The place was very nice and clean ! If you want to go to the Temples rent the care from the hotel with a driver and guide and for three days they take you all the temples in a nice comfortable car ! Overall it was a good trip would someday go back again! the hotel management and all the other employees were super nice and friendly and always ready to help with everything!
I stayed at the wonderful Frangipani villa hotel at the beginning of February as part as a group honeymoon for a friends wedding.... The hotel was spotless and had a great atmosphere when you walk in. A lady was playing the xylophone and the music was so relaxing. When we first arrived it was around 9:00. A Group of nearly 40 went down to the restaurant at around 9:30 not knowing it closes at 10. The service was slow but understandable as they wasn’t expecting us and we apologise for that. Other than the slow service in the restaurant in the food was amazing just what we all needed. The room was spotless also and very spacious. Felt like a queen with a huge 4 poster bed which was the most comfortable bed I had slept in, in a while. I was fortunate to have a balcony looking over the pool area. Only down side to the room was that bathroom which didn’t have a shower only a bath and the water was cold. Wouldn’t have been a problem if there was a shower. However it still did the trick so can’t fault it too much. The hotel is very central to everywhere, a little supermarket across the road, tuktuks straight outside ready to take you to pubstreet (if you’re a party animal like me I strongly suggest taking a visit or 5) or the market. Overall I would recommend anyone traveling and staying in Siem Reap to stay in Frangipani it’s fantastic value for money and you won’t be disappoint. I will be returning in the future, hopefully! 😁
I would recommend this place only if you are looking for a clean place with standard service. This is not a fancy place, but it is a comfy place. The hotel offers complementary breakfast with plenty food options.
We enjoyed our 4 nights here in February. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and was great - buffet in addition to made to order Pho and eggs. It is near the river and a short walk to Pub street and area. Tuk Turks are cheap and friendly and widely available. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We were there over Chinese New Year so busy with lots of large families - but our room was still quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend the Spa next door!
stayed here with a group from the uk of 37 people the rooms were nice and the food was too. breakfast was great with eggs being cooked in front of you to your liking. the pool area was nice with a Jacuzzi
While this hotel may not be the most luxurious the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean as are the amenities. It is within walking distance of lots of very good restaurants and pub street. They also have a conference room which we used during our stay making our fieldcourse very effective.
During the recent trip to South-East Asia we stayed in four hotels, and the room in the Frangipani Villa Hotel in Siem Reap was the cheapest of the four - but somehow I became very fond of this hotel. Definitely the best value! Plus a very friendly and personal service. The hotel is situated at the other side of the river from the centre of the town, so there is not so much traffic and people, but you can still walk to the very centre in perhaps 10 or 15 minutes, or you can take a tuk-tuk - they are constantly hanging out in front of the hotel. To the left from the hotel there are some nice places to eat on the same street, and there is a wonderful small coffee-place at perhaps 100 metres from the hotel. There is also a decent shop, just a little bit to the right from the hotel's front door. We got a free upgrade to a better room than we had booked, that was a nice surprise. The small pool area in the back garden is very nice, but it totally depends on the other guests that you happen to share it with. We were lucky to have the pool area just for ourselves on some evenings, and of course, it was a bliss compared with some other times when there were some noisy families or groups of friends who had already enjoyed too many cheap drinks. :)
A decent, clean 3* hotel. Friendly staff. Location okay, nothing much in the walking vicinity but a short tuk tuk ride away from buzzing life. Rooms large but bathroom very much in need of tlc. Designed as wet room, well they achieved that alright! No view. Pool area ok, not crowded when we used it. They have happy hours for drinks every day but not at the pool bar, only at the bar at the front of the hotel. Totally missing a trick. We would have ordered more drinks if we didn't have to get dry and dressed to get them. Breakfast very average. Service poor as not enough staff at times to show people to tables, clear tables, offer coffee and refill hot plates. Just needs a few tweaks to get it up to the next level.
Pretty centralised hotel ,within walking distance or tuk tuk ride to wherever you need to go in Siem Reap . The hotel itself is very spacious set back off the street with gardens, massage rooms large foyer area ,and a very nice pool area at the back ,nice size pool set within a garden surround ,very relaxing . The breakfast room also serves as a restaurant in the evening with a good choice of local dishes. The rooms are large with separate bath/shower and air condition ,large beds too . Friendly staff at reception will help you with local knowledge ,and are quick with hotel problems if anything arises .Would stay here again no problem . The tuk tuks outside will take you to the main drag ,pub street for about $2 or its a 15-20 min stroll .
We were booked into a superior room, and that does describe the size (4 poster bed, bathtub) but the view was non-existent which is a shame, as some smaller rooms had balconies overlooking the lovely pool. One night we were short or hot water almost completely. Bed very creaky, but the flowers were a nice touch on top and cleaners very good each day. The food in the restaurant took over an hour to arrive when ordered, when in the restaurant and room service. However drinks round the pool was much quicker. The lobby and pool were aesthetically pleasing and the hotel cater well to trips to Angkor Wat nearby, providing an amazing tour guide. The let down was at the end of the trip they charged our whole group incorrectly for the rooms and then didn’t like to be questioned on it when they had no proof of payments on the system or paper.
