Nice hotel in a very westeren area of Shanghai. Rooms clean, nice and wide. Poor minibar and average breakfast. Did not like the cover of the garden. If you opt for a transparent roof you should keep it prefectly clean otherwise the feeling is poor.

overhall teh place is nice and service good. I wold def. consider it next time I have to spned some days inShanghai. just couple of issues. - the fan in the room is very noisy. Even at min speed i had to wear hearpads to sleep. (also i had difficulties to understand how the temperature works.. but maybe it is just me). - I had a beer at the restaurant on sat afternoon with complimentary nibbles (very good and tasty). the only issue was that finishing the beer i found out there was someting at the bottom of the glass. Not sure wath if was but the glass was not clean. Nothing major, it can happen. I am jsut poining it out. - I asked a express service for teh laundry the day before i was leaving. Teh staff was usper fast and friendly. the only issue i found my loundy on top of the sofa (that i am sure it is clean but teh bedsheets are probably cleaner) and the shrirts folded in a way that I would have ironed again if i had decided to wear them. (francjli jsut folded not ironed.. and not even folded normally. i gues it is a chinese way. maybe there were just in a hurry.

Location is great. Decent restaurants within walking distance. The room is spacious and quiet. Lots of plugs. Decent size of tv. Daily supply of bottle water. Great shower. The staff is very helpful with directions, where to go for restaurants, as well as helping with accessing our laptop in China. Bed is very comfortable. I do find I have to be careful when I get up at night as the bedroom is not in one step down from bathroom to bedroom, 2 steps down from bedroom to living room. Design is beautiful bit like Japanese style. Hard for seniors with eye issues.

Loved our stay at URBN. We originally booked 3 nights to spend time in Jing'an before we left for other parts of China. It was such an enjoyable stay that we decided to come back to Shanghai at the tail end of our trip to stay at the URBN for one more night before flying out. The rooms are stylish, spacious and very well appointed. We found that our rooms (#5,6) were very quiet with minimal street noise. The layout of the rooms is also very smart with large closets and a nice sitting/living area. Very functional. Lovely soaker tub and bubble bath too. Only downside is that they do not have synthetic (non down-filled) pillows which could be a problem if you have an allergy (as my partner does). Breakfast was excellent as some elements are a la carte and others are buffet. The patio is also lovely to dine on or to have evening drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will book it again next time we're in Shanghai.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel located at walking distance from the French concession. The rooms are very comfortable and very well decorated with wood and stone. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I tried many hotels in Shanghai, but this one remains my favourite.

After a tiring trip the lovely greeting on arrival at the URBN was greatly appreciated. The room and layout of the hotel was ideal. This is a welcoming and relaxing eco haven. I would definitely recommend this to others.

The Urbn is really well located near great shopping, restaurants and in a cool neighborhood. The room had a great design with nice built in benches and cupboards creating a minimal yet very comfortable space. The food in the restaurant was really nice. I had breakfast twice and ordered the "local specialties" of Red Bean soup and Roadside Congee. They were both delicious and the coffee was pretty decent as well. My only complaints are: 1. In my room there was a motion activated night light that turned on everytime I rolled over (in room #1) 2. Although very friendly, the woman at the front desk was clueless about how to help a visitor to the city find interesting things to do or navigate the neighborhood of the hotel. What nearby streets are nice to walk down (besides in the shopping mall)? No idea. How to hire a bicycle as an international with no chinese apps? No idea. Do you have a map at least? Sorry, no. The hotel should have provided her with much more training and resources to make her a great host to their guests.

My husband & I loved this property .. our first trip to Asia .. We were welcomed most graciously by Serena & Felix . We felt as if we were home . We are back in California & miss our friends @ Urbn ! One of our most memorable vacations .. We loved it so much we took photos w/ Felix & Serena .. Serenade your lovely staff !

The bath and bed were great. the room was very spacious and good breakfast. the hotel location was also good as many restaurants to choose and the area looks safe. The staff in the restaurant sometimes doesn't understand English, but overall I am satisfied with the service.

A cool design incorporates with sustainability concept! Like the reuse of old material as interior design ! Room layout is cool too, the continuous of working area to the bed to the living room. Long toilet is another cool deisgn I love !
