We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights as part of a vacation. The hotel does not meet 4 star expectations. Amenities were lacking, and other facilities were minimal. OK as a stopover but not more than that.
Really nice staff for the reception and the diner, but at the bar there was a girl and the manager how both very cranky. No thank you ore please and they don't know how to smile. The bar close at 12 o'clock, now you can make some money and you don't want to. Rooms are great, really good big bed and great shower. Breakfast and diner taste great.
The hotel was great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is near the big grocery store which is very convenient for travelers needs. However, parking is limited in front of the hotel. If the said parking is full, parking is in the other side of the street which is a bit far from the hotel.
A very pleasant stopover at this modern bright hotel, front of house very accommodating. Room were exceptional clean and modern..And great choice of breakfast..And lots of free parking on front of hotel.
This hotel has everything that you need: Large rooms and bathrooms, free Wi-fi, bars, and breakfast. It is located across the street from the bus depot, train station, and taxi stand. The Duomo is a 15 minute walk. There is a self-service laundry place just around the corner, which is very convenient.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights.. Great as a stopover, super friendly and accommodating staff... Our room was perfectly clean and nicely decorated... As we travelled by car there was free and easy parking on front of hotel.. Good breakfast and great value for money.. We will return again👍
Functional would be about the only adjective I could possibly use. It's strictly average. Nothing to really crib about, and nothing to mark it out as something I would possibly return to. The food was abysmal....and that's being generous. If that was a sample of the famed Tuscany fare then I would worry. The sheets were clean and the bathroom....well, functional!
Stayed here 4 nights as part of a Cosmos tour. Room was dated, with old dark furniture (nothing like the photos on their website) and walls were dirty, and the safe in the room was mobile it wasn't fixed to anything, you could pick it up and walk around with it. (see photos), this was not unique to our room. Food was poor and repetitive and service in the restaurant was slow. We thought we were going to a 4* spa hotel in the Tuscany hills with a beautiful view and swimming pool and this is what we got. The hotel had free Wi-Fi in the rooms and as a base it was OK for visiting Florence, Pisa and Verona etc. Not many positives to say for this hotel.
I think I'm being generous giving it 2 stars. Stayed here 4 nights as part of a Cosmos tour. Seemingly the hotel had just opened for the season that day! Polish barmaid/ waitress was lovely but reception staff were not. Room was dated, with old dark furniture (nothing like the photos on their website) and walls were dirty. Would have thought they could have given it a coat of paint over the winter! Food was awful. Like slops. We thought we were going to a 4* spa hotel in the Tuscany hills so elected not to go on the optional first excursion. Big mistake. Absolutely nothing to do in Poggibonsi, apart from wandering round the COOP supermarket. No place for lunch apart from a small cafe opposite the supermarket. Couldn't see any outdoor seating area at hotel so phoned reception to ask if they had one. We were told "No. It is too cold!" then the phone was put down on us. As we are Scottish we did not find the weather to be cold at all and surely it is up to the guest to decide whether or not it is too cold to sit outside? The hotel did have free wifi in the rooms and as a base it was fine for visiting Florence, Pisa and Verona etc. but I'm afraid these are the only plus things I can find to say about this hotel. The rest of the hotels on the Cosmos tour were fine, and the tour itself was absolutely fabulous.
Colazione appena discreta.
