Wonderful location for walking around and clean rooms with elevator access. We were for girlfriends in 1 room and it was cozy but doable for 1 night. We arrived by train and took a cab to the hotel and the driver picked us up the next morning to take us to the airport. The staff was very helpful when trying to print our boarding passes. Cute boutique hotel.
Hotel Abril is quiet, cheep and clean with friendly helpful staff and conveniently situated for attractions. Good breakfast too. I enjoyed my time in Seville very much and the hotel was fine as somewhere to sleep.
Hotel Abril provided me with a comfortable and good value stay during my two days in the beautiful city of Sevilla. My room was spacious, with a bathroom, and the breakfast in the morning was sufficient for setting me up for the day ahead. One of the best features of the hotel was a free coffee bar virtually throughout the day, which enabled guests to have a hot drink and maybe even sample the delicious orange wine also on offer! The reception staff were extremely helpful and gave me a map of the city, pointing out the must-see sights and suggesting a walking route which would take them all in. I also took advantage of a free guided walking tour by 'Feel the city tours'. Overall, this was a good hotel and I would recommend it to others.
We spent four nights in Hotel Abril in March 2017, occupying a twin and a single room. Like other reviewers, we were a little surprised that the 'windows' opened onto onto the lobby, rather than onto the street. However, it quickly became apparent that this was a huge advantage! During our stay, there was no street noise whatsoever, something we have never before experienced in a city hotel! Also, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom mirror and wash hand basins were much larger than usual. Wifi was excellent, both in the bedrooms and in the breakfast room. Breakfast was very good value at 5 euro per day, and included juices, cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, meats and breads, as well as a selection of hot foods. Supplies were replenished frequently, so that whether we breakfasted early or late, there was always plenty of choice. The room also doubles as a 'day' room between 11a.m. and 10.p.m., which was an added bonus! Tea, coffee and biscuits were available all day free of charge and we enjoyed rounding off our evening meal in one of Seville's lovely restaurants with a coffee in the 'day' room of our own hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful or polite and we were made to feel welcome. For a 2 star hotel, the quality and value for money is excellent. Many a 4 star hotel could learn a thing or two from the Abril. We will definitely return.
Very nice location. Just behind the "Parasol" and 10 min afoot the Cathedral. Really nice staff. Good breakfast and copious. The hotel is very noisy and my room window was not on the outside but on a patio so not very private.
When we arrived at the hotel in the evening, they gave us a room with no window... To be more specific, the window was next to the door and was opening in the lobby...useless. We asked for another room but they said they are fully booked and that we can move the next day. The second room looked nice, with a small balcony facing the street. The big problem of this one was the noise during the night: in front of the hotel is a supermarket so.. the garbage car comes at 1.00 in the night and then, until 8 in the morning, the suppliers trucks come to bring the goods to the supermarket. The street is very narrow and the noise made by the persons that unload the goods from the trucks is awful. We tried to sleep with the cushions on the head, but we can't. Maybe if we had some ear plugs...
I traveled to Sevilla to visit my daughter studying there this semester; she actually found this lovely hotel for me. It was exactly what I was hoping for: a great location in a non-touristy feeling neighborhood, a bigger room than I was expecting with a small balcony overlooking the street and great location within walking distance to everything I wanted to see. Breakfast was a good deal if you committed to having it all of the days of your visit (5€ per day instead of 10) and it was varied and delicious -- Spanish tortillas, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a variety of meats, bread and pastries, juice, coffee and more. There was definitely some street noise until about midnight but I wasn't going to bed till after that anyway so it didn't bother me. I loved Hotel Abril and would definitely stay there again.
Excellent little hotel. Fantastic location. Great breakfast for 1 euro extra. Quiet and peaceful Street. Extremely economical. Very attentive. Got an upgrade. Recommended for a nice short break or longer. Tea, coffee and pastries all day long. Nice little patio room to chill out.
We were here as a family of 4 in a shared room. Their front desk staff is attentive and helpful with great advice for tourists. Breakfast was reasonable and had an excellent variety- a great value. By American standards, the room was not very big, but was certainly adequat e. Location was great to walk to all major Seville sights. Summary: Value hotel with good location and kind staff
This place is classified as a 2 star hostel, but feels like a hotel. It is situated in the historic old town of Seville, and being in an old building has character, but quite small rooms. Nevertheless, it squeezes in a minibar, television, air conditioning and a good en suite bathroom. Decent wifi is also included. I found the place meticulously clean, and whilst simple, it is comfortable. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. I paid around 34€ which seems excellent value for what is provided. I wouldn't hesitate to return. If you want a decent, clean, comfortable place to tour Seville on a budget, this place must be hard to beat.
