As a member of Life @ Telford Whitehouse I recently booked a personal training session with Dan, a member of the leisure team, it was a great experience, lots of helpful advice and encouragement, it has really made a difference to me, I would highly recommend anyone to give it a try. Karen M.

I went to a sportsmans event 0n the 22/03/18 the food was absolutely terrible - no one could eat the soup - as the speaker said - the cook - defiantly not a chef - had put some soup into the salt container and the main course was not much better.

For the third year running our team stayed at this hotel as it's convenient for our venue (Telford International Centre), has good facilities, the rooms are comfortable, food good and the staff very accommodating. The restaurant staff were great, putting up with our 2 x 12 person parties and coping very well with big smiley faces. On the first night my room's power kept tripping but fortunately there was a spare room not too far away so the move at 02.00 AM wasn't much of an issue. I would say that the prices do shoot up as events get closer (something I believe all hotels should be banned from doing) so it would pay to book as soon as you can.

1st room we were given was FREEZING and I mean freezing. Window was coming away from frame and blowing curtains about. Thought if we turned heating on (which had been switched off on coldest day of the year) we could pack towels etc round window but still freezing 3 hours later. Staff on reception very helpful & gave us another room.(Again heating off but it did warm up after a while), Next morning came down to breakfast & had to sit with our coats on in the restaurant. We were told heating had packed up! If it had not been so cold it might have been a different experience? Reception area where we paid our bill was lovely and warm!!!

We booked the hotel with a group of friends. Was amazing value, great facilities, spacious rooms, brilliant and friendly customer service...ate at the hotel and food is lovely! Booked again as sooooo good. Special shout out to Ellie who plated up chocolate cake as a surprise after dinner as we were celebrating birthdays. A very thoughtful gesture and was blimming lovely too! Cannot fault this hotel at all 💜💜💜

ok for budget hotel nothing really to write home about. the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, the food was basic and nothing special, the leisure centre and pool looked good but i didn't have time to use them

This hotel is very budget. Our room needed a bit of TLC . Nice to have 2 chairs to sit on with a small table to put tea and coffee on which was much appreciated as you don't always just want to sit on the bed in outdoor clothing. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The bedding had a few stains on so we rang reception and it was changed in 5 minutes no problem. The evening meal had to be pre ordered and not a fine dining experience I must say. The fish was solid/ frozen and had to go back to be changed. The pudding they ran out of after being pre ordered don't understand that at all. My friend decided to have a bath and it creaked that much she decided against it. The breakfast however was brilliant everything you could wish for and plenty of tea and coffee wish we could have had that for evening meal instead.

We booked a National Holidays weekend break to Lichfield and Shrewsbury - all done on line, quick and easy. The coach arrived on time and we had a quick and safe journey. We had plenty of time in both Lichfield and Shrewsbury and enjoyed looking round. Overnight was at the Telford Whitehouse Hotel. We were swiftly checked in and settled in a very comfortable room. Everything we needed - all very clean. Good hospitality tray, efficient wi-fi. Dinner and breakfast were included. We were on a special set menu and had to pre-order dinner, but absolutely no problem with that as the choice was good. The food was well cooked and there was plenty of it. Coffee and a mint were thrown in. Breakfast was an unlimited buffet. Once again, all well cooked, plenty of choice, and everything kept replenished and hot/cold as appropriate. Tea and coffee were kept topped up by attentive staff. All the staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a really enjoyable weekend, and we don't know how National Holidays do it for the price.

Could not fault this hotel it in any way. Food was top notch the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Worth it for the leisure facilities they are excellent. Would definitely recomend.

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights whilst on a business trip. Well where do I start?! The room appeared clean on the surface but one evening moving back the bedspread I noticed questionable stains all over it, I left a note for the cleaners to change this and it was still there the next day. Hideous. Talking of room cleaners, my room was cleaned one morning and my wet towel was taken out of the bathroom where I had left it and for some unknown reason left on my freshly made bed- still sopping wet. The hot water is scalding and one evening there didn’t seem to be any cold water coming out of the bath taps. There were rips in the duvet cover too. Friday and Saturday night staying here was exceptionally noisy, the walls are paper thin. All week I could hear people snoring, making telephone calls- word for word and even stirring their cups after making a hot drink. But, come the the weekend the walls seemed even thinner. Drunk people roaming the halls at 2am, running around and screaming despite complaints to staff at the front desk the behaviour continued until at least 4am. Despicable really. This wasn’t even on football match days, I dread to think how loud it would be then. With regards to breakfast there was a reasonable spread, however some of the fruit was off and had a “fizzy” taste to it. The breakfast staff however, were very attentive and helpful. Although it did take 35 minutes for two poached eggs to arrive! At reception the desk is often unmanned, there is no bell to contact a member of staff in the back room and more often than not a note left saying “they’d be back soon”. In summery, the walls are like tracing paper and you can hear every word from the room next door, despite not having an adjoining room and the bedding was filthy. The majority of the staff were friendly though when you could find them.
