Extended Stay America San Jose - Santa Clara

This room was not inexpensive, and I did not feel I got the value I paid for it. Got a handicapped room, which is not always fun. The lights next to the bed would not work, so had to use the flashlight on my phone to see. Near a train track, so noisy all night. The breakfast is really only muffins in plastic bags and granola bars. No hair dryer in the room, so I had to go to the front desk to get it myself, as there was no one there to bring it to me. One small bottle of shampoo (no conditioner, lotion etc). Then, when I checked out, they didn't want to give me a receipt. When I asked for one, I realized they over charged me by $60 more than the Orbitz rate. The woman at the desk could not provide me with a new receipt at the time, but did send one to me later in the day via email.

Overall it is good especially it is close to Santa Clara convention center.

A dead bug was on the wall , they forgot to leave the soap and shampoo in the room. There was a horrible noise

My stay was so comfy! The place is nice and quiet! Staff was friendly. I felt so tired and wasn't going to be checking out on time. The lady in the front desk offer to extend my stay Until noon with no extra charges! Thank you extended stay!

I regret having booked this hotel, first when we get into the hotel the attention was horrible, they made us wait a long time, the person who checked us was a old person, was very slow and rude, was not friendly, the rooms were not that clean, and the most horrible thing is that they do not give water to the guests, you have to buy it at the hotel, another thing they offer a a supposed breakfast included in the hotel rate, and our surprise was when we went down to the lobby, was only coffee with muffins, that's all, really? that was a joke for us, is that a truly breakfast in a hotel? And the "the breakfast" was until 9am. The hotel price is very high for what they offer, we only chose it because it was near the levi stadium and we went to the beyonce concert, but never again in that hotel, not recommened at all.

Woman hair on lamps, bed sheets, found tennis shoes under the bed, dusty, no coffee maker.

We arrived to a courteous staff. We asked for extra blankets and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was close enough for the stadium but far enough to be away from most of the exiting traffic. The clean rooms and comfortable beds made the stay relaxing.

When checking in (at 4:00 PM) there was only 1 staff member checking people in so it was about a 30 minute wait. Some people were saying it took them about 45 minutes. I overheard someone say some staff called in sick. I felt bad for the girl working the front counter and for the most part the people in line did too, but every request or question was answered with a sigh or an eye roll. I felt the staff was unprofessional and I also felt like they were very inconvenienced by the presence of all the customers. The hotel was nice and very clean and the location was convenient for concerts, but unfortunately I will not be returning.

This is a great hotel/efficiency apartment with full kitchen. The location is in good distance to peninsula cities. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities you would want at a great value. The continental breakfast left a bit to be desired, however.

First things first, this is an extended stay hotel. It's meant for longer stays for business reasons. Due to business reasons, lots of people come from various time zones with their families. That also means kids who don't realize that 2am PST isn't a good time to cry or run screaming around. The walls are a little thin and you can hear everything.

It was quiet but not much stores around but stff wad nice

Obviously this is not a fancy hotel. This is a basic hotel and was what I was expecting for the price. Some reviewers have complained about trains "all night". This is a exaggeration in my opinion. The last train came around 9:30 And first train around 6 am. The walls are thin- I could hear the person above me blow dry their hair and the shower from the room to my left. If you're in the area and need something cheap This will suffice. But if budget isn't a issue I would recommend something else. I stayed 3 nights while taking the bar exam at the convention center a mile away And paid 1/3 to stay here than what the other hotels charged. I needed to be close so it worked well for me.

I Stayed for 4 to 5 days. It has very good location and ambiance. Staff is quite helpful. You will feel like a home.

Coffee maker and TV remote didn't work and had to ask several times fir correct wifi pass code etc... However, the real problem was being called a liar by the front desk attendant. When I arrived late at night, I checked in with my daughter and 2 small dogs. I reminded the gentleman that I had 2 small dogs and he said he wasn't worried about it. He was very pleasant! The day I was checking out, the front desk woman (older Asian lady) chased me down to let me know I would have to pay for pets. I said no problem.... The man that checked us in knew we had dogs.... The pet fees should have already been charged. She accused me of lieing. I'm a 43 yr old, professional woman. How dare you? Not too mention, she started knocking on my door at 9am and called my room twice that morning. If checkout us 11am.... DO NOT bother me until 11am!

When I arrived it took a few minutes for the staff to even acknowledge me so that I could get checked in. When I asked whether my room was on the side of the hotel opposite to the train tracks, the desk clerk said yes, but she was wrong. The evening clerk was extremely helpful in getting me moved to a room on the street side of the hotel. The hotel is not a great value because your room isn't cleaned daily, you have to dump your own trash, and breakfast is a granola bar and coffee and *maybe* a piece of fruit. The rate may be less than other hotels in the area, but the difference isn't that great and you subsequently give up a number of amenities. People were noisy in the hallway, disregarding the 10 p.m. quiet period such that I would be awakened in the middle of the night almost every night. Rooms are also smelly because people cook in their rooms.

Went for training in Silicon Valley and this place was a nice stop along every night. Near train tracks and not fancy, but it looks good and gets the job done. I'd go back.

I spent the entire night without sleep, Trains and trucks all night in a bed that was like lying on a board and pillows that were so uncomfortable that I got up and put towels in the pillow cases in order have any kind of comfort. No hair dryer room was dirty. Should have slept in my car.

Overall very good. Will definitely recommend it.
