel provides return trip via shuttle to airport but never mentioned anything about pickup. Also at checkin clerk confirmed king bed but actually received 2 twins. Clerk also mentioned breakfast buffet for morning but after sitting down were informed it was not included. Price was 40SGD per person!

Great eating places close by, lots of activities, free bicycle rides, close to the airport. Excellent staff!

This hotel is pretty clean. It's good for a 1-2 stay if you don't want to be close to downtown Singapore. It's about 15 minutes drive from airport but 30 mins from downtown. Assuming no traffic. Taxi told us during peak hours it can be upto 45-60 mins to downtown. Make sure you avoid 7-9am and 5-7pm weekday. Pro: They have free morning shuttle pick up and drop off on certain time. Ask hotel for time range. It's right next to the beach and there are many food stalls. We ate at a pretty good dim sum stall at 7am before we head out to the airport. Con: It's opposite side of downtown area. They only have early morning 10am one way shuttle to downtown for free. Only way to downtown is by taxi which cost about S $25 each way. Overall it's a good place to stay if you have more than one day. For one day layover stay, better to stay near downtown to avoid the extra taxi cost.

Food was horrible. Really horrible. And when the internet didnt work, I was expected to deal with the IT personnel and to give them access to my computer and IP address. WOW.

the suite was an upgrade and much more than I expected ... it was close to good eating places

Arrived late and found that the cable TV settings did not work. Staff came and could not fix it quickly. It had to be reprogrammed. Only stayed one night. Picked it because it was close to the airport; however, our taxi took longer than expected and charged more than expected.

All was fab, except the coffee........................................................

Excellent facilitie that is close to airport. Clean with great service.

Was impressed with the modern appearance and the amenities offered. The top floor infinity pool was impressive. The location near the airport with shuttle service was convenient. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as access to local public transportation which was a plus. We would use it to get into town, enjoying the local color and environment in the process. Overall, it was a great place to stay, would stay there again. The rates were reasonable.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Breakfast (included in my hotel fee) was absolutely superb. The hotel was clean and the amenities were exceptional. The last hotel shuttle from the airport had left when I arrived. I wish the shuttle was available 24 hours of the day. I did however catch the return shuttle to the airport which was comfortable and arrived on time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to stay at the same hotel in the future.

The only reason we picked this hotel was bc we were arriving in Singapore late at night and were flying out of Changi airport the following morning. The hotel offers shuttle service to the airport but there's only one shuttle bus that runs every 90 minutes. It takes approximately 20 minutes to get to/from the airport. There should have been at least 2 buses running every half hr. Also, the rooms had a moldy smell.

My last stay at village hotel Changi was noisy. My room had a door to an adjacent room after going to sleep after a 24+ hour flight and stop over, I was looking to a QUIET night sleep. Person next to my room was snoring very loudly. I woke up, tried to use ear plugs plus my noise cancel headphone. Did not work. Next time I would request a room without a door to next room. Not sure if this would have helped.

This is still a great hotel for those in the aviation / aerospace industry. Close to all customers at Changi. Get the Club Level upgrade, worth every additional penny. The food service (both club and downstairs) has gone from superior on the breakfast buffet to so-so good. No more premium liquor, but nice house red. However, still has a great pool, super location for those in the aviation business, and the hawker foods next door are some of the best in Singapore. I also like the fact that you get an airport shuttle free of charge, and golf at the Singapore municipal golf course next door is only 35USD if you are staying here !

The gym was open late (all night, I think), which I appreciated. The pool was open late, which was lovely. It's well situated for day trips in the area. The restaurant looked a little pricey so I didn't try it, but there are great food stalls across the street. I didn't have much interaction with staff, but what I had was good. My room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.

The upgrade package to club room is a great value and it comes with a free breakfast and an evening cocktail time that is good for a meal. The swimming pool is a little crowded but very innovative for sunning in shallow water.

Generally clean hotel and good distance from the Airport. Excellent Customer Service Level and attentive to needs.

Yep I believe being ready to face the morning will be a great attitude towards capturing the moments

The location is quite far from airport. Just OK for stop over!
