Large, comfortable & clean rooms.Decent breakfast included. Pleasant staff. Within reasonable distance from town (if you have a car). Visiting Shrewsbury with family, we took a room for 3 people. The main bed was very large and confy and the sofa bed was good. Highly recommended
For a business trip this hotel was ideal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were large, clean and functional. It was conveniently located just off the motorway with free parking and was easy enough to find.
It is handy location close to M54 for Shrewsbury but that's about it. There is a pub nearby for an evening meal The Peacock - look elsewhere! The evening food at HI looked I inviting and the breakfast while included is distinctly low average but you get what you pay for. Slept OK but the nearby road was noisy - ask for a room facing the car park
Stayed for one night in September 2017. Arrived late but this was not a problem. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast fresh and plentiful.checkout process was simple and effective.
Stayed at the Prince Rupert hotel back in 2005 and remember getting hopelessly lost searching for this accommodation in the centre of town. The Holiday Inn hotel is on the outskirts of the town and easy to find. It is modern so don't expect to see a knight's armour on parade in the lounge. Bizarrely it is on an industrial estate but this posed no problems. Access to the Abbey Foregate car park for the town centre (walk over the English bridge and a bit of a climb to the town centre - 10 to 15 minutes ) is easy (car park is 2 miles away) which is free after 6pm. The room was large, the self service breakfast plentiful, there were no disturbances so all in all a great success.
A great Holiday Inn Express the staff really want you to have a great night sleep. Holiday Inn Express inclusive breakfast has had an upgrade recently with good quality cooked items. Really like the grab and go option
Very likeable staff in a homely atmosphere. Always keen to please, even with limited kitchen facilities. Parking very good and free. Extractor fan in bathroom very noisy and also loud sound of running water most of the time. Good to be able to open window as strong smell of some sort of chemical spray each day in the room. Shower excellent!
Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfasts very good. Car park spacious and well lit. Situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury but so close to the A5 and Percy Throwers garden centre and just 1 mile from Shrewsbury Town fc.
We arrived almost an hour later than the 10pm arrival time we had given the hotel. We were greeted very warmly by the person on duty, who also said the bar was still open, a very pleasant surprise after a stressful and tiring day. Our room was at the far end of the corridor and quiet, as we had requested. A good night' s sleep an a very good breakfast made this one of the best stays we have had at a moderately priced hotel.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay of one night. We had a wobbly toilet flush, but other than that every thing was good including our breakfast. We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again and we are happy to recommend this hotels to our friends and family.
