The hotel itself very beautiful. With historical artifacts, design and atmosphere. The room was huge, really can feel relaxed and comfortable. The only downside is the service. Nobody informed the time of breakfast, and during breakfast didn’t assist the guest to table and ask coffee or tea. For a five star hotel at least must have a good service.
I stayed for 5 nights and was a bit disappointed ... After 3 nights the airco broke and all of a sudden water dropped down from the ceiling. No problem, changed room at 1 in the morning. In the new room the remote control went nuts .... No way to close the curtains .... WIFI: SLOW !!!!
We stayed here whilst visiting an expo at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Its not that close-by (approx RMB55 taxi fare/20 mins) but many other visitors also used this hotel, and it was probably the best hotel in the area The standard room offered to us was equivalent to a small apartment! It was clean, service was good and so was the restaurant food. Absolutely no complaints, just the opposite delighted with our choice and the price PS - Not sure why it's called a boutique hotel as it's large!
Stayed here for three nights on a business trip. Hotel lobby is impressive. Checking was slow. Rooms are big, mine smelled of smoke even though non smoking. The carpet was yuk. I kept my shoes on. Breakfast was a great choice of food. Chinese and western. Bar is small and expensive.
Nice and impressive entrance The executive are Spacious rooms but dirty carpets and dirty and smelly couches Couldn’t open the window and Aircon seems not to working correctly through that funny remote controller Sound proof is bad After my stay I had a smell on my clothes Staff speaks no English Bad location
Stunning property with very friendly staff. Few people speak good English, but try very hard to make sure you're taken care of. Hotel had a buffet style restaurant that was decent. With plenty of little shops just across the street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Have been here, there, done this, done that. Actually it has been quite nice to stay at the Boutique Hotel and have a dinner at there as well. Overall, decent price for value, it is quite close to Hongqiao Airport and Train Station, the lamb chops and sushi counter was quite good, loved their green garden section with plenty of vegetables and salad leaves. Strongly recommend this place for dinner.
Decent hotel but unfortunately the bad out way the good. - The hotel plus: - Great price for value - Great art work and sculptures - Great workout area The hotel negatives: - Staff does not know their own hotel, Room Service is terrible, they didn't even know the menu in the rooms, especially breakfast. - Staff does not speak great English so tourists beware - Gym is a bit far and it is shared with local area so pool will be busy with classes - Hotel is not secure and staff make many dangerous decisions concerning guest safety (My room door was opened at night by guests who had access to my room, but the chain on door stopped them, then an hour or two later another guest tried to enter my room and rang the door bell several times until I told him wrong room and go away) - I called down and the hotel manager said sorry they were drunk and confused, seriously that's all he said - Restaurant made us spend 2,000 REN in food in order for us to sit in private room, when we tried to tell them we didn't want private room they said they were full and that was the only option. - Carpets in that hotel and cleanliness are compared to Roadway Inns in the states, so you should always wear shoes in the room, (This is pretty common in China because they don't use vacuums often. Beyond this the hotel is located in a safe area and located next to many good restaurants, plus not far from Foreign Street where tourists can go and eat.
I was there for the 2nd time after 2013. Unfortunately, it did not improve. Check in was still ok. 1st room did stibk, so I needed to change. Not good. 2nd room ok , but airco not working, still "too early" to switch to cooling. Why ? The room had 27 C and I ended up to ask the room service to open the window, which was at least possible. It was cool enough outside to cool the room . Bed was OK. I did not test food. Fitness was outstanding , all new Technogym machines. Check out was super slow. Reminded me on the old Soviet Union.ast not least, the bell Captain did not get me a Taxi to Hongqiao Airport, I had to practically, force a driver from the street. Well, probably not again next time.
We had a comfortable stay in our 2 bedroom apartment. The room was very impressive - again huge, like everything in this hotel, although the gizmo for closing the curtains and switching lights on/off required a great deal of practice! The hotel lobby is impressive also, even by Shanghai hotel standards, and the rooms are excellent in both size and quality. Breakfast buffet is superb, although the service can sometimes vary when they are very busy. The gym and pool area is great, even though it is in the annex of the hotel requiring some walking.
