Hotel is in a great location to walk to Pub Street and the markets. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Staff helpful in booking trip to Angkor Wat and other tours, list in room of all the options and prices. Free pick up from the airport in a tuk tuk. Pool small but lovely and roof top bar to watch the sunset. Hotel arranged all tuk tuk for tours and we had the same driver each day which was great.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It was adequate. The breakfast was good and staff were very helpful and friendly. Tuk Tuk drivers are just outside are very handy. We walked in to the Markets and also Pub Street a few times but caught a Tuk Tuk back later at night. Rooms were a good size and cleaned daily. Just a few minor things needed attention in my opinion. Our shower curtain needed changing due to mould and my sheet was ripped. The beds were comfortable. This hotel has a lift so that was good. While we were staying there was a ceremony next door that went on for the whole of our stay. It was very noisy but a traditional funeral so we accepted the situation. Close to restaurants and shops.

Soria Moria Boutique Hotel was a nice find for our family on our family vacation to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The rooms were a little larger than expected and the decor was clean and comforting. I must give high credit to the staff, especially the front desk, who were always willing to break large bills for smaller bills, offer travel advice, and serve a nice breakfast. The staff also helped us make reservations to dinner shows, as well as restaurants. Some small plumbing fixture problems in our bath, but we nothing to prevent us from fully using the services. The pool is small, but welcome after a long day in the hot sun.

When we stayed for four nights in early July 2017, the future of the Soria Moria was uncertain. We chose it partly because it has been run as a not-for-profit hotel to train Cambodians in hospitality, so we accepted all the niggling little things that needed fixing. Overall, it was good value, a convenient location for central Siem Reap and generally fine, with pleasant staff. The buffet breakfasts were basic, though the cheap-drinks-and-tapas night was exceptional, with well-made cocktails and delicious tapas leaving us wondering how they managed to do them at US$1 each. I'd like to give it more stars but - as a guide to current travellers - that might not now be fair. By my books, average is OK.

Soria Moria has everything you want: It is located in a beautiful house, it has a helpful receptionist, good food in the fusion restaurant, a little, but clean pool and a good location. You should really try the "one dollar night" on wednesdays. you get fusion-tapas for one dollar each! The only thing I cannot recommend is the "thai-massage", it was not good at all. The girls didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Have only eaten here. Wednesday nights tapas promotion night. High season need to book table in advance. Great tapas menu many dishes. Great value drinks and food . Service good. Highly recommended for really good night out and so cheap.

We chose the hotel based off a recommendation and stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is quite comfortable though the facilities were basic. We had booked a double bedroom, the room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was pretty much the same everyday, it would've been nicer to have more variety. The pool is small and we didn't see many people hanging out there. We didn't really use the rooftop jacuzzi either which is a bit dated. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped to book a tuk tuk for us to tour the temples. The hotel is located close enough to Pub street and the Night market to walk. On the whole, the stay was okay.

The room was spacious and location fantastic but attention to detail very much lacking. Our aircon failed night 1 causing us to have a very poor nights sleep in a very humid room. The aircon was apprently fixed after we reported it the next morning, but carked it again night two. Fixed a third time (this time it stayed fixed) but no attempt to offer a complimentary drink or anything as compensation. Only one wine glass in our room for two. No hand towels or bath mat provided. Other friends staying in same hotel had issues as well... one with no shower curtain over bath causing water to go everywhere. Another had no hot water. Pool water looked very unappealing so chose not to swim. Cheap hotel in a good location yes but I'd rather pay more for a bit more comfort and attention to detail.

The Soria Maria is a nice hotel for a reasonable price in Siem Reap. The main draw for us was that Soria has strong ties to the community and supports good causes within Cambodia. This is evident throughout the hotel and is really commendable. The location of the hotel is good- a 10 minute, pleasant walk along the river to pub street, the old market and most of the main restaurants in town. It's far enough away to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to feel part of the action. The staff were excellent. Extremely helpful in all respects and very friendly. They arranged a guided two day tour of Angkor Wat for us and both the driver and guide were great. Every hotel in the area takes commission from guides and drivers, but we were reliably informed that Soria takes far less than most hotels, which again is evidence of their good work. The hotel itself was good for the money. The pool was small but good for cooling off and empty most of the time (and you don't really come to Siem Reap to swim!). The rooms were spacious and clean with good showers. The only downside was that the aircon wasn't fantastic but would eventually cool the room to a good temperature. Please don't think you'll be too hot- it was 38C during our stay and we slept perfectly fine. It just takes time to work. The upstairs bar and hot tub are nice additions but are a little dated. Breakfasts were fine. A nice selection of fruits, drinks, breads plus a cooked option. Very reasonable for the price. All in all, this is a nice hotel and very good for the price. It also does some great work, so it's good to support it. Would fully recommend.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in May. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in helping us organise activities including tuk tuk drivers for the Angkor temples, silk farm and pottery excursions. The room was massive, but the aircon fairly weak. Wifi throughout the hotel was good and free toiletries and tea and coffee. The roof hot tub is nice, we sat watching gekkos and a thunderstorm in the distance. The pool is small but nice and in the entire time we were there we were the only ones in it. Good location, easy walk to the main shops/ market area. For the price this hotel is excellent. Thanks I&T
