Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet, giving me directions to a function I was attending along with a helpful map, ensuring parking in car park and facilitating an early check in. If nothing else had gone right with hotel this lady ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped, comfortable and very good looking. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Great-looking boutique hotel in a lovely tree-lined street in Jing'an, 5 mins walk to the subway (which is just 4 stops from the Bund). Fab included breakfast, modern (smoothie bowl!) and unexpected menu for China. Rooms are immaculate, very large, and of high quality finish. Loved the sustainability considerations they had taken. The only suggestion to amend are the helpful motion-triggered floor lights in the bedrooms, which come on if you turn over in bed, and shine right in your face :)

We stayed here for two nights and it 's a very well experience. The room is clean and the service is good.We ordered a cake for our family member's birthday. The restaurant made a lovely cake for us and it was delicious.

Special thanks to all the friendly staff in URBN hotel (Hayao, Jimmy, Eric, the female manager 魚, as well as the two waitress who work on 2017/08/27 morning in the restaurant). We had a great experience during our stay in URBN. Def will come back again!

I've recently stayed at the URBN after a 2 year absence from Shanghai.....and from the Urbn. It is still as beautiful as I remember it! An eco-friendly boutique hotel made with wood and stone recommissioned by houses that were torn down in the French Concession (30's-40's), it is as elegant and as lovely as any of the reviews claim. But what makes the Urbn special for me is the level of the service. The front desk staff as is warm and welcoming as any I've encountered in my 20+ years of travelling for work - which is just what you need when you've come off a long-haul flight and desperate for a shower and a nap :-) I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants something a bit different that the standard 5* experience in large hotels. The location is perfect and I have no doubt that you will feel like an honoured guest rather than a "paying client".

Staffs are very friendly and helpful! They let us check out late on the day of departure. Fitness room is a plus! Breakfast excellent. The only problem was the humidity. The bed linen felt wet in the night.

ecofriendly, fashionable but relax, design and comfortable, this is an experience you wish to share with your friends only. Super well located in Jingan area, i found a little oasis of calm and green in the middle of busy Shanghai; A home feeling rather than a hotel one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent one-night stay at Urbn. The staff couldn't have been friendlier on arrival and the check-in was one of the easiest I've done. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge. I love the re-purposing of building materials...and suitcases... from the French Concessions. We enjoyed a free drink and snack in the bar before going out in the evening, and we enjoyed our breakfast the next morning.

Such a wonderful hotel. Super stylish, China's first "carbon neutral" hotel is mostly made from recycled materials. I stayed in one of the Studio rooms, not much of a view but a fabulous room: huge bed, sunken tub, big sitting area. It's very comfortable and well-located, with a lot within walking distance, including one of the main subway lines. The Jing An neighbourhood has a lot to recommend it, great restaurants, funky coffee shops, luxury high-end malls.

Very fashionable place with a really nice and complementary service. Amazing rooms, huge and quiet. Smooth check-in lately and checkout early. Great menu for the breakfast. At last, the restaurant playlist was PERFECT !
