The reception area is beautifully decorated with castle theme, staff is very welcoming and friendly. Our room was freely upgraded to a deluxe room which was large, clean and well maintained. Although it is a 2-stars hotel, but have everything well maintained for a pleasant stay; the facility has swimming pool, hot tub, garden, restaurant and gym. Free internet is available throughout the facility. The resort has small chalets and all rooms comes with a balcony mostly facing pool, which can be noisy sometimes. Over all it’s a best place to live with family
I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. Was a memorable experience. Would recommend it to everyone and would like to go back again. Staff is helpful too. They have a restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the breakfast to the fullest. Thanks Ambreen Tariq
While the restaurant service and food was good, the internet was poor and the room was average. There was no shower screen in the bathroom, but there was a large rubber squeegee that we had to use to wipe the water away to the uncovered drain in the floor. Disappointing given that we were told that we were the first to use their newly renovated room.
Rooms were spacious and clean, but a bit smelly. Staff were normal and polite. Location was very close to beach, but some 20 minutes ride to airport. We paid an extra 25 AED/ person for breakfast and it was worth it. At the desk, we were charged for another 20% for tax and service fee, so take it into consideration before booking
First I thought in rating only " very good" because of yes, there are areas that internet doesn't work well, for that but i remember i told them how important was for me and they changed my room. To me more important is the cleaning, the pool with lifeguard, the restaurant, the spa,the sauna, the Gym the way they makes me feel. The big closets, the comfortable of the bed, the great landscape around that makes me feel relax. To me is excellent this is my favorite hotel in sharjah if is up to me i go every three months but is my son who buy me the tickets.I must travel every three months and I usually go to Sharjah or other emirate. When I go to Sharjah “The Verona resort” is the hotel that I like to go. if is up to my taste I like the Verona resort. Is not a fancy hotel but all I need is a great treatment and seat outside to hear the birds. The first time that I went to the Verona hotel, I complained, because it was far away from the airport, even the taxi driver had attitude apparently he didn’t like the idea to go far away at that time. He told me that 3:00 pm was the time in which the traffic, going from Dubai airport to Sharjah was really bad. My idea of the hotel was perfect because I wanted to finalize a book that I was writing and I was expecting that “great window looking at the sea while I write” I most explain to everyone that the beach is not near any window. I thought that I read that it was a hotel near the sea; therefore you must be careful when you read I misunderstood the advertisement that explained that within minutes distance to the sea and that was the truth perhaps I misunderstood because English is not my language. However as far as what I needed I felt in love with the hotel. Not only that has everything that a person need, a nice big pool with a lifeguard watching, and classes to swim a GYM , a spa, a Sauna, a room in which they celebrate weddings, the nice plants and palm trees makes one to feel relax like if one is in the countryside. When I went inside the hotel I felt welcome by the staff and I saw this beautiful decoration simulating a castle that I found interesting. The same place had a Big screen TV for custumers to use in case people want to hang out. That is the reception area; sometimes they offered tea with dates. They took me outside and my room was like a small house with balcony. I notice they had many of these small houses around the swimming pool but in other times I went to visit sharjah I stayed with my daughter on a building in the back. I didn’t see any elevator. The houses in the front get very good internet but the building in the back the internet is not that great if you manage there is some parts in the room that got it, I am glad I can say this because I have been more than one time and I had different rooms at that time I was able to use the internet in the area where they had the TV. I love the small houses because I can’t use the stairs and they have great internet. I didn’t like the bathtub because it was hard for me to get inside. That happened in all the rooms that I stayed. The rooms are equipped with everything, coffee, sleepers and even a towel robe, compliments of shampoo toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. etc. and has spacious closets and round table with desk. The TV was fine with the channels and clear. Is a hotel within a low budget, for the money that one pay I found it perfect. There is a tourist guide that gives information about the different attractions in Dubai or Sharjah. I has been booked in that hotel a total of four times. One time I stayed during the summer seven days, I went to an excursion that they organized in which with only 130 dollars the taxi driver took me to visit all the emirates, trip in which I was alone and took five hours. The location of the Hotel is far away from Dubai airport at least 20 minutes and more with traffic, and not far away from the Sharjah airport. I love it because is within the border of the emirate Ajman, therefore I only crossed the street and I was able to go to Ajman, in three minutes I was on a supermarket in which I bought bread and things for the trip, also there was a bakery an laundry near, stores , two or three pharmacies etc. However I suggest that people cross the street in the middle, because near the hotel is a roundabout and I feel is dangerous to cross the street there, but if you walk until you pass the circle it is safer. In the corner of the hotel you can find the public transportation busses that can take you to Dubai or Sharjah. Now my favorite of all, is the Marco polo restaurant one can eat breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast was not included on my package. The chef is a great cook I can testify that they have a buffet with variety of food and in the morning they can make you an omelet. They not only have Indian or Pakistani food but they also have spaghetti or food from the west. I was always treated like a queen, on an ocacion I wanted a special dessert, that they make on Fridays and it was not Friday, when I was about to leave they gave me the dessert The chef prepare it for me. Awesome that is extra job. However I must explain that the swimming pool is in the middle of the place and you might see women with swimming suits this is for whoever is religious and feel uncomfortable with that. This is my favorite hotel of all in Sharjah and I never make a review for them before because I was not on trip advisor. I hope the long review is of a good help for you.
we was there last night after making a booking through booking.com with my wife but unfortunate the receptionist guy didnot allow us to checkin due to he requires the marriage certificate as if he need to mention before in hand while doing the booking so we stayed the whole night outside the corniche because we were new in this place. So it was my worst experience by choosing your property and the guy from the receptionist was unpolite, lack of sense of humour and actually he has choosen wrong professional.
Stayed there 5 days, the room was large, clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, and included. Has a nice pool, and hot tub. The hotel was Quiet. Rooms have a patio with chairs.
First of all its not a 4 star hotel. Pictures shows new but furniture, washroom and accessories are old. Before booking I called to confirm about internet access and they said yes but when i got to my room there was none. I complained and they told me its only in reception or by the pool, if I want internet in my room I will have to upgrade to so called delux room (extra charge). The hotel is also very far from everything so you need your own transport or pay taxi. (65 aed to dubai).
We stayed 3 night in Verona Resort Sharjah. As we checked-in, a free upgrade was given! 👍 however the rooms are really old and the shower and bath is not working properly. The marco polo restaurant was very nice! But they serve the same food for lunch as for dinner.. The swimming pool is good! Dont expect anything from the "beach"... Our stay was ok!
Poor maintenance at this hotel. Nothing worked in my room. The tv, fridge, kettle, lamps, basically anything electrical didn't work in my room. Everytime I complained, front desk would send maintenance to fix and then after a few minutes it would be out again. Apparently the breaker was in another room occupied by someone else so the maintenance guy had to keep disturbing the people in the next room to get to the breaker. Since the problem continued through the night I didn't want maintenance to disturb the people in the next room so waited till morning to complain again and get maintenance out again which they did but of no use. I couldn't even charge my phone and never was able to use anything electricial in the room. I was only offered to change rooms 2 hours before checkout which didn't make sense. All they offered me was a 50% discount off the bill which I think is still too much to pay for what my family and I had to put up with. I would never visit this hotel again and would suggest that anyone else looking into this place to keep on looking cause you don't want to stay here.
