I sprung for a “Gran Deluxe” room instead of a basic & it was less than mediocre. Room 117 looked kind of like it was under construction - the area where you would wash your hands / hang clothes in their “closet” one of the walls was a glass atrium with roller shades (except that’s where the mirror for the bathroom hung). We were not told but with the lights on it was completely see through from the front door of our hotel room. The lighting for the mirror was misplaced high in the ceilings and in front of where the makeshift mirror was and so it was hard to see what you were doing (in terms of putting on makeup / grooming).
In addition, there was no coffee or tea maker or information about the prices of things in the mini bar or room service information. There was no box of tissue, no hand lotion, no outlets near the bed for charging phones.
I specifically rented this hotel because it had a gym in it and the gym had 4/4 machines out of service. So we were given “passes” to a local gym close by but it had very limited hours on weekends (10-3 on Saturday and 5-8 on Sunday).
The elevator smelled like sewage inside of it over the three days we stayed there and someone had dropped sugar packets all over the floor of the elevator which were not cleaned up for over 4 hours. A lot of painting and small Reno’s happening including the atrium main floor which was completely blocked off. Even the keycards we were given were dirty (had gum or dried stuff on them). :(
