This is a gorgeous place to stay. It's within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and all the amenities of lovely Kamares. Maria picked us up from the nearby port and dropped us back there for our ferry. We didn't want to leave! Our room was beautiful, with all sorts of special details, including a sweet little niche in the wall with book in it. A lot of love and thought has clearly gone into everything here. We had a beautiful terrace, with a view of the mountains, the sea and Maria's gorgeous garden. We are planning to return in 2018. Sifnos is amazing! Eyharisto poly, Maria, family and staff!
The place is clean and quiet with a beautiful balcony that had a view of the bay and a very helpful onsite manager. The location is perfect with a 12 min walk to the ferry and shorter walk to many restaurants. We loved all the restaurants, bakeries and beaches that are a short walk from this newer place. The shower and shower curtain were a little tricky to use without getting things wet and the TV did not have any english speaking channels.
Amazing place to stay, wonderful host Maria, who makes you feel at home. The location is just perfect with a ten minute walk to the beach and town with many eating options. Amazing view over Kamares Bay watch all the ferries coming and going.
The collection of individual rooms overlooking the bay and port of Kamares are equidistant(200m) from the town/port and the attractive beach, which is surprisingly clean considering the busy ferry terminal. There is a good bus service from Kamares to Appollonia, the capital and to Artemonas, one of the 3 villages making up the capital where the bus terminal is situated and from which buses go out throughout Sifnos. The view from the upper level rooms is superb featuring the town/port and beach plus wonderful sunsets from the balcony. The rooms are comfortable and are equipped with air condition - vital even in September(14 days of sun and 26/7 degrees.) Every day Maria provides a bountiful breakfast featuring home-made jams from the garden.
Had a great 4 days here, Maria is a great host, unobtrusive but always available. The rooms look out onto the valley behind Kamares beach and you can see horses, donkeys and hear crickets etc while sitting on your terrace. Maria's tortoises also make an occasional pass and some chopped fruit is welcome! The room is cleaned every day and clean towels provided. Breakfast items also included with fresh cut bread, juice, cake and tea/coffee in the room. While we were staying, we were invited to witness the blessing of an icon before it was taken to one of the many churches of Sifnos. A few minutes easy walk takes you to Kamares village with a choice of cafes and tavernas, or the sandy beach. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We were collected from the port with a warm welcome from the owner Maria. The hotel is a short drive or a 5 minute walk from the main port area with it's bars, restaurants and beach. The upper rooms are spacious and spotless with a balcony to the rear overlooking the valley and harbour. Breakfast can be taken here or at a seating area at the front of rooms were inquisitive kittens will join you. Fridge and coffee and tea making facilities are in the room and we were there over a Sunday when Maria laid on chickpea soup, bread and wine for lunch. Overall this is very nice place to stay with a friendly and accommodating hostess.
We picked this place for my wife's birthday vacation. The room was great and had a nice view to the bay. It was a large room well equipped and air conditioned. The hotel owner came to take us from Sifnos port and she was very nice. Even though we did not order breakfast she allowed us to share her home made bread and cookies every morning. We had a pleasant stay and a compleat relax, we highly recommend this place.
The paradise in Sifnos!!! María is the best Hostess!!!! The breakfast in the room the King bed, Maria'a laught..., her information about the island, beachs, restaurantes..., the Bbq that her make the sundays without cost for customerr
Maria the owner was lovely and couldn't do enough for us! The balcony of our room, on the top level of the settlement, sadly had no shade and restricted our use of it. The traditional furniture was also a bit too dark for our tastes. However we still really enjoyed our stay.
Always a great pleasure to stay in Sifnos at Sifnaika Konakia for this seventh time ! Maria is so nice for her guests. We feel member of a family and really at home. Sifnos is our second country now for years
