This hotel is centrally located and right on top of Gongdeok station. It's a good 7 minutes walk from the airport train to the hotel within the station. A bakery right across from the street, and a supermarket in the basement. I have stayed here multiple times and it's my to-go choice!
I recently stayed in the hotel for a short trip. So far so good until I checked out and left my luggage and backpack for 3 hours at the hotel left luggage area as I decided to go nearby for lunch. However I forgot I left my home currencies in an envelope in my backpack. I claimed back my backpack and luggage and only get to remember about my home currencies in my backpack while on the way to airport. I then realised the whole envelope was gone from my backpack called the hotel reporting the incident. It did surprise me that they called me in less than half an hour informing that they saw nothing wrong from CCTV...I could not help feeling disappointed theft could happen in a hotel of reasonable standing..though I had my carelessness to blame..I do not think I want to stay in this hotel again...
The hotel itself is a very lovely and I am very satisfy in general. Pros: 1. Location is great, there is a subway station beneath the hotel. 2. There are restaurants / cafes on B1, you can grab the breakfast there if you don't have the breakfast included in your package. 3. The room itself is nice, pretty spacious for a business hotel. The toilet is a clean and have a rain shower! 4. The staff can speak good English and very polite. Cons: 1. MAJOR ISSUE - construction outside the hotel, and it is super noisy even at night! The site is operating 24x7 and seriously you can't sleep at night. The hotel should put the note on the hotel booking website to let the customer know in advance, then I have a choice to go ahead to book or choose another hotel. Even when I checked in, the staff didn't advice there is construction going on and my room is directly facing the site! Until I approached the front desk, then they should me a notice about the construction and offer to change the room not facing the site. 2. The staff is nice but they refused to help to bring the package to the rooms but I must collect from the front desk. When I checked in, I was informed there are 3 boxes for me, so I was can you please help me to send it to my room, but the answer is "we can send the stuff to the room, I must collect it my myself" so I dumped my luggage into my room first and went back to front desk to collect. 3. There is no plug near the bedside to charge your phone, only at the writing desk. 4. The pillows are too soft, you might want to check with the front desk if you want a harder pillow. 5. The supermarket on B1 is closed.
This is a really lovely hotel. Room was beautiful and the bathroom was super. I couldn't stop raving to my friends about the shower. I would have stayed in there forever. Comfy bed as well. Hotel is also located above a major subway station so was very easy to get around the city. There was also a Dunkin Donuts across the street, which being from Boston, made me laugh. The pool was also pretty fantastic and I had it to myself both times I went down to swim.
This hotel is directly from the metro station. Not far from the airport and good access to the city center. The hotel room is clean and has everything. Quiet and nice hotel, but I didn't see any other customers at the hotel floor. The facility is really big and if you are alone, you may feel a bit lonely.
Hotel located above several floors of light shopping, few restaurants, and a huge supermarket. Note that hotel does not provide room service, however it's locality makes up for that. Hotel comes with great indoor pool but no lifeguard, which is alright. The pool is a great place to destress after a days work. Location wise, it is linked to the Gongdeok station which is a huge train interchange for many lines. Also the airport train line has a stop here. Airport bus 6015 stops at the main road of this hotel as well. Hotel room is great and modern. Clean and I felt at ease during my 2 week stay. It's a great hotel overall, and if I had to come back to Seoul, this would be my choice.
This is a clean, well-managed hotel in the Seoul Mapo district. The room we had was small, but well maintained. The hotel has a well-maintained swimming pool and a bar/lounge. The staff were polite and helpful, and spoke English. We had a late flight and they were happy to hold our luggage for the day after we had checked out. The bar is overly expensive, as is the breakfast buffet - arrange to eat and drink elsewhere unless you're on the company card. There is a close airport bus pickup, but be aware that the bus does not come to the hotel itself. I would advise having someone point out exactly where the pickup is before you head out to catch the bus, as there are a number of bus stops close by. If you don't speak or read Korean, you are likely to get confused (as we did).
Rooms are very good and clean Breakfest offer are very good and with different type of food. It is good that employees monitor every table and if you want to be alone, on table for 4, they will respect that. Location are ok and neer to metro crossroads.
Exceptional customer service from their outstanding and professional staff. Very clean rooms and the hotel has a laundry facilities on site. Very nice gym. This hotel is a very great place to stay for your business or personal travel. It will be my pleasure to stay at the Lotte City Hotel, Mapo, South Korea
We stayed for three nights. When we checked in on 5/10 around 1:00 pm, the counter staff (a woman) looked unhappy. Only provide 1 room card and did not tell us the breakfast time, where to dine, how to go to our room. This is the basic service at least. Beside this, others are ok including check out service. Please benchmark your staff quality, because you are lotte hotel which is one of the most famous hotel in Korea.
