I e stayed in Buffalo many times at the Super 8 This time I needed a fridge and when I called Wyndham they said Super 8 didn't have one so I opted for days inn.
We reserved through Booking. When I pulled back the bedding, the top sheet was riddled with little holes and stains that looked like ballpoint ink that had been subsequently bleached. The air conditioning unit sounded like a loud motorcycle, impossible to sleep with it on. And our non-smoking room was located next to a smoker who smoked in front of our air conditioning unit so that her smoke entered our room. I called management to complain and was told there was nothing they could do. An uncomfortable night to be sure.
We rented two rooms...first they put us on the second floor with no elevator. We had VERY heavy suitcase and no way could we get up the many stairs. So they showed us two rooms downstairs....the first had the bathtub filled with water...it wouldn't darin! The second was so musty if would have made anyone sick. Finally ended up with two rather horrible rooms that we could tolerate. We asked to just cancel our reservation so that we could find another place, but they insisted we'd get billed for both rooms! One of the rooms that we ended up with had a toilet that would not flush as it had no attachment on the handle. We had to take the lid off the toilet and manually flush the darn thing. When the lady behind behind the desk that morning was advised of the situation, she smirked! No apology, no effort to please the customer...just a nasty smirk! I am writing the headquarters of the company in an effort to get some satisfaction from this dump. I want a refund!! It was torture to stay in this filthy place. The blankets looked like they hadn't been washed in months!
I made a non refundable, non cancellable, reservation at this hotel, thru Expedia, months in advance of my trip. 800 miles and 4 days before I was to arrive my vehicle broke down on a Friday afternoon, with no parts available until Monday. Working thru and with Expedia, this hotel has been generous enough to refund me the entire amount I paid in advance, for the room, even though they were under no obligation to do so. You don't find that kind of compassion often in this world, so if I ever have the opportunity to stay here in the future, I will, gladly.
What is it with Days Inn?? Am I just having bad luck?? I stayed at the Days Inn in Buffalo Wyoming Friday Night..All went well until the next morning..I went to check out at 6:40 a.m and get the Continental breakfast before resuming my trip and the office was closed and the door was locked..I not only didn't get breakfast but I was unable to get a copy of my bill..I thought it might be emailed to me but that hasn't happened either..I guess I need to call them..Other than that, all was well..The night clerk was polite and the room was clean..
I had made a booking for the night before the August 21 eclipse in August 2016 through Expedia at this hotel. Buffalo is about 90 miles from our planned viewing site and was already as close as we could get by booking a year in advance. We were passing through and decided to check on the reservation as others have reported problems with hotels cancelling reservations and price gouging. We discovered that Expedia had cancelled our prepaid reservation in the Hotel system on March 4 and, of course, they were fully booked for that date. I cannot say enough good things about Zee Kahn who was staffing the front desk. He lent us a phone to call Expedia when our cell did not work. He spoke repeatedly with the people at Expedia about our booking and cancellation. He found us a new booking in Gillette and made the booking for us, even though it was at a different hotel chain, when Expedia was having difficulty finding an opening. Finally, he convinced Expedia to refund the non-refundable booking that someone there had screwed up. The whole process took about 90 minutes of his and our time, throughout which he was kindness and professionalism itself. I cannot say enough good things about Zee.
I think the carpet had been recently wet cleaned bc there was an extreme dampness in the room, even bedding was damp feeling. Mix that with air conditioning and a musty smell made me very uncomfortable. I can't fault them for cleanliness bc the room was spotless. Next time make sure the carpet is thoroughly dry before closing up a room.
the hotel was rundown and when you complained nothing got done!!! Price was jacked up because of an event in town. We paid $162 a night and it normally was about $100. Will never stay again!!!
No curb appeal at all. The gal at the desk was barefoot, tank top no bra, filthy. Had me sign and initial paper and I left to go to room. Door card didn't work so back I went and my signed paperwork sat on the desk and she was back in the closed door office again. The next morning when we checked out she was still there, unfortunately looking the same. Not very presentable.
Do not be fooled by the name - this is a Motel - not the usual hotel days Inn. Basically it looks like a trucker stop --- keep driving 5 minutes in any other direction and there are much better places to stay.
