We had a very nice stay in this hotel. The staff was attentive the rooms comfortable and clean, the included breakfast had Asian and western choices and it was very reasonable, about $35/night for a 2 bedded room for 2.
This is my second time to Phnom Penh and I wished I New about this place last time. The manager went out off her way to meet all our needs when asked. The rooms were clean and had everything thing you needed. The reception staff were helpful and nothing was a problem. We had a group of 8 and they opened the pool side bar earlier to meet our needs. I have not met more friendlier and helpful staff any where. The location was fantastic opposite the markets and walking distance to the palace. Staff spoke fantastic English and made our stay so enjoyable.
I always come this hotel every years, total 6 years. About three years everything was fine including services , room , massages, breakfast and so on, but now completely bad breakfast less, service not survival and so on
We had three nights here. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a buffet breakfast and an inviting pol to cool down in. We had two rooms and one had a noisy air conditioner. A five minute yuk yuk ride had us at the night market and there is a mini mart across the road. The location was great as we didn't have to travel far for food, drink or entertainment.
The hotel is a little tired but you can’t expect a lot more for a three star hotel. The rooms are spacious and well presented. The beds were extremely hard, The pool is large and plenty of deck chairs to laze around. You can order food or drinks around the pool. The free breakfast is OK and there was sufficient variety for all. The location is great and easy to get to local markets and pub Street.
I have been coming to SR and staying here for over a year with team trips. Each and every time without fail Roem Sopheak has greeted myself and the others in my group with a big smile and incredible help. This last time he was able to help me and my team find a great last minute temple to visit for sunset. I would recommend this hotel just so you can meet and become friends with a great Khmer person.
I found this hotel a great place to be It was close to all amenities< friendly staff, good food, great breakfast My only compliant was the beds where very hard. Pool side did not have very many chairs for all the guest. All in all a great place to stay for your money.
My room was on the second floor and the window view was another building about 10 feet away. From the start, there was a problem with the AC staying on and that was never completely resolved; my last night here I had to get out of bed four times to turn the AC back on because I was so hot I woke up. There was not a writing instrument of any kind in the room. The last day I was here, I had to reuse a washcloth because no fresh ones had been left, nor was the bath mat replaced. It did not help that it was in the high 90s the three days I was here, and the electric went out in the entire province for several hours the first day. Somehow, they managed to serve the breakfast buffet in spite of that. The buffet was adequate, and the meals I purchased in the restaurant were quite good, so that’s a plus. I had anticipated a swim after a hot day out and about, but the pool was not chlorinated and was so murky you could hardly see the steps into the water. No way I was getting in that! There have to be better places in Siem Reap, and I would advise staying in one of them.
As a tour guide, I arrived at the hotel because it presented itself as 4 stars. The hotel itself is in a good location and is cheap but between it and 4 stars there is no connection. The hotel is old and quite neglected and dirty. I booked three nights for the group but left it after one night and were very disappointed.
My wife and I stayed here last night the 14th March. Booking was made via Citrus travel and upon arrival we were told the room booked was unavailable due to faulty air con, the Hotel was otherwise full and we were to be moved to an Alternative, this was unacceptable to us and only after a ‘frank exchange of views’ a room was suddenly found. Other travellers we were with were also moved elsewhere. The Hotel was clean and room was comfortable and had a rooftop pool and Bar, however the service, whilst polite, was very very slow and it took more than 35 minutes to get a cocktail. I also cut my foot on broken glass in the pool, when reported the staff apologised but were indifferent and continued to serve beer in glasses to a party in the pool.. disappointing !
