Rooms are very good and clean Breakfest offer are very good and with different type of food. It is good that employees monitor every table and if you want to be alone, on table for 4, they will respect that. Location are ok and neer to metro crossroads.
Exceptional customer service from their outstanding and professional staff. Very clean rooms and the hotel has a laundry facilities on site. Very nice gym. This hotel is a very great place to stay for your business or personal travel. It will be my pleasure to stay at the Lotte City Hotel, Mapo, South Korea
We stayed for three nights. When we checked in on 5/10 around 1:00 pm, the counter staff (a woman) looked unhappy. Only provide 1 room card and did not tell us the breakfast time, where to dine, how to go to our room. This is the basic service at least. Beside this, others are ok including check out service. Please benchmark your staff quality, because you are lotte hotel which is one of the most famous hotel in Korea.
We booked the superior double room and the toilet is huge. We arrived to the hotel at 9.45am but were not able to check in and will be charged for 1 night's price for early check in so we waited till later. The receptionists speaks English which is a good thing. If you are looking for eateries, it is across the road. Just ask them where as it is hidden in an alley. The train station at this hotel is Gongdeok so it's 2 stops away from Hongik University station (that's where Hongdae area is). The shuttle bus service is really helpful as it goes to Myeongdong, The Palace and Seoul Station. The shuttle bus ajusshi is really friendly, just that he cannot speak English. Just right below the hotel, there is a large supermarket and some cafes. If you are looking for a quieter area to stay, this hotel will be perfect.
For a European the most disappointing aspect is surely breakfast. At a 4 star Hotel I would expect some choice for fruits in the morning, non only overripe bananas, canned fruit and apples and oranges that besides are not even in season. At dinner they offer fresh pineapple, it would surely be appreciated also in the morning. What is served as croissant is in reality some sort of sweet bread. Ever tried a real one? Swimming pool was ok, but quite crowded also the changing rooms are tiny. Rooms are ok but a little out of style with that old carpet. Some charging possibility near the bed area would be appreciated. Reception was friendly. At night you can still hear a lot of noise from the streets.
We stayed at the Lotte City Hotel Mapo as part of a group of Asia Pacific visitors doing a study tour of Korea. This hotel was very central and well located as it was connected to a subway station, which made it very easy to go to almost every part of Seoul. The room was not very large, but was quite comfortable. Breakfast was good with a choice of local and western dishes.
The hotel located downtown. easy to go to tourist places. The room is cozy but very homely atmosphere! staff was super friendly, everything was very clean. If I have a chance definitely stay at Lotte city hotel mapo.
During a professionnal trip in China / Korea, staying few nights il Lotte City Hotel Mapo Very nice bedroom, clean, confortable and quiet. We had a nice diner with colleagues. Every one is lovely and ready to help.
The hotel is clean, has a decent swimming pool (heated water), a small fitness centre, and is well located, less than 20 minutes away from Yeouido, Hongdae, Itaewon, and Gwanghwamun. The food is okay, and the rooms are - as you'd expect in this part of Asia - pretty small. Staff are friendly.
The service in the hotel is excellent. There is a very nice sauna at hotel where you can relax a tired body after a long day of work, and plenty of nice places to eat nearby in Myeongdong. The room in itself is not very big. I also stayed at Hotel Shilla at Mapo-Gu. Same room, less bowing, and not the nice sauna, but half the price - if you want to indulge yourself choose Lotte City Hotel, if you want something slightly more cost effective go for Hotel Shilla.
