We needed an affordable hotel close to both of our son's. This was perfect. Located right off of Hwy 49, across for Home Depot. The room was very clean and in excellent condition. Breakfast is served each morning and is included in the rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Ellerbe Road area.
Front desk person was very rude when I called to ask a simple question before making a reservation. The call was made at 1pm-would not expect a busy front desk at that time. Check in was very inefficient and clerk was not friendly. The bathroom was not clean. The shower looked like it had not been cleaned since the last person stayed. Tub was filthy. Dirty ring around the tub and soap scum and dirt on the walls around the tub. Dirt on the bathroom floor. Some bathroom tiles cracked and missing grout between the tiles. No towel bars. Stained, grey towels. Mud clots and sunflower seed shells on the carpet, mainly around the entrance door, closet, and refrigerator. The larger and harder clumps hurt when stepped on. Single cup coffee maker and not the Keurig style. Provided with 4 packets of decaffeinated coffee and 2 tea bags of Lipton tea. Clean, well taken care of pool. Inside entrance, 3 floors, with an elevator. Very disappointed with this hotel. Note: Designated smoking area outside.
This hotel appears, from the outside, to have recently been remodeled. However, our room had a hole in the closet door and holes in the wall that had been patched but not painted. Breakfast was ok. Won't stay here again.
On the return trip from Plano we stopped over to see my granddaughter play a girls tournament soft ball game. With all of the hotel rooms booked we were fortunate to get a room at the Comfort inn. It was good value for the money with breakfast included.
it was a Clean and Comfortable hotel.Must recommend to all.We had a great time staying here with friends. The owner joinng into our group game we were playing and we had great time. The room were very clean as so it was good. Will for sure stay again.
This hotel is in desperate need of remodeling. It smells like damp mildew carpet in the hall. The elevator is like a closet. My room was on the 2nd floor so I mostly used the stairs. On the 1st day I noticed someone had spilled jelly beans on the stairs and after 5 days they were still there. The fitness room is the size of a small bathroom with one treadmill which was filthy. The AC unit is on the wall and is very loud. When I checked in my sheets had holes in them and were covered in hair. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
We stayed at this location again while passing through Shreveport on our Spring break trip this week. The hotel is located close to I-20, but far enough off the road to allow for a quiet location. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The room was quiet and comfortable. Our breakfast was quick, convenient and perfectly suitable. Recommended.
As a regular Comfort Inn visitor we were happy to find a location convenient to the Willis-Knighten Women's Center. The receptionist had a difficult time checking us in because she was reading her phone messages. There was a sock at the wall end of the sofa in our room. That says something about cleanliness. The public computer in the lobby was outdated and I was unable to bring up Google Maps because the computer needed to be updated. It was useless even for web browsing. At breakfast the juice machine was putting out highly diluted apple and orange juice. The breakfast was very basic not to mention the guests who took up an extra table by laying their rifles on it. The facility itself seemed to be in good shape.
We were traveling and wanted to stop for the night. Used TripAdvisor and found this hotel. It served its purpose but felt that the price was a little high. The room was surface clean but the carpet needed some serious attention, lots of permanent stains- looked like grease and perhaps nail polish in spots. I know time takes a toll so I'm not judging to harshly. Be was comfy and the mini fridge, coffee pot and microwave were handy. Water pressure was lacking but hot water was good. Breakfast was scarce a little after 8 but more was brought out around 9. Request a room on the backside as it sits right on the highway so lots of road noise.
My wife and I have lived in Shreveport back in the '80's when I preached in SW Shreveport. However, we have lived in Fort Worth now for more than 13 years now and it is home! So, recently when our son had a heart attack in Shreveport, he went to VA since he is a retired Seal. And we decided to make a quick during the day round trip to visit him to encourage him and plan to return when he was situated in whatever hospital for his surgery. That was on Tuesday, December 13. And as yet we had not used our points for a stay! The VA decided to move our son the next day to University Center in Shreveport -- the hospital connected with the LSU School of Medicine. Fortunately, a Sleep Inn was situated very nearby, so we reserve our stay for a couple of nites so we could support our 49 year old son before (Wed. am) and also after he came around Friday morning -- just be before we had to return to Ft. Worth where I am employed to preach each Sunday! However, the point of this review is stress the advantage of our membership with the Comfort Suites system of having a family of places in each major city like Shreveport for our convenience. Our son's surgery was success and he was released on Monday, Dec. 19. So our third overnight stay in Shreveport was this Comfort Inn @ 9420 Healthplex Dr. since it was minutes away from the home our son rented for his recovery, doctor visits, and its availability. We returned Tuesday afternoon on Dec. 20 and took our son out for supper and a great visit! There were several other locations available in Shreveport, but here is why my wife and I love our credit arrangement with all the associated options with Comfort Suites! We had great lodging, breakfast, parking and all the amenities near the different locations in Shreveport and had more time to be with our son, John Mark. We can't beat that!
