This was an old Cambodian style bungalow which has been refurbished to modern standards.Peaceful,Clean and very homely. It has a little pool for a summer dip set amidst a frangipani garden and a cozy walkway from the entrance.I call this a Home Resort for its uniqueness and around it are small & decent eating places, travel agents,et all that a traveller needs. Its about 100 meters from the main road which keeps the sound & dust away but at the same time is walkable if you want to evaluate the new commercial side of this ancient temple town also its a relaxing 300-400 metre walk from Pub Street & the happening areas for night time adventures.
I stayed here for four days while visiting the temples. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and varied, room was clean and comfortable, and I loved having the pool (though I didn't take advantage of it as much as I would have liked). I was there during low/hot season and got upgraded at no cost to a larger room on the top floor -- a very nice gesture of the manager on duty. The one drawback was that the room's large size made it a touch hard to cool with the one air conditioner, at least during the day. It just didn't get very chill, which is what I sometimes wanted.
The hotel is an older style one with a grand entrance and rooms that are large, simple but perfectly adequate. Breakfast is quite good - good range of food, well prepared, caters for different tastes. The swimming pool is very nice - great surroundings. Good to swim in when you come back from touring. Great location - within walking distance of the night market and surrounding shops. The staff were very good - friendly, helpful and pleasant.
Great location. Stayed at The Frangipani and Visited Angkor Wat on a cycle tour. Close to pub street with lots of bars and restaurants. The staff was so friendly and everything they do was with a smile. Clean and comfortable rooms and great breakfast in the mornings. I would recommend staying here if you are in Siem Reap.
2 days Pleasant stay @ frangipani hotel Sime reap . Friendly staffs good attitude. Rooms are neat and clean. Restaurant service available in hotels . Hotel will be arrange transfer for Angkor wat visit
Me and my friends stayed there for 2 Nights. It's located in good location walking distance to Night Market, Made In Cambodia Market and Bar Street.Breakfast is good but Air con was not enough cold and very hot in our bed rooms .
Our room was on the 3rd floor and was very quiet even though there were a lot of folks at the hotel. The room was clean, the king size bed comfortable and the bathroom had some space to put out your things. The only negative was the AC which was just adequate. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of items and an omelet bar where the cook would make a nice omelet to order. The pool was a fine place to relax after a hot day seeing the sights. The staff were great, pleasant and and helpful, especially the front desk staff who always asked how you were doing. The hotel is located on a busy street just a block from the river and is very central. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance but many are closed during the New Year holiday. We had a great time here at Khmer New Year. Good value for the money.
Pros: the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very good though the food needed to be covered better to stop flies landing on it. Our room was quiet. There were security guards out front each nice which was comforting and we were able to walk or take a very short tuk tuk ride to pub street. Cons: Our AC was NOT strong enough it was around 105 degrees during the day and we were so hot sleeping at night even though our AC unit was turned all the way up. There was also a lot of mold on the shower curtain. It needed to be replace. We got laundry done while at the hotel and our clothes were only kind of clean.
My husband and I stayed at the Frangipani for a week in April 2017. The property is bright and breezy, and the garden/pool area is great for relaxing, swimming, or having lunch. The restaurant makes good cocktails and decent food. The free breakfast is great. The staff was all helpful and very nice. They didn’t push or try to oversell anything. We tipped here and there but didn’t feel pressure to do it. The omelette lady in particular is great, so is the manager who’s always practicing his Chinese. No problems with the room, but probably worth paying a bit more for a room with a better view. The value was great anyway. It’s a few minutes walk from the Frangipani to Bar Street and the Night Market, but it’s a nice walk. You can tuk tuk for two bucks, but if you plan to walk it, download a map first. Once you cross the river into the older part of town, the streets get a bit twisty. There are a few routes you can take, and all of them are interesting. Take the north bridge across the river to check out the King’s Residence, or even better the bat trees in the Royal Gardens. You can see the giant fruit bats easily in the trees that border the sidewalk, no need to go anywhere special. The action’s best at sunset. If not looking for bats, take the south bridge; it’s faster.
Stayed as a couple for 3 nights. The hotel provided a pick up and drop off service to the airport. The room had aircon and a hot shower. The pool area was clean and relaxing. There was a good choice of buffet breakfast and the I made friends with the in-house cat.
