My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon tea. We were looked after extremely well. We had our tea in the Conservatory. A wonderful selection of cakes, dessert and clotted cream scone. Reasonably priced at £10 95. We will definitely return again.
The title says it all! A great stopover to recharge batteries! Courteous service, comfortable room and sleep quality first rate. A great place for weddings and meetings too. Pleased to report this visit as much of a pleasure as the last.
We stayed here to celebrate our second anniversary. The hotel does a package of two nights with breakfast and one dinner for £170. On the Saturday night, we went to the dining room which was a small intimate room at the front of the property. There was a wedding reception going on in the main area and a military reception in another room. The staff looked after us well throughout the evening but the food was limited to our taste. My partner had a steak which was char grilled and I had gammon. The steak was burned on the thin parts and the gammon so salty. Neither my partner or myself thought it was much to shout about. The room was lovely and clean and well presented. The shower strong and hot. We had taken milk etc with us so had plenty to drink in the room. We also took alcoholic drinks with us so didn't go short. Breakfast was superb and I thought the chef must have been a different one to the night before. The owner, Mark, was a polite cheery chap and has a real passion for his business and seems more than comfortable with his guests. We went to the Cotswolds for the day which we thoroughly enjoyed and returned late on. We decided to get a takeaway in so arranged for a couple of plates and cutlery. Mark was more than happy to arrange this. There was another function on which restricted our movement around the hotel but we're both happy with each other's company so it didn't upset us. Again breakfast was beautiful and we chatted with the owner who we both thought was a perfect host and left around 0945. The hotel is a very comfortable place with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and helpful and I would definitely recommend that you stay here. It is on the edge of an industrial estate but stands out as a beacon around new office units. Once inside, there is little doubt that you would enjoy your stay.
What can I say. Absolutely beautiful and worthwhile stay at this hotel. A little bit of a surprise when we turned up and thought we were in an industrial estate but when in the grounds there was no noise. Absolute peace and quiet. Just what we wanted. The food was of a very high standard. The staff were mainly friendly and curious. The room was fantastic. Up to date flat screen tv on the wall. All day and all night free WiFi when you wanted or needed it. We had a jacuzzi in our room and we thoroughly enjoy the experience. The room and quiet and we had such a chilled rest away. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone. We shall to coming back in the very near future. Thank you Hadley Park House hotel for a lovely break away. See you soon.
Me and my partner came here for a nice weekend away and had a really lovely time, the rooms are really nice and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty will definitely recommend to friends and family and will visit again.
I had such high hopes for this place reading the reviews unfortunately I was left very disappointed. The cleanliness of the rooms needed attention rather dusty in places and the bathroom light fitting was full of dead wasps which had clearly been there for some time given the date of our visit. Service at dinner was some of the worst I had ever received. We sat in the bar for a pre dinner drink and were not offered dinner menus as is usual. When we decided to go through for dinner we had to wait for someone to ask if we could through to the dining room. As we sat at out table we noticed a couple seated after us were offered bread so as the waitress passed we asked if we may have some bread please. To my horror we were told no ! Seeing our clearly shocked faces we were informed by the waitress that the chef tells her when you can have bread. Then we ordered wine and bottled water which was brought to our table and with out explanation plonked on the table and the waitress left. We thought when she returned she would introduce the wine open and offer a taste but no, after we placed our food order we decided to open and pour the wine ourselves. The remainder of the meal was served in virtual silence. Just a word of thanks when I passed my slate plate to the waitress as it was too heavy for her to pick up with one hand. Following our meal we waited for some time to be offered coffee and brandy but after some time decided to give up and leave the table. As no one was in the bar to serve us we left and went to our room. Unfortunately the food did nothing to counteract the poor service, any chef who can stand his risotto into a pyramid is better off calling it a warm rice salad as a risotto should be funny and creamy not dry. My burger was intact two patties which had been over cooked, I know Food Safety Regulations governs the cooking of burgers but these were very dry and not succulent at all. Breakfast was fair although the poor man who came into the dining room bang on closing time was made to feel so uncomfortable he had a quick coffee and left. It really was a lesson in how not to welcome a guest to breakfast. Accepted if you've cleared away and its twenty minutes after service has ended but when it's bang on time and everything is still on the buffet table it's was just poor service.
Stayed here recently with family. We chose this hotel as fancied a change from the usual chain hotels we have stayed in when visiting the area before. The Sat nav brought us to the middle of a housing estate then instructed us to get out and walk!. This wasn’t a good start but we found the hotel eventually. The rooms were very pleasant - modern and tasteful . We did have some issues with the online ads in restaurant menus however. The online lunch menu doesn’t show any light lunch options although these do seem to be available if you ask. One of us had a scrambled egg, bacon and avocado sandwich. The avocado layer was almost non existent -very unpleasant and tiny hard green bits mixed with a lot of something that definitely wasn’t avocado. There is a breakfast menu online which isn’t actually offered at breakfast time!!!. I assume this is as the hotel would prefer customers to go for the buffet as they were willing to provide items off when asked but these options were not offered. For dinner, one of our party chose a burger which was described as being served with wedges, another chose a different burger that didn’t say it came with wedges and so they ordered a side order of potatoes. It was annoying to find that burger then arrived with wedges on the plate and the side order was unnessary. Please can you just sort out your menu’s - on line and in the restaurant so it’s clear what is available when and what each item is served with. Keeping the breakfast buffet topped up would also help as we had to ask for a number of items that appeared to have run out and not been replaced. Despite these minor irritations we would return. The bed and breakfast was relatively good value and competes with the local chains well.
We stayed for one night 21/3/18 in room 11. Firstly don't stay in this room as the main boiler seems to be next door as you hear it start up all the time, and in the bathroom light fittings were full of dead wasps , on going to dinner and I must sat I have eaten all over the world and have never been told by a waitress you can't have a bread roll till the chef says I can give it to you what utter rubbish who does the chef think he is. The food was average at best ,and when wine and water was brought to the table it was just put down so 5 mns later we opened it ourselves, after the chees plate we Waited 10 mins to order coffee and a brandy but no one around ,so we just got up and left ..overall a very disappointing stay for what was not a cheap stay I would not recommend anybody to stay here.
My partner and I took his parents for a sparkling afternoon tea here for their wedding anniversary. I rung to book and to check that they had a gluten free option for myself and was very happy to hear that I coule have the afternoon tea completely gluten free and it was delicious as you can see from the picture (which is a sandwich down). I must say thank you to Lara who was very attentive and ensured that we were well look after during our visit. We all had a lovely time and will certainly be back soon for another afternoon tea! Thank you Hadley Park House Hotel.
Travelled to the hotel for a weekend break with my elderly Mother as a birthday treat. Both rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, everything freshly cooked to order with a very good selection. We would love to visit again!
