I have visited the hotel with my hubby in the past and enjoyed it so returned with 2 friends on a Wowcher deal inc bed, breakfast, dinner, spa treatment and use of spa facilities. Our rooms were clean, warm and comfortable with everything you could need. we enjoyed drinks in the bar where Pedro and another barman were very pleasant and helpful. Drinks are hotel prices as expected. Dinner was enjoyed by us all, service was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. All staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the spa facilities and thought our spa treatments were lovely. I had a facial and have to say that the young girl that did it was superb, friendly, chatty and professional. I felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, wish I had got her name as she really was lovely. All 3 of us enjoyed our stay and would return again.
We booked this break for our friends 50t birthday. We got such a good deal that we were not sure what to expect. We arrived yesterday afternoon and were checked in quickly. We had 2 twin rooms in the stable house and we were wowed by the size of the room and the bathroom. I have to say it is one of the comfiest beds I have slept in. We used the spa in afternoon and had a lovely time. We had a 2 course meal as part of our package and the food was delicious. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and yes they were not cheap but the price we would have expected. We had a lovely breakfast this morning loads of choice and all freshly cooked then we went for our spa treatments. I had a facial which was lovely. We then checked out but could not bear to leave so sat drinking coffee in the relaxing bar. The staff are super friendly here and we will certainly be returning very soon.
My partner and I stayed at the Albrighton Hall Hotel for a valentines weekend away. As a vegan we have dined at many restaurants and only ever been 'satisfied' with the menu and the service as surprisingly not all places even know what a vegan is (shocking i know when working in the food industry). After an incredible massage we decided to grab some lunch only to find there were no labeled VE (vegan) options on the lunch menu, I asked a member off staff behind the bar what options there were for me and that was when i was introduced to Ellie. Wow. She went through the whole menu with me and asked the chef to make multiple snacks for me that weren't even on the menu (thank you to whoever the head chef was that day 10/2/18). We indulged on freshly made hummus, lovely breads (a sweet bread that we are still trying to find as it was incredible) freshly made chips that were specifically cut and cooked in a separate oven so they wouldn't be cooked in oil that had also cooked meat according to Ellie and some very herby olives and some balsamic vinegar and oil. Even my meat eating boyfriend said that it as one of the best lunches we'd had in a long time. Ellie then went trough the dinner menu whilst at lunch and gave me lots of tasty dishes to choose from but promised she would ask the head chef when he/she started their shift what 'special' meal he/she could prepare and would call our room when she knew. Dinner was fantastic! I had a pea risotto and mushroom soup that was so good we took some home to reheat! The whole weekend was amazing but made extra special by the caring and lovely Ellie who we won't forget (we won't forget those fresh cut chips either!)
I have stayed at the hotel for the last 8 years. Really poor experience for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was awful. 3 bowls of porridge sent back. Dreadful. Ended up going to Tescos to have breakfast for the 2 nights I was there! No bottled water in the room, Cold water tap (room 4) didn't work. Lots of issues raised by other people I was with, evening meals, lunch.... Unless things improve, I will be avoiding.
Stayed one night for our wedding anniversary. We booked a spa package. We couldn’t check in till 2 but wasn’t a problem as we could use the spa facilities all day. We had forgotten to book our treatments and only realised the day before. The staff were excellent and sorted this out for us so we were still able to choose and get our treatment. We had a large room with a huge bathroom. All very nice. There was a three course evening meal included and it was some of the nicest food we’ve eaten.
If you are on a budget the Restaurant can be quite pricey, but the food is good. They do have a bar menu with a good selection which might suit the budget better. Lovely hotel with excellent staff and service. It is a bit isolated. I have stayed here on previous occasions and would do so again. This was on a business trip.
This is our second stay at this hotel, and we love it every time. Everything about it is fantastic. The hotel setting is stunning. Our room was clean and the leisure facilities are excellent. And not to mention the staff who seem to work really hard to make your stay enjoyable. Thankyou Mercure Albrighton. We will be back!
This is a beautiful hotel on stunning grounds. It has all you need and the rooms are spacious and well equipped with all the facilities you could need. The bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was great but and extra charge which was a bit pricey for me. But otherwise it's a great place to spend a few days in the summer.
The location is good we're vegan - the options were pretty poor... our room was nice but cold...not enough heating the spa is very nice but the pool was cold the staff were very helpful but one or two judgmental looks I thought because we were a little differently dressed probably wouldn't go again
Fantastic. Great value for money. Back neck and shoulder massage, relaxation room, pool , jacuzzi, sauna , steamroom, afternoon cream tea and prosecco for £30. The staff were really pleasant. second time I have had this package really relaxing and enjoyable will go back again.Thank you
