It was a good hotel. Clean, nice location. Attentive staff. Room was slightly dated, but the fitness center was in very good condition, it has one of the better pools in the area, and the breakfast buffet was very good. Overall, nice place.

Everyone was friendly and helpful, room was nice and clean, I will recommend this hotel to anyone

I had a reservation for 2 rooms for 2 days. My co-worker and I was attending a conference in San Jose. The reservations were all screwed up. The rooms were on sale for $285.87 a night. We stayed 2 nights and I was charged over $1700 on my corporate credit card. I will NEVER, EVER, use HOTELS.COM or ORBIT for any service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The history and beauty makes the hotel very special.

Could be a great hotel if renovated & properly staffed. No valet, bellmen, conceirge or adequate front desk staff. Dated furnishings.

The hotel has class and charm. I only wish that I was planning a major social event like wedding so that I could use their facilities. The staff went out of their way. The room had the minor touches that demonstrate attention to customer comfort

We enjoyed out short stay at Hayes Mansion. The kids loved the pool, we ordered drinks poolside. The restaurant was excellent. Our rooms were very comfortable.

I had to cancel a reservation at a nearby 4-star hotel because it was in bad condition and smelled like mildew, so I drove over to Dolce Hayes Mansion to see if it was a legit 4-star. It was! The staff at Dolce Hayes are very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the beds are really comfortable. I enjoyed food and drinks at the on-site restaurant and both were delicious. The happy hour and regular menu have plenty of options, all of which are affordable ($6 for sliders on the Happy Hour menu, but only $9 on the regular menu). There's outdoor seating that includes tables and chairs or something a little more comfortable like couches and coffee tables. The ambiance is peaceful.

I have stayed there a few times. Never a bad time and everything works out. Especially no extra charge for parking. Food is good and it is easy to get around to see a lot of San José.

We got married here years ago, so we were excited about our stay. Room was ok, but the shower was clogged. We were on a schedule and did not have time to wait until it was fixed. I called to see if we could at least get a breakfast comp for the inconvenience and I was told it's not an inconvenience and they will fix it. I thought that was weird, because a tub full of dirty water around my feet is definitely an inconvenience. In the end they did comp breakfast, but the stay was already a bad experience.

The room was very beautiful. It was spacious and elegant. The entire mansion has the same elegant decor and feel. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed staying at the Mansion. A little tricky to find, but after that all went well.

Dolce Hayes is a beautiful property, we were there for a wedding and the entire setting of the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were quite tiny however. They had everything you need are good for the price, just don't expect any extra breathing room. Also, the two staff members I encountered while there were a bit brass, not very friendly, and one was a bit rude and disgruntled. Hotel is in the middle of a suburban area, make sure you have a car.

We delebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a nice stay! Would have bern happy if they gave us complimentary breakfadt meals!

We were greeted by the by very friendly staff. We traveled with our grandson and he was under 2 years. They provided us a crib and were prompt in delivering it to the room. The rooms were quiet and peaceful. It was a much needed relaxing weekend.

We stayed here over night for 4th of July. We enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and Victorian decor. Our room was clean and spacious. Although we had free wi-fi, the wi-fi did not work or was very slow.

We stayed here out last night of a week long vacation through Wine Country, Yosemite, and then down PCH1 from Carmel to Capitola. This was very convenient to the SJC San Jose airport. It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

Notice placed under door concerning Prom being held very considerate. What a wonderful place to celebrate special events. Outdoor patio very inviting. Nice to have tall heaters when it gets cooler. Next trip hope to have time to explore the park across the way. Hadn't realized underground parking until our most recent trip. Everyone cordial and helpful. Looking forward to our next trip. I hope more people take the opportunity to stay at Hayes Mansion. History surrounds you staying here...relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. 3 couples racing a trail race in Almaden Park. Loved the hotel, they were very accommodating by switching us rooms to the back building since the building we were originally staying in had a wedding and they would be playing music very late the evening we had to get to bed early! Very comfortable, clean room. Cant beat the price for such awesome accommodation. Definitely will be back!

I liked the history of this hotel and the grounds were beautiful. It was a good value. I stayed there one night, as I needed to fly out of the San Jose airport the next morning, and it ended up being a $40 cab ride to the airport, so not close at all. BUT, definitely a fun and unique place to stay. Somehow for an amazing price I got a one-bedroom suite, which was outdated (I believe they said renovations were last done in the 90s) but still comfortable and just next to a quiet pool. Room service was solid, too.
