I've spent 7 days in Lotte Mapo Hotel and I have to admit that it's perfect choice for people who wants to travel around Seoul. Rooms are elegant and extremly functional. Reception Desk Officers are helpful and really profesional. They have perfect breakfast! I can honestly recommend this hotel.
I had an opportunity to have a stay in Lotte city hotel mapo recently. I was staying in a double bed room. The room is not considered big but it is comfortable enough. What I enjoy is the bathroom is big. The shower room and toilet seats are separate so it can keep dry. There is a bathtub too. The facilities in hotel include gym and pool. The location is very convenient. It is located at gongdeok station and it is very near to the subway station. It is right beside the subway station! You don't even have to go out from the station because there is a lift link to the hotel. at the basement of hotel, there are lots of restaurants. Convenient shop is just at the opposite of the hotel too. Besides, it takes only one station (5mins) to hongdae! gongdeok station has the airport railway so you can go to airport directly. It was a nice stay. If u have some budget and prefer for a comfortable stay, u can consider lotte city hotel in mapo!
+ location: just in front of (old headquarter of)kodit, besides there are plenty of companies around hotel, perfect for business trip service: offered shuttle bus from seoul station - a bit pricey if staying alone
I had the opportunity to stay at this Lotte City as well during my recent visit to Seoul. The hotel, although it is bit older than the one in Myeondong, it is great. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was outstanding. The rooms were more spacious than the one in Myeondong and they were very clean and comfortable. The bed, no disappointment here either. I slept very comfortably. These Lotte City beds have nothing to ask to the ones at the Four Seasons in Dallas Texas. The bathrooms are very nice, spacious with an electronic bidet and a soaker tub with shower combo. The hotel has free fast wi-fi, laundromat, gym and a pool. The location is in a less tourist area, but has direct access to the subway and major avenues. The hotel is on top of a subte complex with restaurants, hair salons, and supermarket. Loved it and I would go back without any hesitation.
Lotte city hotel got all you need in one spot. This high rise building is located in the city center and attracts a lot of visitors both foreign and locals. The malls and accommodation facility are great. Be sure to also make friends here. It is crowded on holidays and weekends.
I really enjoyed my stay here! I want to return to Seoul, and when I do I'll likely come back to this hotel. The room wasn't huge, but it was well-appointed and didn't feel cramped. There was a fridge and a safe in the room, and the bathroom had a tub and a separate shower (plus a retractable laundry line). Bed was comfortable but on the firm side, as seems standard in Korea. There is a control for all the lights and the A/C next to the bed. The room was really quiet, too (I stayed on the eighth & top floor). Everything in the hotel was very clean and modern, and there's a pretty little pocket park outside with places to sit. Staff was very friendly--I really don't speak Korean well at all, but they spoke or understood enough English that it wasn't a problem. The hotel has a buffet restaurant, which is very good but pricey. It's also located atop a small but complete supermarket and a bunch of casual eateries, so there was no shortage of affordable, convenient, and quite tasty dining options. The airport train stops here, as does a commuter rail and two subway lines (Gongdeok Station), so getting around is super-easy. In addition, there's a big bus stop outside. One thing that I found extremely charming about the hotel is that, because there's a women's clinic in the building, there are TONS of families with small children staying there. If you're hoping for quiet time in the swimming pool (or planning a Spring Break rager), too bad, but I thought all the kids were absolutely adorable. If you're traveling with young family members, I would definitely recommend this place--you'll fit right in!
Our room number was 731 and the room quality was great the pool on the 4th floor was a bit humid and hot and it isn't very deep but it is wide and there is a very nice view from the pool window we there is breakfast but not all rooms come with breakfast especially ours. The service was GREAT, Very nice staff! And the market on B1 was also amazing everything you want is there like ANYTHING from breakfast to dinner and the stores right next to it are also amazing we ate at Subway and the food is so good. I really recommend this hotel. for anyone!
This hotel is centrally located and right on top of Gongdeok station. It's a good 7 minutes walk from the airport train to the hotel within the station. A bakery right across from the street, and a supermarket in the basement. I have stayed here multiple times and it's my to-go choice!
I recently stayed in the hotel for a short trip. So far so good until I checked out and left my luggage and backpack for 3 hours at the hotel left luggage area as I decided to go nearby for lunch. However I forgot I left my home currencies in an envelope in my backpack. I claimed back my backpack and luggage and only get to remember about my home currencies in my backpack while on the way to airport. I then realised the whole envelope was gone from my backpack called the hotel reporting the incident. It did surprise me that they called me in less than half an hour informing that they saw nothing wrong from CCTV...I could not help feeling disappointed theft could happen in a hotel of reasonable standing..though I had my carelessness to blame..I do not think I want to stay in this hotel again...
The hotel itself is a very lovely and I am very satisfy in general. Pros: 1. Location is great, there is a subway station beneath the hotel. 2. There are restaurants / cafes on B1, you can grab the breakfast there if you don't have the breakfast included in your package. 3. The room itself is nice, pretty spacious for a business hotel. The toilet is a clean and have a rain shower! 4. The staff can speak good English and very polite. Cons: 1. MAJOR ISSUE - construction outside the hotel, and it is super noisy even at night! The site is operating 24x7 and seriously you can't sleep at night. The hotel should put the note on the hotel booking website to let the customer know in advance, then I have a choice to go ahead to book or choose another hotel. Even when I checked in, the staff didn't advice there is construction going on and my room is directly facing the site! Until I approached the front desk, then they should me a notice about the construction and offer to change the room not facing the site. 2. The staff is nice but they refused to help to bring the package to the rooms but I must collect from the front desk. When I checked in, I was informed there are 3 boxes for me, so I was can you please help me to send it to my room, but the answer is "we can send the stuff to the room, I must collect it my myself" so I dumped my luggage into my room first and went back to front desk to collect. 3. There is no plug near the bedside to charge your phone, only at the writing desk. 4. The pillows are too soft, you might want to check with the front desk if you want a harder pillow. 5. The supermarket on B1 is closed.
